I’ve been to Mt. Rushmore. I’ve touched the Bean in Chicago. I’ve sat and smoked a cigarette at Mission Dolores Park in San Francisco. And now I can say that I’ve walked the block of the Heidelberg Project in Detroit.
As an Urbanist and a lover of placemaking it was one of those impressionable moments in my career that I know I will rehearse over-and-over in my mind to try to recreate that experience of place.
