New Study Identifies Portland Neighborhoods At Risk of Gentrification and Provides Mitigation "Toolbox"

A new study hopes to give planners in Portland, OR tools to mitigate harm to neighborhoods at risk of gentrification, which has led in cities across the world to displacement of historically segregated and underprivileged communities.

The study, commissioned by the City of Portland's Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, and conducted by Lisa K. Bates of Portland State University, uses public data to identify at-risk areas in the city.
