Palestinians Upcycle Used Grenades to Create Poignant Living Garden

Residents of the Palestinian village Bilin have created a stunning garden by upcycling hundreds of used Israeli tear gas grenades. The unusual flower pots are meant to honor those killed in the ongoing violence that takes place along the West Bank separation barrier, which Palestinians say cut into their land, Israelis say the wall is needed to keep attacks at bay. Mohammed Khatib, a village organizer, says the unconventional yet beautiful garden is meant to show that life can spring from death.
