Creative Reuse in Functional Art: Tammy Roy


Tammy Roy makes industrial works of functional art that are created in part, or entirely of reclaimed steel and celebrate a raw, eco-inspired look.

"While my background is graphic design, my interest in creating things out of metal, especially reclaimed metal, stems from my mom’s “hobby” of rummaging through industrial dumpsters and scrapyards. I have since become completely obsessed with reuse and creating objects from discarded metal."

    Tammy's art sometimes leaves me speechless. It's just so inspired, raw, contemporary and rustic all at the same time. I was an instant fan of her work and have only grown to love it more and more as time goes by. She never ceases to amaze me!
