Living in New York's Lower East Side, seeing any patch of green was so important to feeling connected with some kind of nature. In that area you can basically count the number of trees you see on two hands. Great work going against Giuliani to save the gardens, hopefully we'll see even more green spaces in urban areas in the coming years.
