Pencil Dropping Around the Globe

While backpacking India & Nepal, I was often approached by children asking for pencils, but I didn't have any to give. As a result, I created 1,000 pencils which I have since been distributing on my travels around the world. Emblazoned with the latin phrase "Ars Longa, Vita Brevis" (Life is Short, the Art Long), these pencils are intended to inspire those who find them. Part sculptural installation art, part relational street art, these pencils have made their way to 14 countries and counting.

    This is such a cool project. I love how the phrase "Life is Short, the Art Long" is really appropriate for the medium you're using. Have you done any other global projects like this?
