It's amazing to me how willingly people drank the koolaid that Obama poured. Anything that was asked of him to show QUALIFICATIONS was met with opposition and cry's of racism. He demonizes those supposed top 2% of Americans as evil, but look what they inject into our economy...jobs.....huge contributions to the flow of cash. Liberal media brings up things like Warren Buffets secretary is taxed at a higher rate. They conveniently leave out the fact that Warren Buffet pays capital gains, the companies he invests in already pay at 35% which brings his tax rate to 50% when it all shakes out. But those bad wealthy people! huh?

We ask for voter ID and liberals are outraged, we ask that people take drug tests to receive welfare and that's racists. We're not allowed to ask people be responsible anymore. Obama ran for office at the perfect time, we were supposed to feel guilty by questioning his qualifications. Keep drinking the Koolaid and ignore real facts.

Just to clarify for the intellectually challenged and emotionally vapid. The Tea Party actually started as a response to George Bush, not Obama. You should really try thinking for yourselves. Nothing good comes from getting on your knees and allowing someone to force feed you information.

  • mam58

I don't believe Donald Trump is himself a racist. What he is doing is cynically exploiting the racism of others. To me, that is worse.

  • caseyfortitude

Lisa Carvin, you denounce the race card only after promptly using it. Hypocrite much? Since electing a black president republicans have set an American record for filibusters. Since electing a black president, a President, for the first time in American history, was yelled down during his own address setting a dangerous new precedent for lack of respect towards the presidency. Since electing a black president a fundamentalist sect of republicans have regrouped as Tea Partiers, an event that no white democrat seemed to provoke. Only after 40+ white presidents and during the first black presidents rule do republicans have the audacity and ignorance to demand a Presidents "papers". No President in history has been subjected to such resistance and disrespect. Do I have to paint you a picture by number? Lisa, your comment about there being no blatant proof that Trump is racist is stupid if you, in deed, read the article. This isn't blatant racism. No, Trump isn't burning a cross on his lawn. But it is LATENT RACISM proven through Mr. Trumps words and actions. And, according to you, he's proven he is not racist by selecting black people to participate in his shows. But after Trump claims that hiring Arsenio Hall makes him not racist, somehow he comes off sounding more racist than ever. Only a racist would rationalize that throwing a black person a bone (choosing them to win) absolves him of his racism. Same goes for you, Lisa. And try pulling your head out of Fox News' ass and read some objective factual journalism sometime. Your brain will thank you.

  • Lisa Carvin

I'm onboard with what LiberalsRCommies had to say. There is no evidence to support in the article to indicate that Donald Trump is racist. Tump has brought Black ppl. and ppl. of our heritages on both the Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice (his tv shows). There is no hard-and-fast evidence that trump is racist. Even if he were; it's a non-issue. Obama has been both lying and hiding information about his birth and his true identity (multiple Social Security numbers), has closer relation with the Muslim Brotherhood than Israel, has been videoed refusing to place his hand over his heart during our National Anthem, his parents and grandparents were and/or had allegiances to communists, and this list of inconsistent behavior for a U.S. President goes on and on. Had Romney or another white person been elected to executive Office; particularly a conservative, he or she would have been impeached and out on his or her arse for such duplicity. I think it's time for our country to "grow a pair" and stop pulling out the race card. Black, white or purple, Barack Hussein Obama is an impostor with an agenda of tearing down America as the most powerful and prosperous Nation in the world.

Since when is it racist to have a candidate or president present credentials that they are natural born citizens as requited to hold the position of president

  • nyc2char

.....and its driving the Donald craaaaaaazzzzzzzzyyyyyy!

  • nyc2char

Well now....Toby May...you sure do expect a whole hell of a lot out of this one Black man, now dontcha? Did you demand all your requests from the last five presidents????? Probably not. I'm suspecting that you want nothing short of a full-blown apocalyptic miracle from this man BEFORE you will give him his due! The thing is...for you and people like you.......if our President did do all those things...right the wrongs of the last 5,6,7 presidents.....that STILL would NOT be enough. No..my friend....you all would just huddle together and create a whole host of OTHER miracles, more "hoops" for him to jump thru. I like this President. He's a far better man than most.....and its killing you.

  • Willow Blitzer

You'd say anything to make an article. Trump can say whatever he wants.

    • Roby Darmanin

...And he does. Which proves money does not make you intelligent. Only bigotted and racist, perhaps.

  • TIGERS

THE RACE CARD IS STILL THE GO TO. IT IS PATHETIC TO CLAIM A PERSON RACIST BECAUSE THEY DISAGREE WITH OBAMA. MAYBE THEY JUST DONT LIKE THE DIRECTION THE COUNTRY HAS GONE THE LAST 4 YEARS. NATIONAL DEBT HAS DOUBLED. THIS IS ALARMING. OVER 93% OF BLACKS VOTED FOR OBAMA WHILE ONLY 64% OF WHITE PEOPLE VOTED FOR ROMNEY. QUIT USING THE RACE CARD IT IS OUTDATED.

    • caseyfortitude

Screaming "You Lie!" during a President's address is not disagreeing with his policy. It is the first time and the only President to have this done to. The following website is a graph of the number of filibusters that have been used through out American history. The number of filibusters under Obama is UNGODLY compared to those under white presidents. Policy-wise, Obama is similar to Clinton, especially with taxes, so why no filibuster abuse under Clinton's Presidency? Seriously, look at the graph, it is eye opening. Filibuster abuse has become so rampant in the republican party, some are now historically calling for filibuster reform. It's great that so many white people did not take race into consideration during the election but that doesn't account for the fact that racism still persists today and that this President has experienced more resistance than any democratic President before him. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/post/the-history-of-the-filibuster-in-one-graph/2012/05/15/gIQAVHf0RU_blog.html

      CAPS-LOCK CRAZY MAKES ME RIGHT!!!111!!!

      lOl @ you, ranting bullsh!t in CAPS-LOCK-CRAZY...
Are you another grumpy old white man whose vision is so poor you can't see the letters? Or simply another nut w/Obama derangement disorder? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

FYI, Mitt got the LARGEST % of the white vote than any other POTUS whereas President Obama got representative votes from both races - including Hispanics.

The fact that most whites voted for RMoney (despite him being a pathological liar who deemed 47% of the nation as worthless moochers & vulture capitalist/pioneer in US outsourcing, making him EVERYTHING that's wrong w/America) only underscores the rampant racism that runs thru the entire GOP.

BTW, The deficit has been reduced by 200 billion $.

      You're welcome, ingrate. :)

President Obama did not double the nat'l debt but GW Bush did or did u conveniently forget that Clinton left him a surplus that he ballooned to $10M? It's painfully obvious ur ignorant on the topic of racism as u've never experienced discrimination enough to discern when someone is being disingenuous abt their racism. folx like donald trump count on u to take up their badge of ignorance w/o fact checking. when the white folx of this country stop engaging in racism, it will go away, i promise u.

      • CAMaven

Obama increased the national debt $6 trillion in only four years. Bush added $4 trillion in eight years, not good either, but Obama is increasing the debt at nearly triple the annual pace that Bush did.

      • CAMaven

No. Bush and Congress increased the debt by $4 trillion in 2 terms- eight years. Obama has already increased the debt by $5-6 trillion in only one term, 4 years. Therefore, Obama is increasing the nominal national debt at nearly three times the rate that Bush did, not that either one did a good job.

        • Elisa Velez

President Obama's 1st term budget was a carry over of Bush policies which he REDUCED by $.376 trillion.

          From bush to obama

the federal budget works on a fiscal year from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30 of each year & 1/3 of the 2009 fiscal year had already passed before President Obama took office in Jan 2009 - The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the Obama administration inherited a deficit of $1.3 trillion the day it walked in the door.

^ in simple words - IT'S BUSH YOU'RE MAD AT!

additional Factors contributing to the deficit:

          1) Stimulus bill that saved 2 million jobs and provided $360 billion in tax breaks (most at the request of the republicans)

          2) the cost of the wars which Bush hid in appropriation bills (he HID the cost, president obama put it out there in the open!)

          3) the 2nd half of Tarp that was already spoken for in the budget & which Obama was SMART enough to put regulations & stipulations on (something bungling boob bush didn’t do the first time around & which allowed the corps to use $ for crazy things like bonuses! THANKFULLY, with Obama, we also got clear timeline’s for repayment – Heck Chrysler paid their loan back 6 years early!)

          4) finally the interest on the debt in the budget.

          furthermore...

The day when President Bush took office in 2001, there was a $236 billion surplus, with a projected 10yr. surplus of $5.6trillion!!

The day Obama took office there was a $1.3trillion deficit, with projected shortfalls of $8trillion over the next 10yrs.

President Bush's swing from surpluses to deficits added more debt in its eight years than ALL the previous administrations in the history of our republic combined!!

you republicans cannot demonize President Obama about the direct impact of Bush/Cheney policies; According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities

CBPP: "Virtually the entire deficit over the next ten years" due to Bush policies, economic downturn

CBPP: "The tax cuts enacted under President George W. Bush, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the economic downturn together explain virtually the entire deficit over the next ten years." In a December 16, 2009, analysis of federal deficits -- which was revised on February 17 -- the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) stated:

"Some critics charge that the new policies pursued by President Obama and the 111th Congress caused the huge federal budget deficits that the nation now faces. In fact, the tax cuts enacted under President George W. Bush, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the economic downturn together explain virtually the entire deficit over the next ten years." [emphasis in original]

Who could not figure ^ THAT out except lying republicans who have amnesia for anything prior to January 20, 2009.

TYT – discusses the hypocrisy of republicans who want to fault Obama day 1 for the deficit
          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWfl1NIsy14&feature=player_embedded

Finally, Bush’s last budget had a $1.416 trillion deficit. Obama’s first budget reduced that to $1.29 trillion. Finally, 96% of the “debt” was carry over from Bush programs.

          You’re welcome ingrate(s)

Barack Obama is just another guy who holds the office of POTUS. Criticism of him and his mistakes and weaknesses and failures aren't "racism". It's just the truth.

He's a "feel good" President. He's been reelected on feel-good politics- the politics of denial of real issues of complexity and of deep importance to the future generations of this nations.

The he might be the right guy at the right time he lacks the right capabilities at the wrong time.

Ombama could surprise everyone and suddenly show a real interest in foreign policy, economics, defense, tax reform, constitutional issues and more but i think he's being kept from rising to the occasion by his handlers.

As a die-hard conservative, i suddenly understand what it is his re-election says about America: it says we really believe that we want the "anyone can grow up to be President" mantra to be real, that we want to see the huddled masses, those same needy, freedom-seeking American-Dreamers get thier shot. And so much more...

I'm getting it. And if President Obama can pull off an under-the-table DREAM ACT and who can manage reelection in the face of well-grounded opponents then maybe he can find a way to stop felonizing pot smokers AND reinforce the strong belief of law AND order by LEGAL Second Amendment advocates.

That pot use and responsible gun carry can be shown the way to reality, President Obama would be the man to do it.

And I would openly call him the greatest American of all time.Far and wide.

Praise and reinforce law-abiding citizens and punish wrongdoers evenly across the board- that's the America i pray for.

If President Obama can be the harbinger of THAT sort of Justice- I'm IN!

"Criticism of him and his mistakes and weaknesses and failures aren't "racism". It's just the truth..."

      1. There are WAY TOO MANY "ands" in your sentence...

      2. These crazy, contrived, GOP claims arose on the campaign trail BEFORE he was even elected. So your excuse holds no water.

The entire "BIRTHER" movement is what happens when a small-minded white person is faced with a black person in a superior position - they must find any means necessary of delegitimizing that authority.

Check out Stephen Colbert's challenge to Trump.... kind of says it all. It's all so ridiculous!

  • delilah123

Does this author and those who are agreeing have amnesia??? GW Bush was the most criticized president I've seen in my lifetime and I'm 50 years old and follow politics closely. The vile hatred toward that man was unconscionable both in the pop culture and the mainstream media. There was even a documentary made about a fictional assassination of him. There was endless talk of how stupid he was when in fact he was an intelligent man. Now imagine if even half the things said about Bush were said about Obama, I can't even imagine the outcry and the talks of racism. Someone here said Bush deserved being called stupid because of the blunders he's made....Did you ever here the tape made by Hannity of all the Obama blunders that makes Bush's seem mild. Oh I know why you wouldn't know of any of these, it's because the MSM doesn't play them around the clock like they did when Bush said them. Let me give you an example, 57 states, Marin Corps with the P pronounced, there are about 100 of these that if Bush said them they were plastered in the media and people openly joked that he was an idiot. Again imagine if this were done about Obama, the cries of racism would be rampant. And the sad truth is those that call this racism are in fact the racist. Why do I say this, because if you think in terms of race about everything where others do not you are the racist. The sad thing is if you've ever seen real racism, it is horrible and disgusting, the problem is with all these false cries of racism you've desensitized people, you've cried wolf so much that when there is real racism it will be that much more difficult to get people's attention.

    • Elisa Velez

      You're an idiot.

When you construct your illegitimate argument around the basis of Bush being an "intelligent" man who was unfairly vilified you & your pov get treated like the worthless RWNJ blather it is.

"Is our children learning?" - George W. Bush

Ha! ^ THAT is only *1* of hundreds of "Bushims"... Learn to work the google & educate yourself; George W. Bush was an ignoramus.

An idiot who took us to an illegal pre-emptive war of choice by lying to Congress w/fabricated intel. Later, Karl Rove "OUTED" CIA operative Valerie Plame because her husband, an intelligence man, dared to speak out & tell the truth about the fabricated intel.

^ THAT IS WHY BUSH WAS VILIFIED.

      For being stupid...
For taking us into an illegal war...
      For lying to Americans...
For undermining our constitutional rights under the 'Patriot Act'...

      And my personal favorite...
For turning a record surplus into a record deficit in record time!

Bush entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in **less than two years** turned every single economic category heading straight down. For the math challenged, that would be BEFORE Democrats controlled the House and the Senate.

And you big-mouthed bagger boobs didn't say *1* PEEP about it.

Where were you baggers when THIS was happening?
      http://progressivenation.us/2009/08/15/teabaggers-you-didnt-get-mad/

^ those are the facts Mr "I follow politics closely" so please explain...

      WHY the LYING?
      WHY the HATING?
      WHY the WHINING?
      WHY the OBSTRUCTING?
      WHY the OBFUSCATING?
WHY are y’all so DING-DANGED DUMB?

Americans are tired of suffering your FOOLISHNESS!

      1) I think you were referring to my comment about Bush. Please reread it and you'll see that I wasn't saying that he "deserved being called stupid". I pretty clearly said that I thought he was intelligent. I was calling the Obama-Harvard comments racist and anticipated that someone would point out the Bush-Yale comments to argue that even white presidents have their academic credentials questioned. I was trying to point out that the basis was completely different. The Bush comments were clearly not racist and were based on his statements and views (yes, I agree that they weren't always fair, but that doesn't take away from them being based on things he said and did and not his skin color).

      2) Obama's "blunders" don't make "Bush's seem mild". I have seen that tape and it was grossly mis-edited. Before you say it, yes, there are many grossly mis-edited videos of Bush too but if you listen to the actual recordings, and not the 1 second before to the 1 second after clips, Obama is much better spoken - you can't deny that even if you completely disagree with his views.

      3) No the "cries of racism" would not be "rampant". That's the whole point of the original article. Many criticisms of Obama are clearly based in racism and we haven't been calling it out. We've been letting it slide and letting disgusting hate-filled racists be a dominant voice, unchecked by reason, out of worry that we would sound like we were playing the race card. And we've done this long enough that we've normalized their views and, essentially, made it okay for them to express them.

      4) How is being racist not "real racism"? You don't have to wear a white hood and lynch someone to be a "real" racist. You just have to be racist ... pretty obvious - not sure why this basic 1st grade level fact escapes you. And how is calling out a person for being racist itself racist? Your logic is the ultimate defense for racism. "Oh, I'm not racist for not wanting a black president. You're racist for calling me racist!" I'm sure your logic let's you sleep at night, but it's stupid ... so, so stupid. Calling out a racist is not racist. It's not crying wolf. It's not desensitizing anyone. It's being an intelligent reasonable human being who can use his/her brain to recognize hate and defend equality for all races because if we don't, we will see (as we have gotten a taste of) that unchecked hate multiplies and degrades out society.

We won't even go into MR. C average while ignorant folx are demanding President Obama college transcripts. Before u start flinging around socio-political terms, u need to OVERSTAND that it's impossible for any person of color to be a racist in this county. Not to mention there are different forms (& levels) of racism--at least 7. the info is free & it's out there--use it before spouting off in ignorance.

    • Carole Parish

I wonder how you would look if someone were out there counting every blunder and mispronunciation you made? When you campaign to be President, it comes with the territory. So please, no more "poor George" remarks. He asked for it, as Obama also has.

  • Bills205

    @AlenaHawaii
I may not agree with all or even most of what the President does, but you should fact check a few of the things you've listed as "evidence" of his illegality as President.

The President's long form BC lists the hospital name as "Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital" the hospitals name since 1931 previously "Kapiolani Maternity Home". The President was born in 1961. The Hospital did not change its name to "Kapiolani Hospital" until 1971.

You lack credibility if you don’t bother to verify so simple a detail.

    • Kristina Anastasiya

YOU lack credibility for not showing US all the proof to back that up...ergo: you are a liar Bill...

  • MikeinPhx

Fear and denial are pathetic to observe in anther person.

  • hardworkingmiddleclassguy

So let me get this straight....if you dare to criticize a black public figure and you are white, that = RACISM. got it.
Go check out the KKK website or Black Panthers....then you will see racism.
There is a very good reason why the the first amendment was FIRST.

    • mhjsessn

You're missing the point. The article isn't saying that you can't criticize Obama. It's objecting to the types of criticisms. If he had the EXACT same views and made the same decisions but was 100% white, no one would question his citizenship or eligibility for presidency and no one would imply he didn't earn his way into Harvard*. The rational among us has been so afraid of "playing the race card", that they let racists get away with absurdity.

*Yes, I know there were comments about Bush and Yale, but it was because he didn't come off as intelligent. Keep in mind, I'm not arguing that Bush didn't deserve his degree. I actually think he's more intelligent that we give him credit for. I'm just saying that his criticism was based off of his actions. Obama doesn't say the oddball things that Bush said.

  • AlenaHawaii

@James and Lois: Seriously? You actually quote SNOPES for the right answers? They have been just as OFF as FOX, MSNBC, CNN, or any of the other ACRONYM news stations when it comes to doing actual research on the subject. I am a licensed Psychologist and have used the DSM-III, IV, and currently the new V almost daily for the past 25 years and you quote SNOPES when I have a hard copy of each on my bookshelf. You obviously haven't taken your face out of your computer for the past five years! Where have I been? I haven't been under a rock, I have been ON a rock, the same rock Obama claims to have been born on. I was born at the same hospital which is listed on his latest version of BC, however, it's too bad that whoever photoshopped messed up so badly on that fraudulent document, because I was born the year after the hospital was built, in 1979. Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children was built in 1978. So why would it be listed on Obama's BC when it didn't even exist in 1961! As far as his social security card goes, they messed up again because anyone and everyone born in Hawaii has a SS# that begins with 575 or 576. Why does his begin with 042? Because this is a small island and his white grandmother worked at the social security office in Honolulu, and knew her grandson needed a social security number or two, or ten so that he could purchase homes, get a driver's license, etc. but still needed to play the Indonesian card for his free education at Occidental, etc. because he was there on full scholarship for being a student born overseas. The poor guy's SS# who Barry is using currently, died in Hawaii in 1975, when Barry happened to need one, for his enrollment in prestigious Punahou school, which cost $15,000 per year back then. Barry never experienced a public school in his life, but instead he enjoyed hanging around with his super-rich, stoned friends at Punahou. He only lived in Hawaii for 4 years, during high school. Does that constitute him saying he was from Hawaii? I never voted for Bush, either one of them. Never voted for McCain either. I had hopes for Obama until I started actually researching his history here in Hawaii and am finding out from his high school friends, people his grandmother worked with, and his mother's friends how much he used our state.
Here is your DSM definition of liberal=mental disorder: i.imgur.com/6mfJo.jpg

“A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity – as liberals do,” he says. “A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population – as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation’s citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state – as liberals do.”

Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:

    creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
    satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
    augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.
“The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind,” he says. “When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious.”

This colleague of mine, Dr. Rossiter, is genius in this definition. Every person who claims to be liberal acts this way! Never met one I truly liked!! Please excuse me, I need to prep for my next patient. Aloha from sunny and warm Hawaii.

    • Lois Beckford

U do realize that the DSM-V won't be released until May 2013...? lol..what a surprise...another right-wing-non-fact-checker. & u do know ur an a$$ to ASSume i'm liberal. stop braying, lying & do some real research for a change. Oh...i've an eclectic collection of over 400 books in addition to over 15 yrs circuit design engineering experience..does that make me better than u now & ur TWO alleged DSMs??? lol

    • StillAstonishedByTheIgnorant

Uh, why have you been relying on the DSM since you were 8? I quote: "I am a licensed Psychologist and have used the DSM-III, IV, and currently the new V almost daily for the past 25 years ... I was born the year after the hospital was built, in 1979."

Can the DSM shed any light on why paranoid, hate-filled people seek out progressive websites and write creepily long rants that assault not only common sense and logic but also the English language?

      • Lois Beckford

LMBOOOOOOOOO...she's been using the DSM since she was 8?? seriously?? she does know that anyone w/access to the internet can use the DSM. I used it for my term paper on manic-depression & bi-polarity. LOL@her spouting off that like it's something really special &

    • Carole Parish

The liberal agenda... are you for real? And a psychologist to boot? Perhaps you should stop pigeon holing people by their political leaning and real listen to what they have to say.And as to your Obama beliefs, sounds like you smoke too much of the Maui......

  • CAMaven

Trump may or may not be racist. I don't particularly like him. But, he has brought up some good points, strongly reinforced by research. As to those who ask if Obama would be treated better if he was not black, I say that he's worshipped more than any President, legal or illegal, since FDR. Bush was treated far worse.

Both Obama and Chester Arthur were illegal Presidents. Why do I say illegal? Because neither had two U.S. citizen parents at time of each child's birth. Argue all you want, but it's settled law. Instead of attacking me, first digest this:
    http://art2superpac.com/issues.html.

The reasons people have subjected Obama to so much scrutiny are attributable to the other anomalies of his background story. Without a doubt, the best, most thorough, accurate, comprehensive treatment of this may be located via theobamatimeline.com.

I was quite skeptical of the whole eligibility thing until I saw a pre-publication manuscript of this and did some corroboration. I was shocked, not so much that someone attempted to steal the Presidency (twice successfully), but that people sacrificed their integrity and patriotism to help him, although most have done it out of ignorance.

The Founders established the eligibility criteria to help ensure that the President's allegiances would be to this country. Those who are really paying attention can appreciate their concerns, which are being validated daily.

    • Carole Parish

Jeez! Give it a rest! He's President, for 2 terms and all your whining can't change a thing. Practically all Americans are from diverse backgrounds, that is what makes America strong and interesting. And this isn't an "attack", just a plea to give it up and devote your time to something more useful!

      • CAMaven

Carole: Getting rid of or neutralizing AKA "Obama" would be very useful. Keep in mind that Richard Nixon and King George III didn't finish their terms in charge of real Americans, so it CAN be done.

If you actually know anything about the law, you would understand where I;m coming from. If you would actually read the link I sent, you would already know why John Jay convinced the founders why this was so important and wouldn't be writing inanities about "diversity," when the real issue is "allegiances."

Don't worry, I have other things to occupy me too. This is just a sideline.

Another thing which motivates me and should motivate you, too, is this alarming, growing list:

Impeachable Offenses (partial listing- tell us more!)

        - BenghaziGate treason and cover-up

        - Interfering in Kenyan politics, in violation of the Logan Act

        - Collecting data on fellow Americans who oppose healthcare reform with flag@whitehouse.gov and now, through a new Obama campaign website, again collecting data on fellow Americans who disagree with the Administration

        - Placing the U.S. Census Bureau under the supervision of the White House Chief of Staff, by law the Department of Commerce.

        - His Justice Department’s smuggling of weapons, that the President signed off on funding for.

        - Manipulating jobs by hiring and rehiring Census workers.

        - Creating false districts and assigning stimulus funds to those districts.

        - Violating tax codes by releasing private tax details to the public when attacking Koch Industries.

        - Creating a taxpayer-funded position, Director of Progressive Media & Online Response, to promote Obama’s incumbent candidacy, in violation of the Hatch Act.

        - Obama’s filming of a campaign ad in the White House in violation of FEC laws.

Go tell this to the thousands killed in Iraq by an illegal war! How many folks in Washington should be facing prosecution/persecution for this "insanity" How many millions is Trump ready to put out for this Holy Crusade?

  • Dev de Silva

The Donald "freak" is nothing but a loud, off-key Trum-pet that needs to be muffled with his own hair-piece.

  • James Beekman

    @AlenaHawaii

Let's read the title of this article carefully: "Insanity" and "Racism" are both in one sentence. I believe that most liberals are both; liberalism is a proven mental disorder in the DSM-IV, and it is such a shame that our own president is racist..."

Please go to a list of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th Edition (DSM-IV), and give us the code the professionals in the Mental Health fields use to give a diagnosis of "liberalism".

You can find a list of all DSM-IV codes here: http://behavenet.com/apa-diagnostic-classification-dsm-iv-tr

You will not find 'Liberalism' listed there....or on any such list.
You have been lied to by Fox News, Rush, and other persons that hate Americans not like themselves.

  • dontbeled

Sure, if you're and idiot and the object of your idiocy is not white then you must be a racist.

  • amyyc

Donald Trump is just greedy and doesn't want to pay his fair share of taxes on all the gobs and gobs of money he makes. Instead he would rather burden the working class American with trying to dig this great country out of debt. He doesn't like President Obama because, the President knows that it's not fair for the richer 2% to only pay on 1% of their income while the rest of us have to pay on 100% of our income.

  • Judy Locario

SIT YOUR OLD ASS DOWN. UPSET WHEN YOU DON'T GET YOUR WAY

  • Al-2012

Lenevoman: You're deflecting and denying, obviously. The issue has nothing to do with Trump's millions. Trump is a buffoon and an attention whore who's more interested in building his brand than anything else. Apparently his strategy includes attempting to extort the President of the United States.

Name a single President that had been subject to the abuse that our current President has been - and the attempts of people to hold him to a higher standard than any of his predecessors.

Which other President has had to put up with constant rumor-mongering that he is somehow unworthy as a man to hold the office of the Presidency - one that every other citizen of the United States is worthy of.

Every previous President has had his policies and results questioned, usually severely. But who else has been subject to rumors about his birth, about his ancestry, about how he got his degree and his place on the Harvard Law Review, that he must be a Muslim (and they all hate America anyway, right?), and so forth?

As far as the birth question goes, he satisfied ALL legal requirements years ago - he satisfied the Federal Election Committee, the FBI, the State of Hawaii, the Illinois Bar Exam, and so forth. The only people he hasn't satisfied are the wing nuts that continue to beat this drum. And many other drums as well.

And when all is said and done, there's nothing to your rumor-mongering. If there was a speck of evidence that any of this garbage was true, there are enough people with enough money who hate this President enough who have been investigating him nonstop since at least 2007, he would have been impeached long ago.

    • CAMaven

I don't think Trump is intending to build his brand with this. it is hurting him more than helping him and he knows it. He is truly concerned about the damage Obama is doing to our nation and is trying to do something about it, although in a hamhanded fashion. For some reason, he is focusing on the birth certificate fraud, which is only one aspect of the colossal scam perpetrated on the American public. You can read the results of the official investigation on it here:
      http://www.scribd.com/doc/114215704/Mike-Zullo-Affidavit-on-Obama-Birth-Certificate-11-9-12

      • Roby Darmanin

The American people must sure be dumb! To be fooled once... twice!! Thank God for genuises like Tramp, Limbo and Fox News - the only sane people in the nation. Thank God they have seen the light to teach us all ignorant folks what their great brain and wisdom have decided what the truth must be. And if proof be needed, they can offer billions so that someone might come out with some shred of evidence and prove them right. It doesn't matter if in the meantme they appear as nutheads. Someday, they hope, they will be proven right. In the meantime us ignorant folks will go on living in this great land in blissful ignorance of their truth, us normal common people, us who once every four years or so can have a say in the running of this country. And have our elected leader show us the way.

        • CAMaven

Yeah, that's about right, but most of the evidence was provided at no charge to the public. Try reading theobamatimeline.com. Verrrrry interesting and very well-researched.

          • Roby Darmanin

What worry me are trumped up charges. Otherwise I sleep well. Nothing on my conscience.

      • Carole Parish

The only damage Trump is concerned about is the potential to deflate his own pocketbook. Anyone who goes through wives like he does doesn't know the meaning of the word "loyalty".

  • lenevoman22

LOL! I LOVE the way Trump gets under the thin skin of liberals. You wouldn't be a little jealous of him and his millions would you lizzy girl? What's funny is that you probably think that you are the first one who has called him racist! He couldn't care less, little girl. Maybe, you should be calling your BFF Al Sharpton a racist. You know that WHITE girl in London who got sucker punched in the face by that black thug? Sharpton has nothing to say about that does he? People around the world are calling it the worst attack on a woman they have ever seen. Close your eyes little girl and pretend THAT never happened...HYPOCRITE!

    • Lois Beckford

actually leneovman22 it's impossible for anyone of color in america to be a racist. prejudiced...yes. racist...no. the terms are NOT synonymous. ur ignorance & wishful thinking is showing. educate urself 1st before using terms u clearly don't overstand. The fact that u & others believe it's jealous only reveals ur overzealous ignorance. & let's not go tit for tat on white on black crimes vs. black on white crimes, especially w/someone like me. u'll lose every single time. i promise u that i'll further reveal ur lack of knowledge on that topic historically as well as currently & globally.

      • StillAstonishedByTheIgnorant

Lois B., thank you for a well-reasoned and temperate reply; I'm shaking my head (disgust, bewilderment) so vigorously that I can hardly type. How can 21st-century humans, with the weight of history behind them and the wealth of libraries at their disposal, have made virtually no progress?

In 1992, a columnist I know wrote about the pleasure and enrichment of friendship, in particular her recent bringing-together of four kindred spirits, all women; her editor objected because he equated celebrating women with bashing men, and to "prove" that his objection was grounded, he subbed "black" and "white" for every reference to "men" and "women." But he -- bright, well-intentioned, on the surface an evolved-ish kind of man -- subbed "white" (power group) for "women" (disenfranchised group).

By and large, those who haven't been part of an institutionally disenfranchised group Do Not Get It. As a white girl, I'm horrified by the number of white people who fall into that category -- and tired of their making "white" synonymous with "clueless/conscienceless" through their buffoonery and insulting screeds. People of color, please know that some white people are not assholes. The red states would lead you to believe otherwise, I know, but please take my word for it.

Meanwhile, if ALL of us would direct our rage at corporations, where it belongs, how different life in these United States would be. The whole "Rich parasites' divide-and-conquer strategy still works!" thing is getting pretty stale.

        • Lois Beckford

it's getting very old very fast. not to mention it's completely disgusting. all of this is simply deflection from more serious issues. LOL...I do know many white folx who are quite enlightened & would never be considered assholes...but i catch ur drift.

  • Gero Clinton

Racism, prejudice, et al, is a personality disorder and is presented in many ways, not just by using the N-Word. These GOP trolls are suffering from a brain disorder. They can call it what they like, but this article explains it all. Racism is also a learned response to fear; flight or flight. When these scared racists thnk they are fighting, they are in reality, fleeing! Very right on Liz Dwyer. Signed, a 56 year old white male that is supposed to be a GOP troll, but is educated and healthy. Thank you Liz!

  • Cashun

See, the thing is men like Trump, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, and Mitt is that they fear black men. Alot of men like them always have and always will. They were taught that they were supposed to be better than him. Have more than him. Look better than him. Accomplish more than him....etc. But they are facing the realities of generations of lies and stereotypes fed to them and now they can't accept that what they thought would always be is no more. See no one believes a whiteman is superior anymore. Men like I mentioned earlier want to go back to a time when the whiteman was feared. Thats really what they're saying because they know deep down without the benefit of being white, alot of these men would not be where they are today. Do any of you really think Mitt would have made it in Barack's shoes if he was dealt that hand in life. Barack has already proved and discredited the racists, bigots, and outright liars just by becoming POTUS. People like these men are scared. They know they are being exposed on a daily basis whether through the media, work, school, and don't get me started on athletics, etc, etc.....Whitemen have to come to the reality and face the fact that you can't hide behind your skin color anymore. You still enjoy alot of privleges because your white but just not as many. Its time whitemen man'ed up and show us what you got. The world no longer thinks of you as the almighty god you think you are............

  • Kathleen Tandy

    Great article!

Trump is a DESPICABLE RACIST. The worst kind. The kind of racist that will never outwardly offend the person they dislike, but the kind that will go out and behind your back, set out to destroy what you have --- and prevent anyone else from having anything else either.

I think what bothers Trump most is that our President has a BETTER EDUCATION THAN HE HAS. Trump went to a business college, while Mr. Obama did his undergrad at Columbia and got his Law Degree at Harvard, where he taught Constitutional Law.

Like most IDIOT RACISTS Trump will sit there and try to downgrade this achievement by the President, a brilliant man.

Trump is a disgrace. The man cannot keep his mouth shut to save his life. Stick to your dumb reality show and your beauty pageants.

That and changing wives through your adultery are all Donald Trump is good for.

  • judy9

On the long form birth certificate, it says Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecology Hospital, which was the name of the hospital from 1931 to 1971, Ms. AlenaHawaii.

  • AlenaHawaii

Let's read the title of this article carefully: "Insanity" and "Racism" are both in one sentence. I believe that most liberals are both; liberalism is a proven mental disorder in the DSM-IV, and it is such a shame that our own president is racist. He refuses to acknowledge his caucasian ancestry, although he is just as much white as black. He plays the racist card so many times it is sickening. Trump's offer is genius. Let's see if our president cares so much about the nonprofit agencies which he claims to support, he will have no problem putting his history on the table for all to see. If he is the upstanding man our country elected to lead us, he will do this for anyone who asks. The problem is that I don't have enough faith in him to actually follow through. He has too much at stake and cares much more about himself and his hidden past than anything else. Being born and raised in Hawaii myself, I know for a fact that the hospital he claims he was born at didn't exist in 1961. I was born at the facility that DID exist, and it wasn't called Kapiolani Medical Center, as listed on the new 'long form' most recently released. Whoever photoshopped this document definitely didn't do their homework or a good job.

AlenaHawaii, do u ever do any fact checking before letting ur fingers & mind run wild?? If u honestly believe his BC was faked after experts have debunked this foolish rumor born of RACISM...ur still sipping the kool-aid. As a man w/African ancestry, this COUNTRY as designated him BLACK while he clearly acknowledges he was raised by his WHITE mother & WHITE grandmother (what rock have u been living under?). therefore, since he's designated as BLACK, it's impossible for him to be a racist in america. prejudiced but not racist. do urself a favor-learn & overstand terms ur flinging abt. LOL@President Obama flinging race card when it's ignorant white folx making his race the issue!! IRONY!!! LOL@u not doing ur own homework. #pathetic

      • CAMaven

When you do actual "fact checking," SNOPES is one of the least reliable places to visit.

Try looking at actual evidence, for example:

        http://www.scribd.com/doc/114215704/Mike-Zullo-Affidavit-on-Obama-Birth-Certificate-11-9-12

        http://www.scribd.com/doc/56433457/News-Release-Expanded-Analysis-of-Obama%E2%80%99s-Certificate-of-Live-Birth-May-22-2011

Of course, those in denial will blot it out, but perhaps some of you will read and understand this and maybe start wondering why the media and political parties have been lying to you.

Don't forget to check theobamatimeline.com, which is actual research, not some crap done by a trailer trash couple from LA (SNOPES).

        • Lois Beckford

N I know u've never heard of John Woodman. he shared several YouTube videos breaking it down, even inviting others to view it to see if he's missed anything that would change his conclusion that the document was not forged. that's what *I* use for evidence--someone who painstakingly goes over every inch of the document for forgery--not documents. SNOPES has rarely been wrong in debunking myths due to their use of FACTUAL citation to support their claims (including using several of his vids) as proof.

          • CAMaven

You know nothing of the sort. Yes, I've viewed Woodman's nonsense, which doesn't hold a candle to Doug Vogt, Paul Irey, Mara Zebest,The Maricopa Cold Case Posse, and others, any one of which can run rings around Woodman.

Barack Obama graduated FIRST in his class at Harvard Law School WHILE at the SAME time working several hours per week as President of the prestigious HARVARD LAW REVIEW! Thus proving that he DESERVED to be at Harvard -- unlike some people we could name like: George <>, W.<< cough, cough>> Bush

    • CAMaven

FIRST! Really?? What proof do you have of that? Also, what did he PUBLISH as Editor of the Harvard Law Review? We breathlessly await your findings.

Bush actually graduated from both Harvard and Yale and has numerous witnesses to prove it.

  • Michael Troy

Trump was not born in the United States. He is really a citizen of British Empire. You see when his mother was pregnant, his father took her to the Bahamas with his corporate. She gave birth at a private hospital. The lawyer was present to make him the only living hedge fund. He not only is a human being, but a corporate entity. He is a walking and talking hedge fund. He has the ability of being a knight, but the queen didn't want to give knighthood to a living hedge fund, especially since he refused to manage her assets.

  • bkjones

I am so sick of this racist thing. Trump is not racist. He may be conceited, arrogant etc. etc, but he is not racist. I really do wish that blacks would stop blaming everything on racism. Whites have no reason to fear this anymore. We have a white/black president, isn't that enough? If it were not for the whites, this president, who is of questionable character to begin with, would not have been voted in again. Accept responsibility for your "own" actions and stop leaning on the racist issue as it makes you look very, very weak. obama needs to accept that his first term was unacceptable and to open up his records and show us he has nothing to hide. The only time people hide things is when they have something they would rather not have people see, and I believe that obama is hiding something. Leave Trump alone. Ask this president to be transparent, as he stated he would be, which I might add, never did happen. There is something wrong with this president and blaming Trump is "really" racist, so stop acting stupid and fess-up and clean-up your own mistakes and stop blaming someone else for your own failings!

    • StillAstonishedByTheIgnorant

I am so sick of this ignorance thing. bkjones [the "writer" above] is not a sentient being. He may be conceited, arrogant etc. etc, but he is not a sentient being. I really do wish that rageful whites would stop belittling people who make valid observations about the still-rampant racism in our world. Whites have no reason to fear the changing demographics -- we still incarcerate 25% of all black men in this country, isn't that enough? If it were not for the bkjones of the world, this president -- who, intellectually and morally, is about as great as they come -- would have been voted in with an 80% (or greater) majority. bkjones, accept responsibility for your "own" inadequately exercised brain and your cramped cramped heart, and stop using the racist issue to attack others, as it makes you look very, very weak. obama-haters need to accept that his first term was uniquely hampered by an obstructionist GOP House (just check the nonpartisan Congressional Record for specifics on legislative action/inaction in the past two years) and need to accept that they must learn how to read/reason. The only time people hide behind ignorance is when they have something they would rather not face, and I believe that obama-haters are aware, at some level, that their potent self-hatred is the source of their other-directed vitriol. Don't leave vitriol-spewers like Trump alone. See this president as the tonic that a sick, sick nation needs. There is something so *right* about this forward-thinking president, and I'm eager to see what his 2nd term brings. blaming Trump is "really" a good start; next step is to urge him to stop acting stupid and fess-up and clean-up his own mistakes and stop pretending that bashing our glorious president can somehow elevate the miserable failing named Trump.

