Major Oil-Producer Saudi Arabia Announces Renewable Energy Targets

Saudi Arabia, possessor of one of the largest oil reserves on the planet, has announced a plan to power more than one-quarter of their energy needs using solar and wind by the year 2032. At the same time the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KA-CARE), has announced another ambitious plan to increase nuclear power production to 17 gigawatts.
