Most U.S. Architects are Old, White, and Male

Across the U.S., only one in four architects is female, according to a new NEA study. In some places, it's even worse: in Arkansas, only one in 15 is a woman. This is despite the fact that women make up about 40 percent of architecture graduates. (Some good news in the study: for anyone wanting to work as an architect, male or female, one place with lots of jobs and high pay is Hawaii).