When "Obama" releases his records and shows any valid, legal proof of his eligibility, I may start taking him seriously, Until then, all the "proof" that exists is B.S. and some proven forged documents.

By his own admission, he's ineligible, since he admits to foreign father.

        • Lois Beckford

I dare u to cite where he clearly stated he was ineligible. PRESIDENT OBAMA already release his BC that have been authenticated by experts (do ur own research if u dare---& i know u won't because u fear being wrong). conspiracy theorists love to be manipulated by fear. it's easy to do, u know.

          • CAMaven

It appears that I've done a heck of a lot more research than you, based on your own statements in this thread. If you think that a left wing web site run by atrailer trash couplle in LA is an authority on anything, think again.

If you're such an expert, then you would know that a digital file is not valid, legal proof of anything, even if it was an accurate representation of an actual certified, hard copy, long form birth certificate, which it is not.

That being said, the whitehouse.gov "birth certificate" image, is an obvious, really bad forgery. Did you know that they have altered it twice since they put it up on 4-27-12? I was one of the first in the country to be published, saying it was a fraud. Since then, people with far more expertise than I have demolished th crude forgery.

Lois, please save yourself some embarrassment and examine the sources I gave you. You are not getting the whoie story. I put far more credibility, for example, in a six month investigation by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Dept than I do with any yahoo from "SNOPES."

There is also the matter of the forged Selective Service registration, illegal use of multiple Social Security numbers (Daniels, Sankey, et al), the literary biography, deposition by Ayers' postman and of course, "Obama's" own book, dedicated to his alien father.

            Read theobamatimeline.com, too.

I started out where you were years ago and was first alerted by Don Fredrick. When I started digging in, I was really shocked. You would be, too, if you'd only give it a fair investigation.

Trump is not only racist but a despicable human being. He has shown total disrespect for a sitting president and continues making these rediculous claims. He was actually considering running for the president, who would vote for a man who ran companies into the ground and give him the reigns for a country. He is catering to the Tea Party who is a gentler version of the KKK. However, the American people are much smarter than the GOP and the Tea Party gives them credit for and they showed it on Election Day. On Election Day, Americans showed that they still have the power to make their own decisions and cannot brainwashed by a few political strategists.

    • Tomohawk

If you're sick of the (racist thing), then you should leave the USA quick, fast & in a hurry, because RACISTS LIKE YOURSELF, are on every street corner...hahahaha

  • dnmjr@mac.com

Trump has never and will never again ask for birth details or transcripts of a candidate.

And why didn't he ask Romney to produce anything?

  • Gonzo411

Ms. Dwyer, I don't see that you proved your point at all. No doubt Trump is an idiotic, boarish, oaf. And while his motives may in fact be racist, the examples you put forth lack any obvious racist element. Equally caustic and insulting epithets were constantly leveled at George W. Bush, often by yours truly, but they were never accused of being racist. Of course I believe that in Bush's case, questioning his intelligence and his motivation was legitimate while in Obama's case it seems ridiculous, at least with respect to his intelligence. Nevertheless, a white business man turned politician questioning Obama's legitimacy is no more racist than a black business man turned politician, such as Herman Cain, questioning Mitt Romney's, as he did in the GOP primaries. Sometimes people are simply jerks, without being racist jerks.

    • Arlene Tanham

Much of your article Gonzo411, I agree with. However, since you accepted the intelligence of obama because he was president of the Harvard Law Review I question that. First of all in the year that he became president the rules were changed by the school. It was always 100% academic. It was changed to 50% academic and 50% social. In addition, and most important was that he was in organizations that had connections with Saudi Arabia. The year that obama became head of the Harvard Law Review, Saudi Arabia DONATED 20 MILLION DOLLARS to the Harvard School of Law.
As a college graduate I am so proud to show my grades when asked to do so. WHAT IS WRONG WITH A PERSON THAT REFUSES TO SHOW HIS FELLOW AMERICANS his grades? Anxiously awaiting your answer and any proof of grades that you can come up with. Sooner or later the TRUTH will come out.
      Can you expedite the answers??

      • CAMaven

Still looking for "Obama's" publications while he was
"Harvard Law Review Editor." Anyone seen them? You would think that they would be proudly displayed, right?

      • Deborah Singer-Frankes

The Harvard Law Review admissions process has never had a social component. From their own web site:
"Membership in the Harvard Law Review is limited to second- and third-year law students who are selected on the basis of their performance on an annual writing competition."

      • Gonzo411

I didn't actually say why I accept the intelligence of President Obama. Furthermore, I made no reference to the Harvard Law Review. Thus the rest of your response becomes moot.

        • CAMaven

He seems to be intelligent. The issues are his eligibility, qualifications and allegiances. All of those are in more in question than ever.

        • Arlene Tanham

I am questioning his intelligence in as much as you referred to the questionable intelligence of Bush but no reason to question the intelligence of obama.

          • Deborah Singer-Frankes

You're right, who can forget such gems as: ) "Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." —Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sept. 6, 2004. A serious question remains as to whether Obama can match W in brain power. Don't misunderestimate W.

            • CAMaven

I still remember that discussion about Kerry vs Bush, too. Turned out that Bush had better college grades, not that it proves superior intelligence.

          • Gonzo411

Arlene, you have that right, but I don't feel compelled to defend something that I feel is pathologically obvious.

  • Stephen Musclow

Racism will never go away until people stop using black/white/latin/asian,etc. against people. Blacks have every opportunity whites have, no segregation, etc. but they refuse to put the ugly past behind them, and the racism continues. I'm not racist, I'm just "calling it what it is."
What many, including me, are sick to death about, being called racist for disagreeing with Obama. The reason so many want his college records unsealed is because he hides it so fiercely. Nobody does that unless they're hiding something a lot worse than a bad grade.

    • Arlene Tanham

      Stephen,
How very well expressed! I, also, am disgusted with the name
calling and the SPINNING. You and I know the real meaning of the
word but politically speaking it is called SPINNING. When will America get back to telling the truth to its people? Unless someone
buys out George Sorros's share of the media we will continue to be
a country of mushrooms buried in ____.

    • dnmjr@mac.com

Anyone who is blind to the racism in our society is 1. wittingly or unwittingly racist OR 2. Just a beneficiary of systemic racism and don't want to give up white privilege.

I know it makes you mad but it's true.

      • Arlene Tanham

When I was a little girl I also blamed the white man for being prejudice. As an adult, I have been exposed to the extreme racial prejudices against white people by people of color.

      • Stephen Musclow

I'm not blind to racism, I know it's dividing the country. My point was there is no need for racism, we're all Americans.

        What white perks??

  • GetItRight

What's racist is slandering anyone who dares to criticize a black person in any way. I recall a lot of name-calling and outlandish claims about George W. Bush (e.g., saying he was the mastermind behind 9-11). Funny how no one ever said "It's because he's white!" Grow up, people.

  • Comixchick

Calling a racist a racist is a surefire way to get his racist defenders out from under their rocks to defend his choice to be a racist. Boards below will bear this out.

  • mr dude

I am sure that if Hitler were Black the Liberals would call his detractors "racists".

Why can't anyone disagree with another person? At what point does race become an issue?? The answer is: The most racist people will play the race card. And those people are most usually Black.

    • CAMaven

White Liberals are the worst with this.

    • ALEXANDER56

MR DUDE? I GUESS YOU CAN NOT READ AND WRITE AND DONT KNOW TOO MUCH?????TO MUCH DRUGS AND BOOZE??

    • Comixchick

BTW, if Hitler were black, he wouldn't have been given the Sudetenland, and the US would have joined the war in 1937. Nice try on the spurious logic, tho.

    • Comixchick

Disagree? Did you even READ... oh, sorry, forgot to whom I was speaking. And your last sentence put the lie to your entire statement. Not that you'd know, since the only minorities you probably know are the ones you flip off on the freeway.

  • Janette Nolan

The question is why he wants to see the transcripts! They(birthers) want to prove not that he had bad grades but that he used the name "Berry" on his transcripts which was how he identified himself while his Mom was married to his step-father. It is just another stall to keep Obama focused away from more important things. Get on with your lives...there really is NO more to see!!!

    • CAMaven

Actually, more than that. We would like to see if he applied for or was qualified for certain grants/scholarships and how his education was financed. There are major questions about that.. We would like to see what his legal and assumed names were at various times.

You see, it is a felony to practice law, hold office, or receive government money while not using your LEGAL name. There is a possibility that he retired his law license in 1993 for that reason (ref: theobamatimline.com).

We should have far more access to the backgrounds of high officials. Believe me, when I hired key people, I got all the info I could! Lord Christopher Monckton told us that birth certificates are a matter of public record in Britain.

By the way, we vetted quite a few candidates and found 5 or 6 ineligible ones.

  • collhic

And this makes Donald Trump racist how??? Racism, unfortunately, has become a garbage pail response for any disagreement. If Obama can rail about publicizing tax returns then Trump can blather about college grade records. There's no racism there...what's racist is the interpretation that it's racist.

Can't ask a black man about his grades...is actually a very racist stance.

Sad that people can't see that being equally accountable actually means that racism is on the decline. Can't have your cake & eat it too...

    • Comixchick

"Can't ask a black man about his grades...UNLESS YOU ASK A WHITE MAN ABOUT HIS, TOO, is actually a very racist stance."

      Fixed that for ya.

      • Larz Blackman

You did nothing of the sort. You've only twisted the words of someone who speaks and thinks clearly and logically -- qualities which you are lacking. I'm not writing to insult you, but I am writing to call you out on the disservice you do by muddling dialogue with meaningless responses.

  • Joe Golden

Here is a promotional booklet http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthers/booklet.asp . It's a bio of Barack Obama, written by Miriam Goderich. She claims it was a fact checking error by her. Well I have had bio's written on me and both times they asked where I was born. Also after the bio was completed they had me review it prior to being published. And after being published I checked it out to see how it looked in print. Obama just let it be published..HAHA..why? Because he obviously had seen in the past where saying you were born in Kenya presented advantages. It did for him at Occidental and Columbia. Barack is very into himself and his image...you cannot convince me he never saw this original booklet saying he was born in Kenya...HE APPROVED IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. He's an opportunist I'll give him that...I only hope as President he is able to provide the truth.

    • CAMaven

Amen, Mr. Golden. Barry's bio was used for 13 years, through multiple revisions and a change of companies. Other things were changed, but the born in Kenya part never did. The Libs are in denial. After all these questions, the fact that they don't just open the vaults and show the goods makes them look guilty as hell. The fact that he forged his birth certificate, Selective Service registration and committed Social Security fraud proves it,

  • Larz Blackman

You people who see racism everywhere are hurting the cause. For starters, most of you can't even define "racism." At best, you use it in place of "prejudiced" -- worse than that, you use it to describe any remarks pertaining to racial discussion -- worst of all, you use to describe criticism against a non-white person regardless of the legitimacy of that criticism.

And that final and greatest misuse is where this piece falls.

    • Comixchick

"You people..." oops, you outed yourself right at the beginning, didn't you?

      • Larz Blackman

No, but you did stop thinking right at the beginning of my post. Who am I -- Ross Perot speaking before the NAACP? Stop looking for "code words" and engage in meaningful dialogue for a change.

  • William Jones

Share your thoughts or insights…Racist rants regarding racism reduce the world to even more retardly challenged rants regarding racism. What is a racist dessert? Well, just ask a pretentious person of color what is cheesecake. What is a racist sports car? Well, just ask a pretentious person of color what they think about a Lamborghini. Why does four reduce to racism? Well, just ask a person of color what is the square root of four?
Indeed, there is something worse than being foolish, stupid, and an idiot.

Don't you hate when those stupid white people are racist, Phyllis? You've convinced me that the Germans are inherently flawed.

  • Ahmadreza Baharloo

KKK in disguise. The bastard racist doesnt give up, because a noble person like our president can not dignify him by answering these shameful remarks. But we should let this dirty racist have it!

  • Bonifacio

Racism is accepted by everyone in the beltway. On Erin Burnett's show the two Steve's felt very comfortable using the term "Mexican Stand Off". It passed without a word from the host. These terms are outdated. With the sophistication of vocabulary these three have, no doubt they could have used another term. It's OK to say these things in our capital, moreover their NFL team was named by an outright racist and there is no more conversation about that. They only want your vote every two years but your money every day. We need a third party and with the Republicans waning I can only hope. I can also expect to hear nothing from Burnett or CNN on this. If it was a comment on Jews or black Americans I doubt Erin would have moved the conversation along so calmly. Hymie Town was called out, Indian Giver was called out but this is legitimate conversation on CNN today

  • maxart111

If he wants to see Obama's college records than we should also see Mitt Romney's
college records, that way they won't be racist. There is too much political correctness.

  • Damcool

And sometimes people are just downright racist..Let us not act like racism doesn't exist in these united states that we live in. Not everybody, but there are indeed some who disagree PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA because of the color of his skin, maybe that's Trump's deal, maybe not..who knows? who really even cares? but the fact of the matter is this: RACISM IS VERY REAL

  • Damcool

Okay, truth be told Donald Trump is just an IDIOT! I've read these posts and here is what I have to say about the whole Romney,Obama, racist issues. The truth of the matter is, as American people none of us will ever be happy with the American President. For years we have griped and complained about this or that. If you feel so passionately about the president and what he is or is not doing, then do us all a favor and get a career in politics and make some changes, better yet RUN FOR PRESIDENT yourself. With that being said Barack Obama is the president of the United States, college records or not, he is the president and he won the election for a REAL REASON, and there is not a thing anyone writing these posts can do about it. Now let's just roll with it. He's not going to be perfect or do everything right as have none of the presidents done. Complaining and asking questions is not going to change anything. Let's just do our best with who we have and right now the commander in cheif is BARACK OBAMA. period point blank

    • Phyllis Phillips

I think he did try that, He was on the shot of the line of Rep.

  • Harry Flashman

The one question that does remain is this: why won't the President release those college records?

When Kerry ran for President he released his. As did Al Gore. As did Bush. We knew all about Clinton's college records and history (his: "I didn't inhale" came from that history). Yet, Obama refuses to let his be released. Why?

What is he hiding? Bad grades? Who cares - Kerry's and Gore's and Bush's grades were not all that great. Did he lie on his admissions' applications? I don't think anyone would care. Did he state (lie) he was born overseas so as to receive a scholarship? Again, who cares. The guy was young. Young people do a lot of things that seem stupid or embarrassing later. Who cares?

George Bush was quite the party boy in college it seems. Some noise was made about it, but in the end, no one really cared. Same with Bill Clinton..

So, what is Obama hiding? It is curious, isn't it?

Why is he being given a pass on this?

  • dreamer321

I thought this was supposed to be a discussion about Trump and his supposed racist comments, not about Obama's policies or Romney or Democrats or Republicans. Too many people are using this forum to vent their hate for each other. I disagree that Trump is racist. He is a self-promoting egotist (as I said in my earlier post). Everything he says and does is designed to boost his ego. And he will say anything regardless of how outrageous it is, or how true it is or not. He doesn't necessarily believe anything he says. He doesn't care about Obama. He doesn't care about birthers, Tea Partiers, Republicans, Democrats or politics. He only uses them for his own self interest. To him, bad publicity is better than no publicity. The best anyone of us can do is to ignore him.

    • Tanya Redfield

I agree... Trump is not racist, but is an egotist. I am tired of everyone who doesn't agree with Obama being called racist. The bit about Trump not challenging any of the other 43 presidents is laughable.... how does this prove racism? There are many black people I would have been thrilled to see as POTUS. Obama is not on that list. This doesn't make me racist, it makes me against Obama's policies. As for the whole birth certificate issue...I had to get a certified birth certificate for my son to play VFW baseball...I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the same for someone running for POTUS, BEFORE they are put on the ballot! Same with college transcripts...we all have to show them for our jobs...why is Obama exempt? These are legitimate questions. And I'm tired of being accused of racism. Articles like this one just fuel the racism fire, they don't do any "good" in bringing us all together.

      • CAMaven

They should all have to show their papers if they want high offices. We are the employers for the most important job in the world. Did you know that there is absolutely NO legal vetting requirement for federal elected officers? This is described in Obama Never Vetted:The Unlawful President, by Capt. Pamela Barnett, Retired Battalion Army Intelligence Officer.

      • maxart111

        You are on the money.

      • Herb Smith

When there appears to be no rational explanation for what is said, or for the contemptuous attitude expressed toward a black person, it seems like racism even though racism can't be proved. You evidently chose to have have doubts about Obama's birth and transcript in spite of an utter lack of proof. Now that Obama has shown his birth certificate (the very first President ever to have to do that), are you ready now to disregard those rightwing idiots who fueled your doubts without any proof?? Your "legitimate questions" are not reasonable. Many reliable news sources such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal had thoroughly explored the issue and found no credible evidence for believing birtherism, so you were played for a fool by right wing media. Did Romney show his birth certificate? No, and he shouldn't have to. As for his college transcripts, NO candidate for President has ever released that information, but you're ready to make a special rule for Obama. You say: "we all have to show them for our jobs", but that is simply not true of upper level jobs anywhere - - not in the public sector and not in the private sector. You seem to be making special "legitimate questions" just for this President, so what's your excuse for it? Are you an egotist too?

        • Harry Flashman

Bush's college records were known, as were Kerry's, as were Gore's. So was Clinton's college history known.

Obama refuses to release his. Why? What does he have to hide? It is curious, isn't it?

          • syndi

Perhaps Obama is waiting on Mitt to release his tax returns. Strange how there's little to no outcry about that. Racist? Naw...

          • Pemaquid

What is it that you need to know? Isn't it enough that Barack Obama was president of the Harvard Law Review? Do you know what it takes to earn that position? There are at least three rounds of writing and editing that must be won. And then two different peer elections must be won. Our President is a PROFESSOR OF LAW! Academically, he far outshines any of the predecessors you mention. Have you read his two books? These were written BEFORE he became our President. Again, they are superior to what his living predecessors have produced. Why did we not hold the same standard used for Bill Clinton regarding drug use for GW Bush? Hell, the man was DUI on COCAINE! He was a C-average student at Yale. You begin comparing these men and Obama achieved far above. So what MORE do you need to know? Give it a rest already! Sheesh!

            • CAMaven

              1. What did Obama publish while "President of Harvard Law Review?" NOTHING. That may make him unique in the annals of HLR?

              2. It has been proven that he was never a "Professor" of anything. What he was: a poorly regarded (by faculty) part time guest instructor, for a very limited scope of curriculum. It obviously left out Article II Section 1.

              3. Obama was an admitted coke head with a very questionable "social life." His nickname in Chi-town was "Bath House Barry." Look up "down low club, "Man's Country Club Chicago," Larry Sinclair, Larry Bland, Nathan Spencer.

Bush's grades were better than Kerry's - proven fact. You have nothing to prove "Obama"/Soetoro's.

            • collhic

Actually, Romney obtained a simultaneous Law AND Business Masters Degree from Harvard....only a select few are allowed to pursue such a challenging feat.

As for drug use, Obama clearly states in his autobiography (at the tender age of 34), that he dabbled, in his younger years, on the edge of precipice...with drug use.

So, tell me again how is this president superior to his predescessors or competitors??

  • jackie15

Right after Barack Obama took the oath of office as President of the United States, Chris Wallace, of Fox News....started to question the legitimacy of Obama being President. He was ranting because Roberts made a mistake while administering the Oath of Office. Because of his outrage...the controversy continued....and led to Obama taking the Oath of Office again. I am confident, if Barack Obama had been a white man, no controversy would have ensued. It is sad!

