Bruce, great article and thank you for putting such words of tribute to a great man. I too am South African born and you mirror my own experience of those years we experienced from apartheid to freedom years. South Africa has changed and unquestionably so due to this great man. "Proudly South Afican" in my eyes is attributed to Madiba. I am proud to have lived there through those times and seen the works of man we didn't know existed due to propoganda to a man that became the icon of the SA itself. Amazing times, amazing being.

Please do your part today (or as soon as possible) in celebration of his birthday with 67 minutes of community service and grant him his birthday wish. Give 67 minute for all of his years as a activist and leader in South Africa in your community. Happy birthday Madiba!!

Mandela is as much "Master of South Africa's Fate" as George Washington is of America's. Mandela is now but the ANC's useful mascot and little more.

After Mandela's death--if the ANC propaganda machine permits it--I give South Africa less than 10 years before the ANC are thrown out, with the bath water.
