Oregon Bans Pesticides After 50,000 Bees Die in Parking Lot

After an insecticide called Safari was sprayed over blooming trees in a Target parking lot in Oregon—in an attempt to kill aphids—more than 50,000 bees died. Now the state has banned the product, along with similar pesticides, for six months while the Department of Agriculture investigates. Weirdly, it's still ok for stores to sell the pesticides; it's just illegal to use them.
