Putting Microlending to the Test

A new study has found that while there is no clear correlation between microloans and families getting out of poverty, there are several other benefits. This is true of both nonprofit and high interest for profit loans. Basically, it was found that loans empowered female borrowers and boosted confidence. In addition, few were significantly worse off after getting loans. So what do you think? Still feeling uneasy about the power of microlending?