    • CAMaven

What nonsense. Roberts obviously flubbed the oath. He should have repeated it on the spot. Many people thought it wise to repeat it later, just to avoid criticism.

  • FU1976

Honestly why should anyone care? Fact is at least one of Obama's parents was American and that makes him American. Also he IS NOT the first BLACK president... he's the first milkshake (Mixed-black/white) President we've ever had in office. Additionally Obama acts more "white" than he does "black" which basically means he isn't all ebonics and actually has a sufficient education; the guy was a senator for god sake. Do I feel he is qualified for the job? No... but thats because he has no military experience and therefore cannot make a sound decision when it comes to our troops and how they feel/ what they need when they are out supposedly defending our national security; supposedly means: we like to play world police and mess around with other nations for the sheer enjoyment of creating jobs for the working class. I'm not saying Romney would be much better than Obama either. Romney wants to revert this country back to the days of Norman Rockwell... Great for those of you who can't take the ever-changing hostile political atmosphere our former President Bush Jr. caused however life doesn't work that way.

Side Note: this is a blog so NO I'm not exactly grammatically correct however you all can read and my points are clearly stated.

RE: Trump - getting advice from this guy is equivalent to getting marriage counseling from the pope. He thinks he is high and mighty and granted he does have stature and celebrity to back his big mouth; thank our media for that. Trump is like a living breathing paradox; nothing he owns is his... in retrospect its all bought with borrowed money - remember his collapse where he sold his assets... yeah... he's intelligent (and if you couldn't sense the sarcasm in that then you should run for president next).

Seems we have a habit of electing stupid people into office which is why I chose NOT to vote this year. A vote for Romney or Obama is a choice between suicide with a gun or a grenade; either we give the federal government too much power and allow them to dictate that we MUST have health insurance (even though most of us can't afford it) or we go back to the days of Norman Rockwell where women have to regroup to fight for their rights all over again!

On a personal note: both Romney and Obama seem like nice guys that I'd have over for a BBQ but I just dont think I want them representing me (as an American) to the rest of the world.

You completely showed what our problem is in America by saying he acts more white than black. It shows your ignorance...how does one act black?? Let me ask you a question? When was the last time a person of color tried to hurt you, or take your job away from you? Most likely never. The fact is that most violence in our communities stay in our communities. Unless you have been in these communities then you most likely don't even run into "black folks". Much of Obama's background is still an enigma 4 years after his election. 10 grand will get you a birth certificate better than Obama's first or second birth certificates. SOME FACTS ARE IRREFUTABLE ABOUT OBAMA. He was a friend and associate of Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dorn. He sat under the hateful racist rantings of one Reverend Wright for 20 years, but he didn't inhale. Saying you are a racist because you are horrified by someone's policies is sophomoric baloney. Obama has NO ACHIEVEMENTS. Had no achievements prior to election. Obama has clearly demonstrated what happens when he has no teleprompter. He utters hateful ignorance like the comment "voting is the best revenge" or pathetic remarks like,
"You didn't build that". Under any circumstance, he now has a second chance to prove his ability--or utter ineptitude.

This is just not right - calling people names (and I'm sure you do't even know him or his heart) including racist is not only immature but tells more about you than the person you are calling names - and quiet frankly many people are sick if it! That is just your opinion - and you might want to look at your own heart! I had a client tell me and the whole treatment team that he hated white people because he was taught by his parents that white people are the devil - now he is in prison for life for murder - he is so angry and now regretful that he was taught that way. He also now says that he can see that wasn't true, after being exposed to white people. Would you like to talk about that? This inmate is not the first black person to tell me that, only a brief example. Donald Trump might be getting goofy and I surly don't agree with what he is doing or saying however I am not presumptive enough to say that I know why he is acting like this. I have no idea (the only intelligent thing to say since I don't know him) but I "doubt" he is a racist for God's sake - Your playing of the race card does not make you sound intelligent at all but perhaps is telling us what is in your heart. My grandma used to say that a sunk smells it's own hole first - hmmm....and when you point a finger at someone you have three pointing back at you - Jesus told us to judge not lest we be judge - you might want to keep that in mind. I"m sorry - this is just not right - and to put this in print to me is libelous- you are attempting to ruin his professional reputation - what does that make you? This is no different than the witch hunts they used to have - being called a witch was dangerous and now being called a racist is equally dangerous - I have no respect for this type of tactic. Can you not say anything intelligent?

  • Nancy Ellis

I find it interesting that the right does not question oil subsidies, farm subsidies to giant businesses that do not need them, but obsess over helping the poor.

    • prospector

REALLY? The stats are clear--conservatives give 30 percent more than liberals--even though liberals earn more. Liberals are just happy about GIVING MONEY THAT BELONGS TO OTHER PEOPLE. Do your homework.

  • pipblack

So...both Trump and Obama are idiots. Am I racist towards both of them? Confusion sets in when you call out a person for disagreeing with their decisions, policy, moral compass and the only response is you are racist? So all the people that did not think Romney did not show enough tax data; are they racist? When do those calling false racism get called racist or bullies?

    • Denise Treesh

Wouldn't we all like to know - this must stop as well -Unless you have proof - you should not be spewing out garbage - that is what is hateful - presenting something as a fact when it is an unknown - you need to try to say something intelligent - FACT BASED not write a piece full of unfounded accusations - and get paid for it??? Give me a break! Take a research class and find out how to present fact based information - this surely wasn't anything but "slander" It sure isn't displaying God's love either - get the beam out of your own eye! I teach my clients the difference between fact and opinion and this has not factual evidence what so ever - no different than the bull the Repubs try to get us to buy into - I follow no one who is not smart enough to present me with the facts!

    • Truth&Reality

Why didn't Donald Trump offer to pay $5 M for former governor Romney to submit all of his taxes to the American public instead of one year's worth. We will all have to reap what we sew especially on innocence people that we are to protect.

      • CAMaven

Well, "Truth," actually Romney showed at least two years:

        http://www.mercurynews.com/presidentelect/ci_21606152/under-pressure-romney-offers-more-tax-datahttp://www.mercurynews.com/presidentelect/ci_21606152/under-pressure-romney-offers-more-tax-data

In suspect that he didn't show morte, becaus eeven though he probably followed the law, investment tax rules provide various incentives for taking risks, which Obama would have played class warfare to the max with.

I saw one of the years when he paid almost $2MM in taxes and donated many times what "Obama," also a millionaire, did. It was Republicans AND Democrats who set the capital gains tax at 15%. Romney would be a fool NOT to take advantage of that.

MOST of the income tax revenue comes from rich people. Bring it on. Did you ever get a job from a poor person? I want to encourage rich people to invest, make money, provide jobs. They are the engine of economic growth that built this country.True, the workers did the jobs that made it possible for them to succeed, but they built the businesses, in spite of any Marxist crap to the contrary spewed by "Obama."

      • collhic

Well, unless you're Betsy Ross sewing the American flag...the express is "reap what you sow..."

      • Denise Treesh

I agree, but that does not make Trump a racist - when you over use a word and it doesn't fit - it become obsolete

  • Craig Robinson

Donald Trump has more smarts in his little finger than Obama and his entire stgff. Racism is alive and well and more in the black community than whiite. 93% of blacks voted for Obama. 80% of minorities voted for Obama. Obama is catering to the food stamp junkies and it's working. Very simple. Why work when u make more sitting on your ass. We used to be a country proud of our jobs and paying taxes that helped make OUR nation what it is today. Now we have a muslim socialist in office dismanteling our constitution and forcing a government health care down our throats. American values????

    • Denise Treesh

I agree that racisim is alive and well in the black community - some of them hate white people - I wrote about it above in my post - however, the rest of what you are saying is sounding just as ignorant as the person calling Trump a racist- I am white, have a Master's degree - I do not get food stamps - I make good money - so I am not sitting on my ass - and Obama is not a Muslim - where do you guys get that??? He went to a "racist church" in my "opinion" - I'll give you that - perhaps why Oprah left that church - but the rest of what you are saying is egregious as the article. And helping people is an American value - that does not make it socialism - another uneducated thing I hear people say

    • Truth&Reality

The reality is the 36% of individuals receiving food "stamps" are white Americans. Donald Trump is narcissistic and will say and do anything for attention, look at his comments about China while he is hawking his line of ties "made" in China. I am sure you know so people of your persuasion receiving "food" stamps and sitting in section 8 housing.

  • dreamer321

Trump is a self-promoting egotist. He is not a racist. He doesn't care about Obama. He doesn't care about birthers, Tea Partiers, Republicans, Democrats or politics. He only uses them for his own self interest. He only cares about himself. If his name isn't currently in the headlines, he will try to put it there. To him, bad publicity is better than no publicity. If you think he is an idiot or a chump or a moron, he is happy you are thinking about him. If you are criticizing him in a forum or a blog, he is in ego heaven. He sits in his ivory tower and looks down upon all of us who mention his name and he smiles. His worst fear is that he will say something and the news media doesn't report it. If he says something outrageous and get ignored, then he will say something even more outrageous. Egotism is addicting to some people and Trump is the biggest junkie of them all.

    • Denise Treesh

Finally - something closer to what "might" be the truth.

  • Saci

I'm happy Trump affiliates himself with the Republican Party. His racism and foolishness only accelerate the end of the Republican Party. Ba-bye tea parties.

  • the hun

First, trump is an idiot... but, when you mix pup with ice cream, it will not upgrade the pup,and you downgrade the ice cream.....1% pup or 99% pup, the ice cream is pupped.....

  • Ronald Mcloughlin

Trump is a chump! in my book. He really made a fool of himself. If he had any shame. he'd hide his face under his matted hair but he duznt care. He believes that even bad publicity is good.

  • beezdotcom

"The first 43 Presidents were not subjected to the kind of stunts Trump's pulling."

Please. Read a history book once in a while. Jefferson called Adams a hermaphrodite. Adams insinuated Jefferson was the offspring of a squaw and a mulatto. Jackson's wife was called a slut, JQAdams was accused of pimping his maid. Whether Trump is racist is debatable - but to somehow sanctify Obama as an unprecedented martyr due to personal attacks is simply ignorant.

    • Denise Treesh

People just have no clue as to the difference between fact and opinion - I just can't believe how uneducated some people are - and this person got paid to spew this garbage - I'd love to move to a place where people are intelligent instead of putting out false accusation on anyone - know any such place?

      • CAMaven

I hear that Cuba, Venezuela, or Cuba might be perfect for you. Argentina's headed in that direction, too.

  • Joe Fazek

rofl, the author of this article is a complete moron. EVERY modern president has had a lot more ridiculous questions asked about him than Obama has, the media has treated him gingerly.

  • Joe Fazek

Booo hoo everyone who didn't vote for Obama is a raycist!!!

Meanwhile blacks almost entirely voted for Obama, talk about racists!!

    • Denise Treesh

Funny how some people deny any evidence presented to them - on both sides

    • Odysseus256

Fact Check: Blacks traditionally vote democrat. 2000: 94-6% for Gore, 2004: 89-11 Kerry, 2008: 96-4 Obama, 2012: 95-4% Obama. Wow he got an extra 1% that Gore didn't get. So racist.

  • Odysseus256

*Fact check: First biracial president. That is all.

    • Odysseus256

As a father of biracial children, the real racism is calling a biracial person black. It goes back to the old "one drop rule" where if a person is a mix of two races, then they are automatically a member of the one with the "lower social class." It also goes back to slavery where a person would be considered black and would be enslaved if they were biracial. I once heard a biracial person from South Africa saying that most of the rest of the world now calls biracial people for what they are, and that this only continues on in the United States. Sad.

      • pipblack

The worse problem is even worrying about the race of someone. I am an American - that is enough.

        • Denise Treesh

EXACTLY!!!! STOP SPENDING YOUR LIFE TRYING TO BE A COLOR - ALL OF YOU

  • THEIFAM

Trump probably donated more money to the Obama campaign than 95% of all of the other financial supporters of the president. Don't let his outward actions fool you.

    • Jeanette Royster

I do believe many publicly supported Romney but voted Obama in private!!!!!

  • OliverWent

First I would like to say "Donald Trump is an idiot!". Also I think you should all go back and look at the "smear" ads thrown at Mitt by his fellow Republicans running in the primaries - trust me, they were far worse then any Democrat's ad. The bottom line is that the Republican party thought they could buy this election and were too stupid to realize that Carl Rove, the Tea Party crazies, Fox News and fat ass Rush are destroying their party. I voted for Obama for one reason " he is a decent human being who is trying to repair what the Republicans have done to this country and has had a up hill battle because the Republican Congress has fought him every step of the way and did not give a dam about this country and just wanted to get "the black guy" out of office. Well you know what - the American people aren't blind and they aren't stupid (except of course for Donald Trump) and they voted for the BEST MAN!!!!!!

    • pipblack

Interesting... I voted for Mitt Romney for similar reasons that you voted for President Obama. Race was not a part of my consideration. President Obama had a Democratic House and Senate his first two years in office and nothing was accomplished then either. Even the Democratic Senate would not vote for the one budget plan he has offered in 4 years.
He was voted into a second term; now he needs to do something constructive. If he actually followed through with his bipartisan promises and stopped blaming everyone else, he might get there.

    • Ronald Mcloughlin

The best friend the Democrats ever had was Rush L. His ranting and raving was gross fun! I especially liked his "man-love" suggestion between Christie and O'Bama. Oh, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum.

  • cherykie

Ms Maxwell plays the race card so well. The truth is that most light skinned people look through Obama's color and see his ulterior motives. Why should he work so hard to not disclose his past when no president EVER went to the extent he has? Just what is he hiding? his associations with dubious characters? That has been exposed. His sexual proclivities? Exposed. His ideology? Exposed. His hatred of whites? - sorry, he hasn't tried to hide that. His true lineage? Who cares? What matters to me is that this man has made a mockery of the constitution and the bill of rights , our God inspired system of government, and like a tape worm is eating the life out of what freedoms individual citizens possess. But then, as Godless as this nation has become, God must have put him in office to completely destroy this country as he did with the king of Babylon who was ordained to destroy Israel as punishment for turning away from Almighty God. So, if Obama does his worst , we brought the destruction upon ourselves.

    • Jeanette Royster

God inspired government in America??? Hahahahaha

    • petuniababi

Are you a family member of Trump's or Romney's? You have to be to have such blindness. This attitude cost your "stupid" party the election. But that part works for me.You handed us the win on a silver platter.Thank you for your stupidity.

    • Erick Mar

      My friend,
The message you just gave us is exactly the reason you and your backward thinking friends not only lost the election but will suffer more painfully in the future. It is based on hatred and denial to what this country is actually about. Inclusiveness IS this country's best advantage.
As they said way back in the seventies to anyone that didn't seem to agree with your ideology..love it or leave it. Please follow the road signs, they were laid out pretty well for you by real Americans on election day.

    • Marcia Lucas

Can't keep a GREAT person down.Go Stew in your SELF HATRED.Your inner self will destroy you.RACISM is a cancer . IT WILL DESTROY YOU.Lots of LOVE to YOU and YOUR KIND.

  • groovimus

You ranters on here are nasty. Every person who you resent for their comments are racist and Nazi in your severely constricted worldview. Trump did something interesting. He wanted to prove that you guys are so uncurious as to why EVERY RECORD of Obama's past is sealed, and that this fact will not open you up to your enslavement to the Obamao cult. And that keeping the records sealed is SO important to our transparent president. Pleasant dreams guys, hope you wake up from your nightmare of Nazis everywhere.

    • petuniababi

      Hope you wake up.....period,nitwit.

  • Snidley Whiplash

Do not call Donald a racist. He is simply living his American Dream. Its all about rating and nothing more. By positioning himself as the Biggest Racist in America, Donald is sadly playing to the majority of this country. The Associated Press poll survey taken two weeks before the election found that 51% of Americans are predudice against blacks. As soon as the numbers drop below 50%, Trump will start singing a new song. It only makes good business sense to play to the majority. Marketing 101.

  • Betsytzu

What we need to do in the U.S. is have "the discussion" we haven't had. A lot of white people carry resentment left over from the 60's and 70's (white kids who didn't get into their chosen university because of quota systems, for example), and feel they haven't been heard. They vote their resentments, while the rest of us have moved on. As a nation we also need to acknowledge the damage slavery inflicted on all of us and to admit to its true nature. Michelle Bachman (sp) demonstrated this kind of ignorance when she discussed American slavery using slave-apologist propaganda from roughly the 1830's insisting that American slavery was benign and "Christian." It certainly wasn't; read Harriet Jacobs. I don't mean to offend, but America was a get-rich-quick scheme from the beginning and a slave colony, with the brutality that goes with that, well into the modern age, so our conversation needs to start from there. I would also like to suggest that Congress establish a national day of mourning, on July 5th, to acknowledge our forefather's lack of moral fiber in writing slavery into our constitution. A lot of powerful white men got rich, and the rest of us are still suffering the effects. Just a thought.

    • cherykie

I couldn't get a job in 1969 because all jobs went to blacks, so I had to pay 1 1/2 months salary to get a job through an employment agency. but I didn't put on a hood and robe shouting. death threats. As far as slavery goes it has been around as long as man has , so no, I won't apologize for what was put in the founding fathers documents. I will apologize for the treatment of blacks since I was born, though, because as a young child I remember the " whites only" and" no negroes allowed" signs. I remember when blacks had to sit at the back of the bus. In fact I was jealous because the back bounced around more and that was more fun! But I also remember that just about EVERYBODY was a democrat where I grew up, And I have since learned that Abraham Lincoln who freed the slaves was a REPUBLICAN! So for all the blacks so enamored of the gift giving democrats, you might want to read or reread the story of the Trojan Horse. In modern terms, the moral of the story is : BEWARE OF DEMOCRATS GIVING FREE STUFF. Oh, those "powerful white men who got rich"- did you ever stop to consider the numbers of them that were and are DEMOCRATS?

      • itslow

The parties switched ideologies in the late 19th century. Lincoln, for all intents and purposes, was the 1860s equivalent of a 21st century Democrat. The Republican party of his day shares very little with the Republican party of today.

    • Maureen Svenson

I agree! The founders of our country compromised their moral principles by selling out on the slavery issue in order to enlist the military support of those colonies who were dependent on a slavery based economy. P.S. About me: For more years than I care to count, I've taught high school U.S. history for a living.

  • Karma Happenz

I researched and learned that an estimated 90% of gays voted for Obama. I believe that the overwhelming majority of black people who voted for Obama were driven by the same thing that drove gay people......inclusion......acceptance.

    • Karma Happenz

And "The Donald"......he embarrasses himself with his comments. I cannot take him seriously.....he is a TV personality. I like his show The Apprentice and will continue to watch it. But there is no place for "The Donald" in politics, and he knows it.....otherwise he would have run for president. I dismiss his input and gibberish because who cares what he thinks. His influence is nil.

  • Rudy Richie

so 94% of all "negros" that spanish for black voted for "insane" and they are not racist.

if 94% of all whites had voted for MITT, THEY "NEGROS" WOULD STILL BE BURNING DOWN AMERICA!

    • Gary Baker

so why did you feel the need to use that word instead of black rudy the rest of your rant is in english so why didnt you speak spanish in the rest of it. WE all know why and im married to a spanish lady and im white. I am a fiscal conservative and i hate the party that is supposed to represent me. I dont exclude people who are different than me. SO Rudy quit trying to be white it will never happen and as the blacks say you are just an uncle tom but only a mexican version. lol

    • Dore Teichman

Man- feel so much better.. to know that racism is really dead in america. Thank you.. what year did you say it was? 1956??

      • Marcia Lucas

Not dead my friend. Was dormant for a while but is on the rise AGAIN.Hopefully the young people of the world will slow it down AGAIN

    • Nikki Winn

Or, most of people in general vote for the party that doesn't hate them (single women, Latinos, African Americans, and Asian Americans all voted overwhelmingly for Obama). Also, I don't remember "insane" being an option on the ticket, but I guess my poor lady-brain could be confusing things again *titter*.

