Perfect Strangers In Intimate Photos

In his series Touching Strangers, photographer Richard Renaldi makes a strong statement about our basic desire to make meaningful connections. He pulls strangers off the street and asks them to pose together as if they were family or good friends. The experiment often starts out awkward and tentative , he says, but always ends with the participants feeling like “Thanksgiving at Aunt Margaret’s.”

This is the heartwarmer of the week

I absolutely love this series. It's amazing to see them so comfortable posing this way. I wonder what he did to make them feel ok in front of the camera?
