No Pet Left Behind: New Bill Would Require Pet Evacuation Plans

A new bill unanimously approved by the Massachusetts state Senate would require cities and towns to have evacuation and shelter plans for pets and service animals. Animals often get left behind in disaster situations, or sometimes owners stay behind putting first responders at risk. If passed by the House, Massachusetts will stand with 13 other states who have similar bills.