      You're a racist asshole.

      • pipblack

Hate is a strong word. What makes you think Republicans hate single women, Latinos, African American and Asian Americans? I have friends in each of these categories that voted for Romney and I had friends in each of these categories vote for Obama. All of them had a reason other than hate or race for their voting pattern.

      • Craig Robinson

Government handouts carried the vote. U must b proud. Having another child is not considered a pay raise. Immigrating to this country illegally and reaping the benefits our tax payers provide is wrong. Taxpayers understand what I'm saying. The rest are the problem with this country.

  • dockofthebay

Finally someone calling out Trump with reality, in these days even the repubs have learned they can't say don't vote for the black guy, so they couch it in these code words.....but it's still just old fashioned racism, and privately they admit it.

  • Ricardo Fernández

I vote for Obama because I'm not rich, I'm not white, I'm not a Jesus Freak, I'm not a gun crazy, I'm not a homophobe and I'm not racist. Too many ugly things under the republican umbrella.

    • pipblack

I am not rich, I am a Jesus Freak, I believe guns are not the problem, I am not racist, I am not a homophobe (it is not biblical, but so is a lot of other things) and I voted for Mitt Romney. But I also believe each of us should be held accountable for our actions. If you choose not to spend money wisely, it is not the taxpayers job to bail you out - individual or corporation. If you commit a crime, do the time. I believe the moral compass of our country is pointing in the wrong direction.

      • Denise Treesh

Okay, I've been with you up to this - why are we trying to legislate morality? That is a personal issue - even GOD believes that- he does not force anyone to follow his ways - so why do you think that's appropriate?

      • Denise Treesh

Okay, I've been with you up to this - why are we trying to legislate morality? That is a personal issue - even GOD believes that- he does not force anyone to follow his ways - so why do you think that's appropriate?

Okay, I've been with you up to this - why are we trying to legislate morality? That is a personal issue - even GOD believes that- he does not force anyone to follow his ways - so why do you think that's appropriate?

    • polarnj

Reps are a bit myopic and easily nastier than any party in the the US or EU that i know. NO taxes can ever be raised? Any restraint or regulation and u r are socialist? Scientists are liberal atheist conspirators? Social safety net is Communism? Who is really un-American? They hate the government, hate liberalism, hate granting freedoms to oppressed, hate diversity, hate progress and modernity...i thought that was how the world defined American!

      • pipblack

I believe you to be a bit short sighted. This article that is attached to these comments is about defending a writer who claims that Donald Trump is racist because he questions President Obama's past. That is racist? How can you defend his past if no one is allowed to know the details? As a Republican, I do not hate the government, but I do believe that it has become too large and overbearing. I do not hate liberals, I do have a hard time understanding their base rock beliefs. I am a Christian and I believe in science. As a person with a BS in Biology with an emphasis on environmental science, I would say that the EPA regulations are very overdone. Would love to see some fresh perspective in their ranks on how to deal with people and for them to have an understanding of the economic cost to small businesses. By the way, over regulation has done more to snuff out "progress and modernity" than anything else. Why do jobs go elsewhere? When was the last time a refinery has been built in the USA? Because manufacturers are allowed to manufacture. Taxes are a necessary, responsible duty of all citizens of any country. Before you raise taxes though you should see if there is anything that can be done away with or done more efficiently. Used to be that Churches took care of people who needed a hand up, then the government got involved and regulated the Churches; now less congregations want to help. Who is oppressed? The USA is the single most benevolent country and largest fighter against oppression.

  • oldman66

Voted for Jimmy Carter - first term
Voted against Jimmy Carter - second term = Not accused of being racist or a Nazi at that time.

Voted for President Obama - first term
Voted against President Obama - second term = Now I'm a racist and/or a Nazi.

    • Jeffre Heath

Did you read the article? It was about Trump, not you.

  • player561

This is isn't racist its just that Obama is a Buddhist not born in America and a shite president

    • petuniababi

Player,go outside and play on the freeway.

    • Jeffre Heath

I hope you're being sarcastic. If so, it's funny. If not, it's really sad.

  • SusanNY

Is it racism when the overwhelming majority of Obama's base supports him for the simple reason he is black? When you ask a person who is voting for Obama, why? Most cannot give you an answer. When you win an election by dragging bodies to the polling place who may or may not be versed in the issues of our country, Entertain them with Jay Z or Beyonce for their vote, is that what we have become?

    • petuniababi

You're crazy!!! It' called campaigning. What about millionaire Pubs trying to buy the election and trying to make it hard for poor people in rural areas to get access to voting priviledges?Susan, you're pouting because the nitwit you supported ....LOST!!!! And what really makes you shudder is the fact that he had a good chance of winning, but his ignorance made him lose.In other words he got bested by a smarter BLACK MAN.Shudder.

    • Gary Baker

really? susan i could very well have a debate with you about the issues but then you are probably a tea party member and it wouldnt do any good as you are probably entertained by Rush looneybauh and Faux news and are not versed in the truth about mitt romley and paul rino. I am a fiscal conservative and social liberal. I dont think its the govt business to get into the personal lives of U S citizens and the tea party members believe that it is their right to be the arbitrators over everyone elses lives but they dont want it for themselves. Just like taxes.

      • pipblack

Do some real research on the Tea Party.

    • antorioperez

@susanNy-I think you are a undercover racist!!! what you stated does not make any sense to say so. I bet you you smile in your black friends face and talk behind their backs afterward. Killyourself!!!!!!!!

      • petuniababi

You are so right!!! I have worked with many like her.Laugh in your face on the job, after hours it's the N word.

    • Marty Geltschlepper

I read your post and I asked 7 of my friends why they voted for Barak Obama. None said that it was because he was Black. 3 liked the Affordable Healthe Care Act. 6 said they thought he was very smart, 4 said he was a very reasonable man. 5 said they trusted him and 5 said because he was a Democrat. For me, it was because of the Affordable Health Care Act, because I think he is smart and I feel like he cares about people. None of us voted for him because he is Black. I don't consider him Black. He is half and half.

      • pipblack

I think it is laughable that it is called the Affordable Health Care Act; my insurance rates are going up because of it. Have you read the entire document?

    • dockofthebay

"Obama's base supports him for the simple reason he is black" This is where y'all are wrong, and why you lost the election. We voted for him because of his policies, we were blind to his color. Because y'all are racist, you can't embrace this idea. I personally would never vote for someone like Romney who wouldn't even say how much money he makes, or how much tax he pays out of embarrassment. I won't vote for a republican because of the kind of person they would put on the supreme court, scalia, roberts, the racist black guy Thomas. Republicans are anti choice and anti birth control, most americans support these womens issues. Republicans want to spend money on bombs instead of food and education, they are no more likely to reduce the deficit, just their own tax bills.

Until the 'grandpa old party' pulls it's head out of the sand, i'm happy to say i think they will keep losing the presidency.

      • pipblack

Interesting...anti-birth control? My wife and I use birth control and we voted Republican. Maybe you meant to say that I am anti paying for other peoples birth control? That would be a fair assessment. My wife and I chose to be off birth control at points in our marriage so my wife could get pregnant. That was our choice. Choosing to have sex and not use birth control is a choice. Killing a baby is also a choice, it should be called murder. Being responsible for your own actions used to be commendable thing, now it is cannot be expected

    • ChristinaW

Was it racist when Frank SInatra entertained for Reagan? They were both white? I have relatives for vote for any Catholic, or Italain candidate, but think it is racist for any Black person to vote for Obama.

    • Daniel Jean-Louis

So it's a ok for a man to get pulled over because he is black, to receive lower pay or passed on a job though he may be more qualified than the other candidates because he is black, be deemed a lesser human being for years and still to this day because he is black, and the list can go on...so yes, people will vote for him because he is black, but also because, he will go down in history as one of the most successful presidents in modern day history despite incurring obstacles not only in his own party, but from both the tea-party extremists and bull headed congress lead GOP. So just because he is black I'm voting for him statement or I voted for him because he is black, I'm good with that, and for the record he is bi-racial

    • Jeffre Heath

I'm wealthy and white. I voted for Obama because he has turned around the jobs situation, he has passed the Affordable Care Act, he is bringing our troops home, and he is socially liberal. it IS racist to think most people voted for him because he's black.

      • nhirsch

I'm with Jeffre although maybe not so wealthy.

    • czarney

You realize that the majority of people that voted for Romney are white? Then by your argument that makes them racist. I asked the same question to those citizens why are you voting for Romney and the answer I got was "Hey I gave the black guy a chance, now it's time for the white guys to fix the problem." Really, serious. And Romney didn't entertain people...Kid Rock and Sam Moore (from Sam and Dave)... well maybe your half right on that...Kid Rock really isn't that entertaining. I know why I voted Obama. The economy maybe slow to recover (and when Obama was elected the FIRST time he did say it would take more then 2 terms to fix this problem). He did bring manufacturing jobs back to America, he supports gay marriage, the Lily Ledbetter act. There are things he didn't accomplish in his first term, but when you have a dysfunctional congress and all they seem to care about is making sure he's a one term president, and screwing the middle class, then it's hard to do get a job done. Let's be realistic, if you were a poor to middle class african American family living in the United States of America, why would you vote for Romney? He wants to make you worse of then you are, by pushing the tax burden off himself and his 1% buddies and have you and your children pay for this debt for the rest of their lives. The trickle down effect never worked (a report was done to show this, but our republican congress squashed it from the public). So I believe African-American, Asian-Americans, Hispanics and women voted for Obama because he had their best interests in mind, it had nothing to do with their race.

      • petuniababi

This is typical of a Romney fan.Us weekly asked the candidates to tell us twenty-five things we didn't know about them,Mitt declined.Obama complied. With little tidbits like Homeland is his fave TV show, worrying about Malia getting old enough to attend the prom etc.Mitt tries to be so above it all he can't relate to regular people. His head is so far up his rich buddies behinds he can't lower himself to be regular like 47% of us. Likeability is what Obama had going for him.He is a educated, handsome, charming man that acts like he is your next door neighbor.Mitt was not likeable, nor Ann,at all.You can see he is so removed from regular people with his stiff ,constipated look.I wouldn't want him for a neighbor or a president. And in my neighborhood of 95,000 dollar homes......well he wouldn't be caught dead here anyway.

        • czarney

          well said.

    • Chu Che

"Is it racism when the overwhelming majority of Obama's base supports him for the simple reason he is black?"

Oh really? So then Susan, what do you make of the fact that 76% of white men voted for Romney, despite being only 33% of the population? That's racism too, right?

    • Ed Johnston

Wow Susan, its good to see your not a racist but simply a pure bred Nazi. Looks like the master race did survive the war. So, which of children or family member serves as your fuhrer? Let's hope what America does not become is like you.

      • oldman66

Ed. You are truly preceptive. You derived that Susan is a Nazi just from her post. Also, did you read your last sentence before you posted it?

    • Tim Anderson

SusanNY: a typical response from someone who proclaims opinion as fact. "ask a person who is voting for Obama, why? Most cannot give you an answer..." I do not know what circles you run in, but I do not believe your statement to be true, unless you can support with facts I take your response as a typical opinion from the ininformed. You state this as if it were fact, not "your" opinion. Let me tell you why I voted for Obama:

1: Boener's look of defiance and determination to block Obama's (and the American people's) agenda
2: Romney's blatant lies about the auto industry, that American is worse off, that he is for change without explanation or details (other than "I have a 5-point plan). Even when proven wrong he still sticks with the lies leading me to question what else he would do or say just to get in office.
3: Obama's track record for recovery. Although slow, we "are" experiencing a steady recovery, which is better than no recovery. Can you imagine where we would be if the likes of Boener did something constructive? Even in the face of republican opposition and steadfast attempts to fail Obama, we still have progress

Jay Z and Beyonce are only entertainment, not an attempt to woo the American vote. I would rather be presented music from the Boss or Beyonce than a load of lies that attempt to scare folks into voting a particular way. Regardless of who won, this country will continue to be the greatest in the world. There are too many checks and balances to allow "one" man or woman to destroy what we have built.

So, it's not that he's black... it that he is a human, equal in every way; and educated with sound policy. He is compassionate, likeable, caring, and most important, he remains calm in the face of tragedy. Obama is the shining example of what we want in leaders.

      • nhirsch

Tim: thanks for taking the time to respond to SusanNY. You reflect my beliefs as well and I would have simply dismissed her comment as stupid.

  • jennifer.michaud

Alex, it's sadly a reflection of the hit the office of the president took during Bush Jr's tenure. It became more about who people would want to share a beer with than who they respect to make decisions, and it has never fully recovered. How else do you explain the fact that the President was called a snob by Santorum for wishing everyone in America could go to college? Bush did more than just trash our economy.

    • dockofthebay

We will be recovering from the negative effects of the Bush administration for twenty years, more if his supreme court picks last. There were so many small bad things Bush did, hiring zealots to work for the federal government and transferring them to regular jobs before the term ended, bad laws, bad judges, bad administrators. Yes, his policies trashed our economy, the attitudes that his party put in place are far more destructive.

    • nhirsch

Don't forget Obama can share a beer too. Remember when that Harvard professor was arrested at his house, that Obama sat down with the professor and the police officer at the white house with their favorite beers.

  • Alex Gorosh

Beyond our shiny-haired friend, I was appalled at the obvious lack of respect shown by so many news pundits and fellow politicians during this campaign. From the angry anchors at Fox News to Mr. Romney during the debates, they spoke about our President like he is the worst socialist dictator that has ever won public office in America. I understand that this is their political posturing but where's the common decency and respect? They never would have talked about Clinton in that way. Irrespective of the issues, Trump's comments are on par with an entire school of right-wing loud mouths who are setting an awful example for our nation and the world.

    • pipblack

How did you overlook the way the rest of the media spoke about Mr. Romney?

    • Suzanne Moore

You nailed it, Alex. This was going on before he was even NOMINATED for his first run. I've never, ever seen such naked hatred in my life. It goes on and on - he's the Anti-Christ, a Muslim or my own favorite - a socialist Nazi. Incredible. I'm white, female and a Texan currently living in Indiana (at least Mourdock lost).

    • nhirsch

I too was appalled and agree totally with you, Alex.

    • player561

lol no he IS the worst socialist dictator that has ever won public office in America

      • petuniababi

Please take that little trip i told you about. You are one total nitwit.

      • Nikki Winn

Except for the, you know, ACTUAL socialists who have won public office in America. Google Huey Long.

  • TammyB

To those who feel this was not a racist gesture I ask you to contemplate one simple question: Why didn't Mr. Trump feel the need to offer $5M to Mitt Romney to release HIS college transcripts and passport records? And before you say "Because HIS credentials are not in question" then I would similarly ask, "Why aren't Mr. Romney's credential in question?"

Barack Obama (who BTW is bi-racial, not black) was scrutinized for 2 years before 2008, and if the Clintons couldn't find anything on him, there was nothing to find. But that didn't stop Sarah Palin - a complete unknown outside Alaska - from stepping onto the stage at the Republican National Convention as the VP candidate and pronouncing "What do WE know about Obama?"

Huh? Who is this "WE" and while we're at it, who the heck are YOU? But we knew she was white, and that's really all "we" needed to know. So long as Obama is bi-racial, to a certain segment of the population he will always be "unknowable" no matter how many birth records and transcripts he publishes.

Because he doesn't look like "us."

    • petuniababi

Well we all know who Palin is now.The woman who helped killed the John McCain dream and for being the biggest dip stick in the Republican party and that's all i'm going to waste on her.

  • Dore Teichman

Donald Trump's comments about the president is absurd and shameful. How anyone feels about the president is not at issue- it is respect for the office. Flatly to speak about the president of this country, as has "The Donald" brings shame on not just himself. but on the American people as a whole. Clearly Don as shown us that money does not impart brains, or class.

    • nhirsch

      you nailed it Dore.

    • player561

Respect for office? lolol come on a man who is for killing babies deserves no respect

      • Tim Anderson

support your assertion with facts... what the heck are you talking about?

  • Ima Luthier

It's very ignorant to call anyone who is anti-liberal agenda and anti-Democrat a racist..."let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone"

    • Mich012

Ima, by your "anti-liberal, anti-Democrat" measure, Romney would be a racist, but he is not. Trump certainly is a racist -- and everything he says and does in regards to Obama proves that. And get off your darn "one who has never sinned" high horse.

      • Ima Luthier

See, you are one of those people who think anyone against Obama must certainly be a racist, by the demeanor in which you replied. Trump is simply a Capitalist who is still publicly doubting the validity of the answers to those long persisting questions about Obama's origins, educational/professional past, and who disagrees with his failed policies and administration's track record. Those who simply disagree with Obama's policies are ostracized as a simple "racist"? Actual racism from the left is the only cause for this reasoning and accusation. I am simply a capitalist, and praise other capitalists, no matter the race or origin (Herman Cain, Allen West, Mia Love, Marco Rubio, et al, are all great capitalists or politicians, and very intelligent people whom I would vote for in an instant, because we share the same PRINCIPLES and policies) and that is being threatened on an intensely prolific scale...business owners (like Mr Trump) are extremely concerned in this time of uncertainty when a president who favors big government with high taxation and regulation is elected. When that happens is businesses close or downsize, the jobless rate goes up, and then even more depend on the government for their next paycheck. I think I can presume which side you are on. Look past the glitz and glamor of Obama's (diminished) charisma, and base your opinion on him based on on his policies and accomplishments (to may of us, Obamacare is not an accomplishment, especially when you see some of the provisions that were sneaked into the bill) and then advise if you still feel the same...this is not the "transparent" administration as was originally promised.

        • Tim Anderson

someone's been listening intently to Romney... Geeze... Romney has a way of brainwashing... You state some things as negative that many of us do not view as negative. I look at Obama and have more respect for him now than I did 4 years ago (his charisma is not diminished 'in my opinion').

I am a business owner and am not concerned, but thanks for putting words in all business owner's mouths. My business is is doing well, but thanks for assuming it's not (as you appear to speak for all people as if it were fact).

God bless this country and the leader who guides it.. Obama.

          • Ima Luthier

Tim, first of all, congratulations on carving a niche in the business world that creates a demand through the thick and the thin of the economy, you obviously have the intelligence to have found a business model that works in all fiscal climates. Secondly, you seem to have read WAY too much into my post, and obviously, you and I will always be at an impasse to political opinion, but I am defending the capitalist in general, as it was what has built our nation into the super power it is. Even without all the low taxation, our citizens are the most financially benevolent nation on Earth to their own and to other nations (which I believe needs to be curtailed significantly) because they are inspired and compelled to be, not because they are forced to be through taxation. However, the big government model is a theory that has been proven time and time again, and does not work long term when true liberty is desired.

Obama's charisma has indeed diminished, as the negativity from and his cabinet towards any conservative agendas and pundits has increased twofold due to his first term, and this race (based on the popular vote) proved it. He has polarized much of this nation and is not a proponent of the center, and when he uses the term "fundamentally change America", that's a HUGE, threatening statement to those who have built their lives and flourished under the current system.

I cannot understand those still approve of Obama when his past statements, associations, written works, unproven documentation, and questionable ethics professionally, that are conceivably anti-American are out there for the world to see for itself.

  • LAMarlowe

As a lifelong racist, I am truly insulted to be lumped in with the likes of this man.

  • lillycat51

I have 2 absolutely beautiful, adopted grandchild who are black. I raised a feminist, daughter attorney who decided to be prolife by adopting, not by ranting a mantra and holding a sign. My grandchildren are the light of my life and I am the nanny for my daughter and her husband. I never was asked if I was on food stamps or on WIC until I was in a grocery line with my grandkids as infants and by the way I was in a mink coat at the time. Oh just recently a clerk at Walgreens told me I had a halo in heaven for being good to those kind of kids. Was I their foster mom? I'm sure these fine white folks never think they are racists. In fact the Walgreens clerk is a fine Christian, she told me. Racism is alive and well in this nation.

