On April 29, 1992 Los Angeles erupted after four white police officers were acquitted in the beating of Rodney King. The L.A. Riots left 53 people dead, and thousands injured. And, 21 years later, their impact still echoes across the city. This collection of photos and stories will make you wonder if Americans are having the conversations about race that we need to have, and if our communities are getting the social and economic justice they need to prevent this from happening again.
