No Screws or Nails: This Machine Joins Furniture With Colorful Thread

Anton Alvarez, a recent graduate from the Royal College of Art, designed a machine that wraps up materials with thread to create his unique furniture. He wanted to join a range of materials, like wood, plastic, and metal, that would normally be hard to attach. I wonder if something like this could inspire different techniques in mass manufacturing, where one big sustainability challenge is how to make things that can easily be taken apart for recycling.