Suggestion for the cretin who wrote this article: try a Drano enema.

    • Mich012

frankn, is that what happened to you? your lost your brain during an aggressive enema?

  • Marnie Bell-Ferguson

please. haters gonna keep on hating. trolls gonna keep on trolling. Racism is alive in 2012 and under our business model of a "democracy", there is just too much incentive that keeps it raging it's ugly face. The bitterness felt in Obama's second term election has only just started. We must call it what it is, but keep moving FORWARD to diminish it's strength!!

    • Frank N Stein

Here I come a'trollin"...the possessive form you likely intended is "its" rather than the contraction "it's" which means "it is". Maybe you need to repeat 8th grade grammar, or perhaps take it for the first time.

      • Marnie Bell-Ferguson

Hey! Thanks for catching my mistake. You are correct that I misused the possessive form. More than likely, sleep deprivation was the cause of poor usage, not my education...or lack thereof. The grammar police have been here! Move on, please.

      • Kamal Koin

You worry me Frank. Truly. You're not digging deep enough to find the good you were born with. Don't buy the hype about people being better than others just because of race. It's the ultimate test. the easiest default setting. Fight it. Don't let the devil win. And have a snickers. You're not yourself when you're (your?) hungry:-)

  • Donna D.

Excuse me, but has anyone bothered to look at the national debt and the welfare role since Obama took office? I think I could probably look like I was doing quite well if I increased my debt by 50%, but what am I going to do when the bill comes due? That's just what our president has done to America. He has made himself look good by focusing on skewed numbers ie the "unemployment rate" (The number of people drawing unemployment compensation) has fallen, but only because so many people have stopped looking for work, their benefits have expired, and they've gone on welfare because the work for welfare requirement was dropped. The actual numbers are ugly and the national debt has increased by 50%. Obama made himself look good, but the taxpayers will be paying the bill for generations to come. The world economy is far from stable. Take off the rose colored glasses and see the truth people.

    • Kamal Koin

They've got u fooled ol' Grimm. There's a saying in french, "reculer pour mieux sauter". Look up the meaning my dear fellow american. You're just regurgitating the over-simpliflied glop the loaded right wingers are doling out. There's a whole lot more in play than we'll ever be privy to and the only way we can "help" is by believing in the elected few who's records show a balanced approach to earning for themselves and giving back. Actions speak louder than words. You'll get it. Why? Because I'm praying for you.

  • Manofsteel11

The debate on this website echoes the one conducted by both parties. Rather than coming together to transform our broken political institutions, dysfunctional financial system, failing education apparatuses, collapsing healthcare services, decaying infrastructure and deteriorating ecosystem you debate what trump wanted you to focus on and what Obama's negative campaign generated out of enlightened (Harvard-style?) liberalism. In a nation where almost half of the citizens won't vote, at a time when most don't know the names of their representatives nor do they care about coming together, the result is obvious. You get what you deserve, either way. You can hate Romney or Obama or vice versa, you can point fingers at the other party all day long, but at the end, it is the USA that falls behind. Wake up and focus on being functional!

    • dreamer321

Manofsteel11 ... You had a great post without the "liberalism" dig. Too bad. Oh and Romney went to Harvard also. And he had just as much negative advertising. But keep up the good work!!

    • Kamal Koin

That was a thing of beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to you 'manofsteel11'. This is why I love my country. Everybody gets to say something and every now and then one reads something that just ab-so-lutely brings everything into focus!!!!! HD bro!!!!!! Let me know when you're running for office so I can vote for you!!!!

  • goodygoodytwoshoes

does 95 percent of our black population voting for Obama denote racism or is it just me.

    • Libbydean

Black people have voted for white candidates for years. I didn't hear anyone complaining about that. Why would people vote for a candidate that announced that he didn't care about them?

    • Jim Keefe

unless you make over $250,000 you are a real dupe or a complete biggot...

      • Frank N Stein

Biggot...is that like a spigot? I am familiar with a "bigot" but not a "biggot". Maybe that is an intensified version of a "bigot".

        • petuniababi

Yeah, that suits you perfectly. You are an intensified "biggot" and a smarta** to boot.

    • Kerry Howery

In fact, it may just be you. Does some percent of White Americans (pick your own number) never having voted for a Black candidate denote racism? Does nearly 90% of African-Americans tending to support any Democratic candidate denote racism?
It is mostly a matter of preference and perceived self-interests, just as an overwhelming percentage of Mormons supporting Romney does not denote religious bigotry..

  • BohdanUke1

Go back to africa. Stop polluting our country.

  • ObamaMomma

Racism shows it's ugly head again and it's a comb over! Trump already got the long form birth certificate!! He is a joke. I refuse to watch The Apprentice ever again. He makes me feel sick. I pray that our President just continues to ignore him!

    • petuniababi

      He will. It's called class,something Trump's millions can't buy.

    • player561

Lolol well 95% of the black population voting for Obama seems pretty racist to me, dipshit

      • Suzanne Moore

Why would any black person vote for Romney? Why would any WHITE person vote for Romney? What does color have to do with it?

It's a simple case of preferring people who think to people who don't.

    • Stuart

Things aren't always racism just because you, or someone else, says they are. And as I recall Trump was not single handedly responsible for obama releasing a long form birth certificate.

  • Rafael Calderon

what i have never understood is: If it is proven that BO was not born in the USA; does that mean that the govt agencies; GOP operatives/billionaires, FBI, (you get the idea)
failed to prove this...until he is four years into his presidency? move over Madoff/Drier!

    • Antonio Contreras

What every birther further fails to understand is that any person born of a US citizen is a US citizen by birth. So, even if the President had been born in Kenya, he would STILL be a natural born citizen. So far, I have yet to see anyone claim that both his parents were foreigners AND that he was born outside the US. Only then could his nationality at birth be questioned.

  • butterfli48

Liz Dwyer is the racist here. Play the race card. I don't have to know what race Obama is to see his absolute failure as a chief executive. I'm retired from a great corporation and I know what a good executive is. Btw, Trump knows that Obama can't release his records, even though he won't say it. Anyone who is paying attention and not just listening to the Lame-stream Media can figure that out. Obama says in his own book that he visited Pakistan during a time when U.S. citizens were prohibited from travel there. Hmm, how did he do that? Let's pray that we are able to "Take out the trash" on November 6.

    • petuniababi

HA HA HA !!!! The trash man did his pickup.Thank God Mitt is gone.

    • Kamal Koin

Thank God folks like you are going the way of the Dodo. You're really not needed on the planet anymore. Amazing lack of decent human attributes!

    • kruller001

Butterfield man, somehow I just don't see it, If Obama has failed as an executive, explain the success of small business tax-breaks, auto bailout which worked (managed bankruptcy to you), the winding down of both wars costing billions annually, killing Osama and decimating Al-Quaida, the gradual and definitely rising job market, passing of the Affordable healthcare Act, which is an insurance market place made up of private insurance companies (not a government take-over.

Taxes are the lowest ever in 60 years, companies are making the most profits ever, the job market which is always a lagging indicator of the health of the economy are large is picking up, the bank bailout which worked, AIG has paid back the government FULLY, the Treasury made $328 million in profits, GM made 7 billion dollars in 2011, the most ever. And if through all of this Mr former exec, all you see is failure, then you were not much of a former executive let alone a Chief executive.

Norm Ornstein the President of the American Tax Institue, a conservative think thank, said the dumbest people alive were the people who voted out congressman and women who voted for the bailout at the behest of the tea party, the bailout saved the global economy, Mark Zandi the chief economist at Moodys and former McCain campaign advisor praised the President infusing cash into the financial system as stabilizing factor. As you can see Butterfield this is not just conjecture on my part, since you are now retired read a couple of other newspapers and get off the faux news channel

    • Una Dagger

Ah, the standard Republican debating technique: "I know you are, but what am I?" Seriously, it's like you guys are not only stupid, you're three years old.

Ah, the old "your racist for pointing out the racism" card.

    • Biff Bifferson

Trump "knows that Obama can't release his records"? So you admit that Don is a blowhard gasbag!

  • Bennie Stephens

This was a Very good thing Donald did Offering Obama a person who comes on the T.V. and states anyone that will not show there records are the onwes that have something to hide . Well true and obama paid 3 million to seal his records. And all these people in the USA that would vote for a person that will not unseal his records and let the people know who he is, where he came from. And many other things he has let slip through his lies in the past 4 years. It just boggles my mind to think that there are Americans out there that would buy a pig in a poke or a bird in the bush. In stead of have the knowledge of whom they are voteing for. Donald Trump a True Patriot wanting to get this info that Obama has refused to unseal the rcords an tell the truth to the people. Is so unbeleivable it make me think the americans still live in the stone age and don't really care about this Country. That millions have died for on the battle field and not one a legal commited by congress as an act of war and when you go into another country with killing being done it is Congresses responcibility to call it an act of war. Which sence WW2 we have been in Iraq 2 times and afganistan 2 times the first to help save Russia ass as we dids in ww2 when we drove Hitlers Army out of Russia with the help of our allies. There have other then the double wars or should we call rthem schermishes as congress never once called the shot and stated it was an act of war. There have been 9 other countries we have done the same thing in sence ww2 and weve lost every one. Take a good look at Iraq Obama say's it's won well the Talaban and alquada are still there car boming every other day and alquada takeing over north african and trying to push the Islamic Muslem Religion which is obama's religion and the are the Terroriest group that took out the twin towers in New York. And Obama say's they are beaten what a joke when we see it everyday where they have killed innocent people other then americans actually there own people. Donald Trump made a 5 million offer to this guy no one in this country really knows a thing about. If he would stand true to what he says on T.V. that the only person that has something to hide is the one that seals there records why doesn't he take the money and let the american people know who he is? • petuniababi

You sound like you are on drugs.WOW!! What do you think of people voting for someone who refuses to divulge the plans they have for your future or voting for someone who considers you a percentage? 47%.

    • Biff Bifferson

Wow, I'd like to see YOUR transcripts!

    • jonnybgood

Your spelling and punctuation tell us all we need to know about your intelligence.

    • GaryQ222

Wow. Bennie, relax. Refrain from ever putting anything in writing...unless you are an extremely clever left-leaning politico who knows that publicly posted pontifications like this are precisely the reason liberals claim the intellectual high ground. Just sayin..

      • Kamal Koin

My thoughts exactly! Have a glass of wine Bennie. Or a shot or two of moonshine.

        • Rachael VanPelt

Share your thoughts or insights…Interesting that you don't consider your own comment to be racist. By saying "moonshine" I would assume you are referring to Bennie as a "white, redneck". Yet you do not consider yourself racist?? The president himself, in a speech quite below the standards of a president, also once referred to "bible carrying, gun toting rednecks". Who is he, the president of the US, to make derrogatory statements, in a campaign speech, about other american citizens? He is supposed to represent ALL citizens of the US, and you wonder why some people have doubts about him. He is arrogant, and sarcastic, and that comment was very unbecoming of a president. He is not presidential material. For a president to EVER make any derrogatory statement against any fellow american should not be tolerated. That statement, as we all know, refers to rural white americans. Yet anyone who votes for Romney is suddenly racist. The US was founded under judeo-christian laws. It is not racists to read and follow the bible. Could you imagine Romney making a statement about "automatic weapon carrying gangsta's in the city"? There would be riots in the streets. Rural people have rifles for hunting mostly. City folk have guns to kill other people. I can't state facts about this, but it seems to me that more people are killed in the city with guns than in rural areas, but I guess this is just my opinion. This president has caused a lot of racial, religious, and class division in our country with the exact words that come out of his mouth. He should be ashamed. Further, it is not against the law, nor is it a sin to be rich. He bashes Romney about his money. What kind of house does he live in? How much money does he have, and does he make? To put people down who want to live a religious lifestyle is "suppression of religion". There is supposed to be religious freedom in this country and the president should be supporting that. Funny that the black race sticks together, no matter what, like sheep to the slaughter. They deny it, but the OJ Simpson trial taught me alot about their race. Am I racist?? YES, I am becoming that way. Especially because of things my own president has said, and things I have heard from the mouths of blacks about why they want Obama. Many whites are no better, but to say all hate and racism comes from just ONE race, religion, political party, or make-up of people is incorrect. There is good and bad in sectory. Obama is president now. I just hope his policies will be good for ALL americans, not just for the ones he like and his supporters.

Where he came from, and if hes a citizen of this country. The people that like buying a bird in the bush instead of one in the hand there in dire need of a physicitrist. Or in layman terms or comman everyday horse sence. These people have something rolling around in there head other then Brains when they will take a forcefull strangers words that he is telling them the truth and people he won't even prove he's a citizen of our country are the people in america so gullible they will beleive any clown that steps up and say;s i can lead you . • Steven Stowers-Banning

I believe that your post would sound a bit more logical and educated if you knew how to spell, with that said; No President in our history has had to endure more scrutiny than the current President. He has proven time and time again that he is an American citizen by releasing his birth certificate and when that was not good enough he released the long form birth certificate, then when that was done his academic achievements came into question and requests for his transcripts, college application and other information was requested. Obama never has or never will be a Muslim (correct spelling). The Taliban (correct spelling) and Al_Quada have been decimated and Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al-Quada is dead. Your arguments are not logical. You expect our President to release records and prove his religion, his education, his legitimate birth and the legitimacy of his Presidency, when his challenger Mitt Romney will not release tax returns, has accounts in the Cayman Islands to dodge income tax laws in the United States and who has changed positions on many things time after time and you have the audacity to call out Obama on his shortcomings. I suggest that you spend less time watching Fox News and more time reading material and look in to investing time into a proper education. You spelling skills and grammar, along with your uneducated logic and thinking suggest that it would be a benefit to you. In summary, Obama is NOT a Muslim (correct spelling), and he is an American citizen; I suggest that you quit hiding behind your illogical thinking and quit hiding behind your obvious and blatant prejudices and admit to yourself that you don't like the man because of the color of his skin and has nothing to do with anything you have mentioned above. Maybe in the future when your a bit more educated and your thinking is a bit more logical your posts will be considered serious and not just another uneducated and racial argument but one that is substantive and based on facts and not fiction.

      • petuniababi

I am sure this is why the president wants all children to have a college education. When i started reading i got mad then all i felt was pity. You need help, not only for spelling and grammar.

  • AndromedaHitz

Donald, How's this?...Offer the same deal for Romney about his complete last 12 year TAX RETURNS (an amount that his father "George Romney" set as a precedent for presidential candidates that has been followed by all presidential candidates since) and his financial statements ( which frankly bet against the US dollar) in Bermuda, Luxembourg, and the Cayman Islands as well as the Sankaty High Yield Asset Investors Ltd. funds that he transferred into his wife's name in 1977. And, as a caveat - tell him that if he doesn't - then - he should relinquish his candidacy for the Presidency of the United States of America!

    • GJPinks

Romney did release all his taxes. They are in the same box as Obamas transcripts, grant and scholarship applications and his passport. Why are you so racist to believe that it would be difficult for Obama to do this? Come on Obama, take five minutes and release all the records, tat might put pressure on Romney

  • Darrell Vollmer

Obama is losing and you all will play the race card to death. So pathetic.

    • Suzanne Moore

What a difference 2 weeks make! Sorry, Darrell, but the race card has been in play since 2008, and it's still PRESIDENT Obama.

    • vegas14mwz

President Obama is what now? I believe the word you are searching for is: RE-ELECTED.

    • Biff Bifferson

I agree: Don Trump is very pathetic.

  • Zhnjg

Here's another deep thought for you, BruceTx: how many white people do you think have voted for someone just because they are white? Hint: A TON. So get over yourself and your profundities via Wikipedia. Frankly, you should have to submit your college transcripts not only before you can vote but before you can post online. We'd all be saved from your expansive stupidity.

  • Zhnjg

It shouldn't be tolerated, but it is. I hope Americans enjoy this period of ugliness, once again, in their history. BruceTx, are you really so ignorant as to think it isn't racist to refer to an entire group of ppl by their race--"the blacks"--has it NEVER dawned on you that blanket generalizations are offensive? Did you finish high school? What planet are you from? Here's some advice: get out of the south, out of your bubble, and interact with someone who isn't just like you. Turn on your brain and think--just a little--beyond the confines of your own oh so limited existence.

    • butterfli48

But it's ok for Obama to ask all Black Americans to support him. Somehow that is not racist?

    • Dan Bruton

So because someone posts something racist on the internet he or she is automatically from the south? Hypocrisy much??? I am from the south-central great plains and while we do deal with a lot of ignorance here I would say we are no better or worse than anyone else.

Racism is a problem EVERYWHERE stupid... especially in densely populated urban centers like L.A, Baltimore, New York ect. So get off your high horse.

      • Suzanne Moore

You are SO right! I'm from Texas.

  • norberh

This is great, thanks for the perspective!

  • BruceTx

Since 1968, over 80% of the blacks have voted for Democratic presidential candidate. In 2004, 88% of the blacks voted for Kerry.
    http://www.factcheck.org/2008/04/blacks-and-the-democratic-party/

In 2008, 96% of blacks voted for Obama.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/21/mitt-romney-black-vote_n_1820329.html

There is nowhere where a such huge racial demographic votes the so consistently. Who said that blacks are not racially prejudice?

In order to work for educational institutions, law firms, medical industry, government agencies and many other companies, you are required to submit college transcripts.
Obviously, this is a basic expectation, so the President would have previously had to submit his college transcripts to someone. The real question that no one has asked, is what could possibly be in a college transcript that Mr. Trump would be willing to give away $5 million?

College transcripts essentially show the classes you took, your grades, and your graduation. How could this possibly be detrimental to the President?? There is nothing to hide if you have told the truth.

    • Stuart

More importantly they would show if he received aid because he was listed as a foreign exchange student.

    • angegoueti@gmail.com

Broaden your thought pattern. It was ridiculous for the democrats to want Romney's tax records (for the past ten years) which he didn't provide. Equally its ridiculous to ask for the presidents college transcript, especially after he has already served for four years already. Secondly if there was a republican nominee from Chinese decent there is a chance a larger portion of the Chinese population would vote for the nominee. Finally to your response "Who said that blacks are not racially prejudice?" the article is saying Trump is racist not all white people. How did you manage to compare trump being racist with all black people might be racist?

  • grassroot1

The reason he is doing this is obummer has concealed so much of his
past records that it is kind of suspicious. Why do this if there is nothing to
hide or maybe nothing to be proud of. His affiliation with marxist far left
radicals is probably the main ones. The affinity to saul alinsky and the " collapse the system" mantra they espouse is not the best to be trumpeting around. Trump eting, heh
Got to get to the root of this guy. But, as he said when he first took office.
" If you want to know what it is I'm about, look at those I surround myself with."
    Wow, what a crew.

  • Starr Kendall

@Jasper. I am wondering if Stacey Dash is still endorsing him after the response she received from him. Myth Robme is so far out of the loop, that he tweeted his thanks for her endorsement while addressing her as Ms. Houston and told her how much he loved her work in THE BODYGUARD. Someone needs to let him know Whitney Houston isn't endorsing anyone, since she died last February. Her death was all over the news but apparently didn't make it into the bubble that he resides in. Stacey Dash was not pleased with the tweeted response and made it clear in her tweet. He then had the gall to say that he wanted to thank her also, but had accidentally sent his tweet for Whitney to her. So he once again LIED when caught in error, unless he goes around tweeting dead people.

First off that is the most un-credible source I have ever seen in my entire life. The FEW ( I mean 2 or 3) links I found about this supposed event all link back to the one you posted. I spent about 30 seconds browsing the home page of that site, and I feel about 30 years dumber for doing it. And all I did was read the "headlines".

Oj Simpson has the knife he used as a murder weapon for sale for 5 mil btw, incase anyone is interested....

Yeah...real legit source you have right there...

