What would be a valid reason to stop and frisk anyone? Would he or she have to be threatening someone with a gun and would it have to get violent before something is done about it? Obviously we all need to watch our backs and be cautious anywhere we go, and the police most definitely should not abuse their power- but how do we ensure people's safety? I saw a sign the other day on Santa Monica Blvd on a street light that said: You are being filmed, courtesy of the LAPD, for safety reasons. Something to that effect. I didn't see any cameras, but is it possible we'll have security drone cameras in the future, to get all Big Brother on us? (Sounds so paranoid- but I just wonder how seriously we should take our own personal security, regardless of how we perceive people's race). We should really be paying attention to demeanor and behavior, not the color of people's skin.
