This sounds like a great approach to rethinking eating. Today it seems everyone is a self-described "foodie" and if they're not instagramming what they ordered then they're yelping what to eat at restaurants. But sometimes I wonder whether this army of eaters knows more about the experience of dining at restaurants (and ordering food prepared for them) than about food itself--how it's created, where it came from, what ingredients are in the dishes they love. It'll be really interesting to hear how this app does!

"Food porn abounds, yet we get no closer to understanding the “how” of food creation and not just the “what” of recipes." So true. This is a great idea. Can't wait to try it.

Not me! I rather cook any day than do my taxes. I really like this idea, and I'm excited to follow along as the product moves out of beta. I'm always on the look out for recipe apps.