Second...I looked at Stacey's twitter all the way back to the original comment and I see nothing about any of all of this BS you are spouting off as fact. But you can't even read your own shitty source correctly. It says he wrote her a note, but than she tweeted back to Mitt. I see no evidence anywhere to support any of that. I can't find a screen capture... nothing.

So let me suggest something to you... you already know what I'm going to say don't you??

Do not believe everything you read on the internet. Just because someone says it doesn't make it real. It doesn't make it fact, and it doesn't make it true. You know, maybe every credible news source just missed this one... but the liberal media would have eaten up this mistake with a spoon, knife, AND fork.

Oh and calling him names like Myth Robme only makes you look dumber than you just proved your self to be for believing the crap you posted.

Emailed whitehouse.gov last week and basically said the same thing which "hmm" said yet, after I sent it, I got to thinking that there may be some law against accepting the offer while President. Perhaps, someone else knows the answer to that question.

    • Stuart

Well if truly none of the money was to be pocketed by the president... and there is no crime committed here, its not extortion or blackmail... technically its just trump donating 5 million and obama releasing his records. Two separate acts...I don't know though. There are all kinds of weird and old laws you would never think of.

  • hmm...

First off: On the Trump offer - BHO ran on transparency, so, if there is nothing to hide, why not take Trump up on the offer and split up $5M to some private charities that could do so much with that money - especially with the holidays approaching? Seems like this would be a great opportunity to do some good, maybe sway some voters in the swing states and finally put all these ridiculous questions to rest.

  • Joshua Skains

Oh look, the race card. Shock. Was it racism when McCain was challenged for his Panamanian birth? Oh that's right, someone forgot that happened.

    • soylentgrin

Yes, birtherism is racism, and I'll tell you why:
When Goldwater was challenged, it was because the legal status of Arizona as a territory qualified for being a citizen was questioned.

When McCain was challenged, it was because the legal status of Panama as a US holding qualified for being a citizen was questioned.

When President Obama is questioned about his birth place, is it because Hawaii's legal status is being questioned? No? What exactly is being questioned then?

      • Stuart

maybe because his own bio in the harvard law review says "born in kenya"...just sayin

        • Mich012

harvard law review says "born in kenya"? does it now. and you know this how? fox news? grow a brain and turn off the television for god's sake. you come in here with your facts garnered from satire tv, comic books, and cracker jack boxes, and have the audacity to think you're better informed. you're about as dumb as donald when it comes to your politics, and that's really saying something.

          • Stuart

You can google the image! And of course I'm use to being told I'm wrong because my political views are republican and different from those that are liberal, so try another insult. Because how dare a tax paying, voting, contributing member of society question our beloved president... not like that is my right or anything... Hum or maybe it's because I'm a young white female. Who knows...

But you did your duty of the day to be mean to a republican so you can go back to watching msnbc now.

            • Mich012

Stuart, My sincere apology for the sharpness in tone, and for my choice of words. It was an off-the-cuff response to the very tired birther argument. It's old, and it's unfounded. Even Donald, who never knows when to stop, has given up the birther fight and has now moved on to "How could a black man get through Harvard Law School without it being an affirmative action situation? "Folks know he couldnt've done it on his own merit!" That's certainly a racist attitude (thus the article above) and it's insulting to intelligent folks who put the man in office (twice). You're certainly not stupid, just don't assume that folks "across the aisle" are any less intelligent because their politics are opposite yours. It makes them cranky. And, for what it's worth, Donald's not racist because he challenges the President. Romney certainly challenged the President and nobody's claiming he's racist. It is Donald's very thinly veiled contempt for the man, and his clearly racist approach with the President -- "You're not from around here, are you? Let me see your birth certificate. Not that one, the long form. How the hell did a guy like you ever get into Harvard? This smells like affirmative action to me!" Donald now declares that, "We are not a democracy...This is a travesty!" Donald is such a sore loser -- and if he's not racist, I'll eat my size 13 shoes!

              • Stuart

You know, I'm sure he is a racist...whatever. I'm just so sick of ALL of this discussion. Obviously if there was anything to find, it would have been found already.

Someone needs to write a article about how the two parties truly need to, physically go reach across the isle, shake hands, and get this county moving again. Moving in some sort of direction is better than being at a standstill.

Lets consider this the start Mich :) i'm sorry I told you to go watch msnbc...lol

                • Mich012

Stuart, On this, I agree with you 100%!!!

        • redsthread

Stuart, are you white and living in North America? Do you or your family have native american heritage? Are you Blackfoot? If no then you are an immigrant.

          • Stuart

oh please!!!! You have got to be joking right?? Yeah I get it we stole the land from the indians and on and on... hundreds of years ago when neither you or I were alive! Last time I checked I was born in the US, as were my parents, their parents and their parents before that. Let look up the definition of immigrant shall we?

A person who leaves one country to settle permanently in another. 2. A plant or animal that establishes itself in an area where it previously did not exist

I did not leave another country to come here, and obviously I am neither plant nor animal.

            So basically... you're wrong.

  • DeborahArantes

Racist and very very stupid. What a moron!

    • grassroot1

Look at what and who this POTUS is and where he came from
politically. But as he hides his tracks, it is not easy to do.
This is all you lefties have though, call race. But most conservatives
like myself would welcome an honest pro-American like Condi Rice
in the White House. OR, Rep. Allen West. A real pro-American hero
who WOULD uphold the constitution as opposed to ignoring it.

      • Lillian Ricketts

You mean the great document that codified people of African descent held captive as slaves of the founding great white fathers as 3/4 human.

        • Stuart

If that is what you see the constitution as, you need to go back to school. The 13th amendment freed the slaves... the constitution gives you ALL the rights you now enjoy as a citizen. As far as I can tell you weren't alive in 1865 (because that is the year the 13th amendment was passed, in case you didn't know) so you personally weren't ever counted as only 3/4 a person.

A little more history for you, so you're educated about it "less than a year after ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment, Congress used its newly conferred power to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1866, giving black citizens "the same right in every state...to make and enforce contracts, to sue, be parties, ...to inherit, purchase, sell, and convey real and personal property; and to the full and equal benefit of all laws and proceedings for the security of person and property as is enjoyed by white citizens.""

          http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/thirteenthamendment.html

There is the link I took it from in case you would like to learn a little more about the document that gives you every right you have today. I would do that before you go around bashing it.

  • Angie Torres

Trump, being Trump, is just looking for some more attention. Maybe he's in the market for a new wife, not getting enough attention at home; there are those good Republican values again. My 16 year old flat out said "He's Blackmailing the President on national tv". Only a rich guy can get away with that. The President is the President and he deserves the respect of the office. What are we teaching our children if we continue to behave and speak the way we do? All of you nasty people out there, when your kid is disrespectful to you and you can't figure out why, look in the mirror. Teach your Children Well - listen to it.

    • grassroot1

I*f you call asking for " transparency" black mail, you are truly being
devious and dishonest. What's wrong with asking for what all other
pres. candidates and sitting POTUS' reveal? Huh, this guy is especially
protected as he is favored, by the far left.

    • Stuart

Maybe your 16 year old shouldn't sit in front of the tv so much. Blackmailing is not what he was doing at all. Lets look up the definition of blackmail shall we?

      blackmail (ˈblækˌmeɪl)

      — n
      1. the act of attempting to obtain money by intimidation, as by threats to disclose discreditable information

      here is a second definition

the action, treated as a criminal offense, of demanding money from a person in return for not revealing compromising or injurious information about that person

I would say that Trump is more so trying to... entice maybe? I think that is a much more appropriate word than blackmail. In no context is that the right word to use or act to accuse him of. And yes only a rich guy could get away with what Trump did, because only a rich guy could actually back up his words and donate 5 million to a charity. The President deserves the respect of the office, but he has to earn the respect he is due. He has to prove that he is worthy of the respect that can come with being president. But that does mean that his actions or non-actions are not allowed to be questioned. That is the beauty of the power and position that is given and not given to him in the constitution.

  • Dale Wainio

If anyone believes that you can get in the White House without valid paperwork is an idiot. Is our government that inept that we can't figure that out? Use common sense people,it sounds exciting and maybe gives your life a thrill to think your in on the big secret. So the first black president has enough clout to pull of fake records and get to be president?Really? Too silly.

  • Rick Bowles

Liz...YOU are a racist. So is obama

    • Benjamin Dover

Rick: You are a retard. Ask Ann Coulter what that means.

      • Stuart

You aren't supposed to use words like the R word anymore Ben, it offends people...

  • The Truth

It is sad you hear people say President Obama's race is what got him elected. That is the most ignorant comment people can make. Were all other presidents elected because they was white? Contrary to what many racist people think, the office of the president does not belong to the white race.

Obama was elected because that was the will of God and will be re-elected because we all know he is by far the best candidate. Romney is a liar and all who are supporting him knows it. However, because of race or a few dollars, people are turning their heads and acting as if they forgot how this man was recording saying one thing to this group and another thing to the next group. If Obama's plan is his convention speech, at least it is the same plan. Not one plan for the rich in private to get support and another thing to a different group in public. Romney is the worst candidate for anything I have ever heard of. So it is clear that his race is playing a factor in him being a valid candidate for president is some people view.

    • grassroot1

There IS such a thing as truth. And I believe there is only one
truth to any situation. And if that is true, and I believe it is, then

McCain was born in PANAMA ....what more is there to say ? That both candidates were "born" out side of the US and thus intelligible? Well then have that discussion ... Frances, he is racist. Since you love The Donald so much, of course you can't see his racism. You're cut from the same crap he is.

      • grassroot1

What would you leftist robots have if this guy wasn't black?
        This is his, omummers', shield.

        • Suzanne Moore

I would have voted for Obama if he were purple. You ultra-right wingers just can't get your heads around the fact that most people of any race are wary of extremists. Our Tea Party Senate hopeful in Indiana said, "My idea of bipartisanship is for the Democrats to come over to MY way of thinking." DUH! Obama did great in his first term considering he had to deal with a House majority of the same mindset. At least the people of Indiana sent this one packing.

    • Benjamin Dover

What is not to love about Trump? He changes wives like most men change underwear. He is a vain, self absorbed strutting peacock. His bankruptcies and pattern of deadbeat borrowing are legend, and the condo complex that bears his name in NYC just fired his company as managing agent because of their poor job performance. He cannot bear being out of the headlines, and so engages in self promotion which is akin to self ridicule. He is a consummate bully and liar. Which of these attributes is your personal favorite?

  • Jim Spencer

And Lest I forget, GOD BLESS Donald Trump for daring to speak up and question something that is on millions of voter's minds!

    • MissCheevious

Absolutely!! HOW did they turn this into RACISM??

      • grassroot1

That's all they have. It comes out of their, festering, pores.
This is class warfare. Hmmn, sounds familiar doesn't it?

    • MissCheevious

Absolutely!! HOW did they turn this into RACISM??

    • Benjamin Dover

I wouldn't say it is on their minds .... more like up their asses.

      • osabung

        Exactly Benjamin!!! High Five!

      • Angie Torres

        Excellent response Benjamin!!

    • BlueCornMoon

RIGHT !! In this great country of ours even those MILLIONS OF RETARDS get to have their own leader & spokesman, thereby proving that money can't buy CLASS

  • Jim Spencer

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John McCain's birth was questioned!!!! Hilary Clinton tried to bring the issue to the front and was threatened!!!!! I am one of those people who would like to know for sure that Obama has not conned himself into the presidency. There are other qualified "Black" candidates, so get off of the race card! I am so sick of everything being blamed on racism! How about Alan Keyes or Alan West for president? Would that be racist that I might dare vote for one of them? At least Romney has actually worked at a real job before!

    • Lillian Ricketts

I say Barack Hussein Obama, a.k.a. Mr. President is a genius. His family is some kind of special to have orchestrated his rise to the highest office in the land. They must be proud, I am. No, neither Alan Keyes or West will do and you would not be racist for voting for either. I reject them both and choose BHO because we both are proud AFRICAN-Americans. I don't think Keyes or West even like black people. I am really not sure.

    • Benjamin Dover

Check out David Stockman's assessment of Romney, before you say he worked a real job. He invested money ... Other People's Money ... he never started a company, or had a business idea of his own. He bought up struggling companies, some of them were stripped & assets sold off, others had jobs shipped overseas to "streamline" the company, raise its value so it could be sold off. He created nothing, invented nothing. He "saved the Olympics" by getting the government to bail them out. He was a one term governor of a state that will go overwhelmingly for Obama, and his one signature piece of legislation there - universal health insurance coverage - has been completely disowned by him today. He has changed positions so many times he cannot remember what they are presently. His qualification for the presidency is that he believes he is entitled to it by virtue of his wealth. The only job he has held for the last 6 years is running for president. That is hardly a qualification for the job.

    • LeDoc

You ARE aware that being a college professor is a real job right? While it may be a rather thankless underpaid job, I assure you it IS a job. My spouse was a professor, I was amazed at how much work was involved in that field. So yes Obama has worked a real job. AS for Romney he has never been worried about money..he was born into privilege. He likes to talk about those "tough" early college days in his basement apartment to try and make you think he;s like the rest of us t it just isn't so. He never had to do a menial job.. never had to flip burgers or empty other peoples trash, he just sold off small portions of his stock portfolio until he got out and his Mormon pals bankrolled him after which he went on to be a high rolling thief. Just the fact that you actually state you are concerned that Obama "conned himself into the presidency" is sad. Think for a moment...you really believe that he was and is able to fool the entire intelligence community the world over? Give ME a break LOL!

      • grassroot1

Bull, obummer's qualification is he was a community organizer
with a radical agenda. Look at his appointed czars, marxists, self avowed commies, all socialistic driven. Bunch of kooks

    • BlueCornMoon

PLEASE list all the other qualified black ( why is it in quotes?) candidates. NOT Herman Cain, I hope. another GOP idiot
      with nothing to offer

    • Frances Riske

      Absolutely love Alan Keys !
Would vote for him in a heart beat !!

  • zizzer

Obama's race is what got him elected in the first place. Who ever hear of Obama before he ran for president? He had very little experince and has shown that in office The fact that our national debt went from 10.6 million to 16 trillion in 4 year should tell you something. That is a cold hard fact. With 4 more years in office we will be bankrupct and where will all the unemployed be along with the 46.2 million people in poverty. Folks we need a change.

    • Benjamin Dover

Ummm ... actually ... anyone who saw the Democratic convention in 2004 knew who Obama was ... he wowed the crowd, and that is what set him on his path to the presidency. Of course, you probably just thought he was there to serve drinks or shine shoes, so we can excuse your ignorance and/or stupidity. You probably believe that our country was doing just fine as we spiraled toward another Depression in 2008/09, after 8 years of Republican tax cuts, 2 wars, no job growth (guess all those tax cuts DIDNT create jobs then, eh?) .... yeah, the GOP never worried about all that debt until the black guy got elected. In fact, in Paul Ryan's entire legislative career prior to Obama's election, he authored only two pieces of legislation, one to rename a post office and the other to lower sales tax on arrows. Talk about a genius. Like all the rest, suddenly he becomes an expert on the debt. He must have been hit by lightning, or by a hammer ... inducing a sudden awareness that all those years the GOP was spending like drunken sailors, now that Obama was in charge, it was a crisis. The Wall Street bailouts, TARP ... all done under Bush, but blamed on Obama. The stupidity and lies are endless.

    • Rocketier

What about the man he replaced? Had he not been a white man from a privileged family, would he have made it to the presidency - like, on merit? It was pretty clear that whoever became president in 2008 was walking into a disaster. The disaster was years in the making, not just George W's. Reagan and Clinton definitely were big contributors. Obama has done far better with the presidency than George W, but he gets no credit from the right, which was obviously out to sabotage him from day 1. The party-first mentality does not bode well for our future, and I suspect that the Dems are headed in the same direction.

    • Stuart

"Very little experience" is throwing him a bone...he was barely a senator and when he was, most of that time was spent running for president. The mass, uneducated public needs to wake up to the fact that he doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

  • Stuart

Only a ignorant fool would write a whole article making up things and assuming they know something. Race? Are you kidding me? Playing the race card against whites is getting really, REALLY, old. Like one of the other comments said, who cares what color he is, he sucks at his job!! What color is he by the way? He may be half black, but hes half white as well... came out of a white vagina... so is trump racist against the white half too? Or is he smart enough to differentiate between the white half and black half?

These types of records are commonly released or dug up by the media or members of opposing political parties. "The first 43 Presidents were not subjected to the kind of stunts Trump's pulling." You know why??? They release these kinds of non-important records on their own! Medical records, college transcripts, taxes...all considered non-important records.

It was Obama that made it a big deal by continually denying the release of some of his records. We know he graduated... supposedly... who cares if you got a low grade in some class? It just seems awful shady when added to the other stuff he didn't want to release, throw in a unstable childhood and a deadbeat muslim dad who abandoned him and bam... this is what you get.

    • osabung

stuartalbeck--You're ignorant. Obama provided his Birth Certificate already. What more does The Trumpster want? He is taking it to a very low and very petty level, in hopes to arouse doubt in others minds who may potentially vote for him. He didn't ask Bill Clinton for his records to prove he is a citizen.

Your comment "They (previous Presidents) release these kinds of non-important records on their own! Medical records, college transcripts, taxes...all considered non-important records." is completely ignorant. Previous Presidents haven't provided these documents because previous Presidents haven't been hounded and harassed like our President. Trump is disrespectful and racist, and if you can't see that, you are, too!

      • Stuart

Look it up, most elected officials release this sort of information or make it available during a campaign. I'm sorry I don't talk out my ass and make things up, I actually research a little bit.

As far as what else Trump wants, I don't know I cant assume to speak for others, you'll have to ask him or wait for his next publicity stunt. Do I think hes a pompous yes, do I think his whole schtick against the president is racially driven? No I dont. That is my personal opinion, maybe it is, again you will have to ask him. Or you can research some and try to make an informed decision about the matter.

Look what it comes down to is that Presidents are always questioned, disliked and made fun of on SNL. It's not going to change with Obama, it won't change with the next president and so on. Conveniently Obama is HALF black so supporters always have a cushy corner to fall into when something is thrown at him they do not like. I'm sure if Romney gets elected his supporters will play the mormon card.

But this is America, its 2012, we are a melting pot of people and religions...but not everything is about race, unless people like you, and people like the lady who wrote this..."article" keep it that way.

  • Sidney Spencer

This is all about race. What President has been asked for his birth certicate? What President has been asked to show his college scores.
President Obama lost the first debate and people are saying how important that was.
President Bush lost all three debates to Senator Kerry and nobody said that would change there opinion of how they would vote. Perhaps some Americans were secretly looking for a reason not to vote for the President and they found it in one debate.
Thank God they do not want to do away with the seven games in hockey basketball or baseball.
I ask any and all Americans not to go on the apprentice to show the Donald racism will not be tolerated.

    • Benjamin Dover

All the morons who say Obama SHOULD produce his college records, are just as adamant that Romney SHOULDNT have to release his tax returns. It is hard to tell whether their words are coming out of their mouths or their a-holes. The stench makes me think it is the latter.

  • Patti Berry

This has nothing in the world to do with race. It is pointing out the fact that Obama, in his promise to America, said he would run a transparent government. Obama has done the opposite. He hid all his records that would properly vett for the office, he goes behind Congress to create laws (Executive Orders) instead of working with the proper channels. When questioned about events, he will not give answers, but will point fingers, blaming others for past events, Mr. Trump was/is giving him the chance to be honest for once and show America his history. If you want to talk about racism, look up the EO that was issued in July, strictly for "African-American" ensuring their education. Really? The EO should have been for ALL Americans, as not ALL Americans are treated equally in education. Obama showed his race card.

    • Lillian Ricketts

WHO THE F**K is Donald Trump to demand any damn thing from the president let alone "GIVE" him the chance to be honest". As for the EO ensuring African-Americans' education being racist...yes ALL Americans should have such assurance. Yet for centuries we African-Americans were denied that opportunity under threat of death. We have had to rely on special rules and regulations drafted after much protest and many times bloodshed to enjoy the "priveleges" whites have lived with because they are WHITE. When we lift our voices, more often than not, we are now being charged with "reverse-racism" or playing some god-damned card. Racism/white supremacy is a disease state that thank god above people of color all over the globe are beginning to innoculate themselves against through education!

    • osabung

"he goes behind Congress to create laws (Executive Orders) instead of working with the proper channels."

If the ignorant Repubs in Congress would actually work with Obama, he wouldn't have to go around them in order to get anything done.

"Mr. Trump was/is giving him the chance to be honest for once and show America his history."

Since when is Trump in charge of allowing the President a chance, for once, to clear his name and show American people his history? Who the hell does Trump think he is? Obama provided his Birth Certificate, which he did not have to provide. I can't ever remember seeing George Bush or Bill Clinton's Birth Certificate, do you? Trump is a racist man.

I dare you, to stop watching Fox News for a week, so you might actually get some actual news coverage that isn't skewed.

  • paulge1234

Black/white, 40 line comments below, stupid jokes on Trump - show f**n records, help charity/clear your name, what is wrong with your heads, people????

  • Kerry Lassiter

Poor Joe Pettis. He actually believes the bile that he spews. Can you imagine the mentality of someone who actually thinks that way? What I especially laugh at is how Poor Joe Bettis hasn't even a clue as to how pervasive racism is towards President Obama.

Can anyone imagine the same level of vitriol against Romney, a man whose religion espouses that all Mormons were gods on other planets before they came to earth, that they're in fact, future gods-to-be again of other planets when they pass on?

No one accuses Romney, a privileged white male, of harboring crazy ideas, ideas that, were an average person to espouse those same nut cake thoughts on the street, would be grounds for putting them in a nut house.

  • Christian_X

Who cares what color he is? HE SUCKS AT HIS JOB. So bad, in fact, that not even a single Democrat has voted for his budget plans, in 3 years and 6 months and counting. That, my friends, isn't leadership. He couldn't get macaroni and cheese to come together.

Racism is what GOT him elected - undeniable fact - but even that won't work twice. The 95% of blacks who voted for him last time have dwindled quite a bit. Why? Because once you're in office, the rubber has to meet the road.... and all Obama did was slam it in reverse.

As for Daniel's delusional comment, he can hammer away on that keyboard til baby Jesus comes home, but he's obviously blind to the fact that it was Republicans that drafted, driven and brought every civil rights amendment in history. All the Democrats ever did was develop a strategy to re-enslave them: "Free crumbs for life, as long as you don't ever dare try to bake your own cake! Just keep voting Democrat and we'll be sure you get your scraps." THat sure as hell isn't freedom.

But this isn't about racism; this is about money. Thinking it a good deal that the government should take it, waste 3/4 of it and give 25% back to the citizens - REGARDLESS of who ends up with it - is just plain ignorant. Name one thing ANY government has done better and more efficiently than the private sector. It'll never happen. Why? Because compensation for government workers is in no way tied to efficiency or outcome. No incentive, whatsoever, to do a great job. If you don't believe me, just look at everyone from the DMV to the guy who just blew 6 trillion and has absolutely nothing of value to show for it. The more the government takes, the less ALL of us have, to buy from each other; to create and sell to each other; to start our own businesses; to take care of our families; and yes, even to GIVE to each other.

This has nothing to do with race; it has to do with WASTE. It was nice having our first black president; all of America was proud of that, myself included. But next time, post up a GOOD one, because this one has been a complete and utter failure. All talk, no walk. He's an overhyped community organizer who has never built or run anything in his life... and it shows.

Every now and then, American can afford the luxury of a bit of irrational idealism; this is most definitely not that time. All we can't afford right now is to tell government to get out of the way so we can fix the balance sheet and work on the bottom line.

    • The Truth

It has everything to do with race. This president has accomplished many things, yet being black has blinded many who are reaping the benefits. Your local politicians are responsible many things the president are being blamed for. Donald Trump is a racist ignorant man who is upset because he never thought he would live to see a black man in the white house. Bottom line.

    • zizzer

I agree with every word of this.

    • Howard Freeman

If only more people in the media were brave enough to say, "he sucks at his job," we could actually move past being a racist country.

      • Lillian Ricketts

Hey Howard! There's a bridge for sale in Alaska real cheap if you believe that crap. This country is part of a global system of racism/white supremacy. If you have'nt read already, get a copy of Pat Buchanan's new book (Death of the West) for a provocative look at what concerns many white males in this country and Europe about the "browning of the planet."

  • Joe Pettis

I am tired of the liberal elite using the Race Card everytime they are in a losing position on an issue. The truth of the matter is. According to Obama owns words in his books "Dreams of My Father", He is not a natural born citizen, therefore unqualified to run for the office which he holds. There is also evidence in his book and other writings that he registered as a foreign exchange student. Taht's a felony. He is swron to uphold the law. Doesn't the law apply to him if he has violated it. What it's reacist to insist that a black man follow all the laws and rules because 200 years ago some one was a indentured. The real racist are the people perpetualting the myth that the 18th century still exists today. It does, in some African Countries and South Africa. The Blacks that are taking over are now killing the whites and taking their land. It's Racism on steroid overload. Racism revenge. That is what the Jessie Jackson's and Al sharptons, and New Black Panther's, the NCAAP are all about. Educating the new generation to hate the non-whites and to make sure they know they are disadvantaged. They don't want equality, they to rule through Racism Revenge. I for one have had enough being told that I am a racist. The groups mentioned above have failed the black yout and instead if instilling them with values to prosper, they have filled they minds and hearts with hate and the mentally that they are owed and deserve to be taken care of. They want to be Afro-Indians. Mr.s Obama, who the hell are you, just tell use and release the records that you have spent millions hidings. Somose that nothing to hide, doesn't hide it.

    • Louis Mitchell

YOUR A DISGRACE TO THE CORE! We are at war MARINE

  • Kurt Wayne

Then why doesn't President Obama just go ahead and get a "two-fer"? Release his passport/college records then happily accept "the Donald's" check an hour later? He'd get maximum precious positive publicity in this last week-and-one-half before the election and Trump's name would be a mile beneath the mud.

Or did our president indeed release these records and no one noticed?

    • osabung

If Obama actually gives in and gives Trump what he wants, he is bowing down to the idiot that requested it. Trump is a racist man with an agenda. Obama should not give him what he wants.

    • TheAngel

He shouldn't release a thing to DT; he shouldn't have even released his long form Birth Certificate to him before. DT should get a life and those that support his bigotry.

      • CAMaven

You're right- especially because it was a really bad forgery.l

  • Daniel Burford

i just read the most interesting thing, i had to turn around and ask my wife and she agreed with me, i asked her, if she had a time machine and could go back in time to what period would she go to and she answered that she wouldnt go back because as an black person this is the best time we can be in, we cant go back to the 1800,1900 or to the 30s.40s,50s,60s,70, at all those times we were treated like s&%t. what black person in there right mind would ever go back to that. now i understand why white males are voting for romney at a clip of 74 to 26 percent, it perfectly understandable, you want to go back to a more comfortable time that does not exist anymore. this is not a racist statement, it is just a statement of fact. this is probably the last election that the white male vote will be dominant. by 2016 texas will be a blue state just by the overwhelming number of hispanic votes that are there. White males you will finally have to make a educated choice of a canidate based on his credentals than on his skin color. i mean lets be truthful, mitt romney is all over the map and is a true flipfloper (the same thing you said you couldnt vote for Kerry) and gave us the truly stupidest president we have ever had in george bush. Romney is truly a desperate last attempt to keep white power. this man is a terrible canidate and each and everyone of you know this, he cant bring jobs, he export them, he has all the same bush people and will (if he ever got in office) would start a war the same way each and every recent rep president has done. you let the skin color of this man affect you in such a way that you refuse to see that he is an inferior canidate. you dont even look at the fact that ten of our sitting senators met at the begining of this man term and made an agreement to make this man a one term president and then set forth to block each and every major bill that this man wanted. this is unprecedented. we all know after the minnesota collapse of the bridge 4 years ago that our roads and bridges need to be rebuilt all across the country.this man sent this jobs bill to congress and they stalled it, these jobs would have made more jobs all across the country and then in conjunction made more jobs with these people working and buying in our economy. this is going to happen in the next adminstration no matter who wins and they will get credit for it. the great companies of america, right now are sitting on so much money that they have been told not to spend, not to hire, not to do anything till this man is out of office and i really cant believe it but they are doing it. but it all stops after nov 6. because no matter who wins this money will have to be spent if they want there company to grow. i really had to look at this, why would all these companies sit on so much money, till the reason could not be anything else. but its over now because after this election our economy is going to grow tenfold, no matter who wins..
so the question you as white males have to answer is which of these canidates you want running this country, a man who has straightned out the worst fiscal mess in my lifetime, or a man who NO one knows what the hell he would do because he doesnt know, dont vote by skin, vote by the direction this country is going. now if you do vote by skin color, enjoy it because this will be the last election that a majority of white males will control this country by the vote. you will have to in the future join in with hispanics and blacks to vote in the best canidate and not someone who will keep down or put out other races.
In 2016 i see a presidental ticket winning the white house of clinton as president and obama as vice president. they will win the white house and in my opinion make up one of the best adminstration we would have ever seen.
The only thing is the first names of the president and vice president will be Hilary and Michelle.

    • Lillian Ricketts

Thank you Mr. Buford for a refreshing post. You are on point!!! Let us pray that we as a people will awaken from the residual effects of yesteryear's racist legacy to the neoracism of today.. It is an exciting if not sobering time to realize that we still have work to do..we must be alert, vigilant, and self-educated

      • Dore Teichman

Cant you tell.. racism is dead. My problem with all this is not the supposed "race card", or even racism itself.. although that is flatly stupid - my point is that love him, hate him or otherwise.. Mr. Obama is The President. At that point he is no longer simply Mr. Obama, some black guy, red guy, blue, green or anything else.. he is The President Of the United States. There is a certain amount of respect for The President. Period!

    • osabung

"In 2016 i see a presidential ticket winning the white house of Clinton as president and Obama as vice president. they will win the white house and in my opinion make up one of the best administration we would have ever seen.

Nice. I definitely hope to see that ticket in 2016. :)

    • The Truth

Excellent points. Mitt is a liar and one would have to be blind and deaf to ignore it.

    • BlueCornMoon

One of the BEST POSTS EVER & THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH !! There are GOP forces so determined to sink Obama that if he discovered a cure for cancer, they'd find ways to ban it even if it meant letting millions die. And they'd still loudly proclaim that they're pro life. But wait ! They'd sneak & make sure they had it for themselves. So I guess they're pro the right kind of life: theirs. The whole GOP has been hijacked by extremists, mostly a segment of older white males who see their power & influence slipping away & who feel it's their God given right to own & rule this country. Brought up with a sense of white male priviledge/superiority & never having had to be considerate of racial, gender or cultural differences, it scares the bleep out of them to see the demographic changes brought on by immigration. They see Obama as the beginning of a slippery slope in their fall from power. They might actually have to learn to treat people of other races & cultures AS EQUALS !! OMG !! Progressive whites know this & they were the ones who voted for Obama. The others would put this country on a hellbound train to the abyss rather than see Obama succeed. That should tell everyone here that that 47% remark was no joke. He really meant it. A man who truly cared about his country's future & its citizens would never ever say such a thing.

      • CAMaven

This is interesting, because during the Republican primary season, a woman and a black man were leading at various times. It is only because an alliance of RINO's and Democrats took Herman out by innuendo that he didn't make it into the final round. He had huge support, including from the Tea Parties. Admit it- you don't like him because he's a Conservative.

Obama is the most anti-Constitutional, pro-Socialist "President" I have seen in my lifetime and that's saying a lot, since we have had bad ones from both major parties.

Most of the folks commenting here are so hard left and propagandized by the LeftMedia, that there's almost no common ground for discussion. I regularly read various media from both sides, but we're in Daily Kos territory here.

    • Amrita Moon

Daniel, your comment is one of the best and most nuanced I've read in an ocean of insults, haters, racists, etc. Another population that doesn't want to go back any further than right now is women. The Romney-Ryan ticket will throw women back so far, I can't even imagine how long it will take to crawl back. No to Ledbetter act, no to women's reproductive rights, no to controlling our bodies. R & R can say anything they want about allowing abortions in case of rape or incest or the life of the mother BUT THAT IS NOT THE PARTY PLATFORM. People of Color and Women of all Shades will gain with Obama - as far as I'm concerned all will lose with republicans and you're right - white men are hanging on by their fingernails. And even white men, unless they are in the 1% will be voting against their own interests just to keep a black man out of the white house. I, for one, am totally disgusted with all the nasty, mean, horrid comments I read after some of these articles. I was just at the place where I said I should know better than to keep reading them, and then I read yours. Thank you very much! And I am a white, middle-aged woman just to keep the record straight here. I agree - May I live to see a female clinton/obama ticket in 2016!!!!!

      • Shirley Roy-Poche

I too am a white middle-class woman and would like to voice my wholehearted agreement with the [immediate two] previous posts of Daniel and Amrita. Well put. Obama/Biden 2012 (hopefully with a Senate/House that will provide Congress to work for and go forward with the citizens of the USA. btw, "Yes" would be my vote for Clinton/Obama ticket in 2016. Right On!

    • Red Neck

      One Helluva Post Daniel!!!!!

    • Ericinstl

Your post has only one valid point -- and that's that 2012 is much better than any other time in history for blacks. Which is what makes it so baffling that blacks continue to cry and whine about racism. It only exists in tiny amounts and that fringe will always be there. The same way there is a fringe element in all sections of society. But, instead of just being above it -- we continue to hear this crap about "Oh, you're a racist". Enough already. Blacks are the only segment of this country that bring this crap up ALL THE TIME!!! You rarely hear any other race talk about it, even though I'm sure it exists in some form of them, too. Why? They don't play the victim card like blacks do. (Or at least most) I happen to work with two black guys that openly talk to me about how embarrassing it is that blacks continue to play the race card. Lastly, if white guys voting all for Romney, what the hell are 99 percent of blacks voting for Obama???!!!! When half the blacks vote for the white guy over the black guy -- give me a call. Till then, quit your nonsense.

      • osabung

Ericinsti-- "When half the blacks vote for the white guy over the black guy -- give me a call."

Seeing that this is only the 2nd election that blacks actually have a choice to vote for anyone who isn't white, leaves your comment credit-less and nonsense. I, too, hate the race card being used unnecessarily, however I call it like I see it. I'm white, and Trump is racist, with an agenda, and lots of money. He is used to getting what he wants because money is power, and he's got a lot of both. Being that he only gets one vote in this election, strips him from his power because, unfortunately for him, he can't buy more votes, which thus leads us to his last resort of trying to convince others of his ways, by "buying" his last chance to obtain doubt in those minds that can help him vote his way. Thus being his $5M proposal. The man is shameless, disrespectful and ignorant. Obama's given his Birth Certificate, which was way more than enough. Shows how powerless Trump that he has to pull at straws during the homestretch before the election.

      • zizzer

Exactly I never think about Obama until the blacks keep bringing it up. I just know he is one sorry president.

      • Ida Byrd-Hill

White people always talk about how racism no longer exist. What a joke. It never left America. We have just fought so hard to break through barriers. lynching has turned into prison. Jim Crow has been replaced by failing schools crushing millions of children of color. The tactics gave changed but racism remains

        • Lillian Ricketts

Think about that for a minute Ida. WHITE people say racism no longer exists....there is a presumption of the power and/or privelege to determine/declare racism's presence or lack thereof! More specifically you or I as people of color (inferior) do not possess the intellectual acumen to recognize the beast that lurks on or about our property/lives!!! No evidence, no videotape, "eyewitness" account or experiential episode will ever suffice on its merits. It is and always has been about power.

      • Mel Brennan

Uh...vote for the white guy is precisely what black people have done since they died for and won the right to vote. The only nonsense posted here is yours. "You rarely hear any other race talk" about racism...the very fact that you think that, from your limited perspective, you can even make this statement lays bare the framework of white supremacy from which you try to spring...move on; the nation is. But not just beyond the frame on race that has empowered whites for 4 centuries, but the frame on power. But don't fear; the power shift doesn't mean whites being treated the way they historically treated others. It means looking out for the most vulnerable with each decision. It means evolving everything.

        • osabung

Mel Brennan--You are spot on! I am white and I agree 100% with every word you said. The white men are struggling to hold on to the superiority, they believe they are entitled to It's sad so many people in this country can't see past our President's race to find that he is a good man, that makes decisions based on evolving our country to a better place. Or maybe, just maybe, that is the problem. The Trumps of the world can see how effective and influential Obama is, and are scared senseless of being stripped of their power, when one day they won't always have the upper hand, and everyone will have a level playing field. I pray that we can one day have a country where everyone truly is treated as equal as we were created.

      • Ron Johnson

        Eric,
All of you God fearing people have nerve. Think about all the devastation that this government has done to the world in the last 70 years(Hiroshima,Viet Nam,Civil Rights and many more) you think that your people are saints and will never do anything wrong and they are honest and truthful. Think again. You know what you are. A fool.

    • LancePlays Wordswithfriends

Daniel, I agree with everything you wrote, except for one thing: you make no allowance for white males who understood all of this from the moment Obama was elected. I am a white male and I recognize the following:
      1. Bush was the worst president in my lifetime going back to Eisenhower.
      2. Obama's term has been sabotaged by Republicans who are guilty of, let's call it what it is, treason.
      3. Romney is a slippery candidate who comes from a slippery faith tradition.

      And I predict...

      4. Obama will win re-election, the economy will recover smartly, and Obama will receive undue credit for a vibrant economy, just as he received undue blame for a moribund economy.
      5. Hillary Clinton will be one of the best presidents in American history, but Michelle Obama will decline to serve as Vice President.

      • Ericinstl

You're quite a dreamer. After the failure known as Obama, there will probably never be another black President EVER. This guy has ruined it for the rest of blacks that may have had an actual shot of being a good leader.

        • Dore Teichman

The guy to managed to keep GM in business is hardly a failure. Remember.. the economy was handed to him by a bunch of old, stupid, arab connected white guys who for 2 generations ran the country like a kingdom. Now.. so there is no confusion.. I'm a white guy- I also work- Romney would have continued the Bush encouragement of sending jobs offshore.. Obama has not managed to curb that.. yet.. but he will.

        • osabung

Ericinstl--"You're quite a dreamer. After the failure known as Obama, there will probably never be another black President EVER. This guy has ruined it for the rest of blacks that may have had an actual shot of being a good leader."

Your words hold only racist nonsense. If that were the case, after Bush, we'd never have a white President again because he ruined it for every other white out there. How dare Bush go and ruin the white man's shot at ever being President again?! The problem with closed-minds? They're small.

        • BlueCornMoon

After the failure known as Bush, there will probably never be another white President EVER. This guy has ruined it for the rest of whites that may have had an actual shot of being a good leader.
Makes as much sense as what you said.So since, according to your logic, Bush & Obama have ruined it for their respective races, let's start checking out the Asians,Latinos, East Indians Middle Easterners,South Sea Islanders, Africans, & other immigrants. I teach at a multicultural school & there are some really brainy kids in those categories. So lets sit back & watch the unevolved scared older white men start devising ways to disenfranchise all of them & shut down immigration. What a foot in mouth comedy show that would be; even better than Trump's idiotic behavior & those stupid backpedalling remarks trying to erase the dumb rape remarks by the Romney crew.

        • TheAngel

If that is true; then there are a lot of shallow white people. Because if Bush did not ruin it for other whites presidents, certainly Obama should not ruin it for other black presidents. If that happens, it is simply because of racist thoughts.

  • rodalinda

If we want to talk color, Donald Trump's would be orange, if we are to trace the ancestry of people of such color, I bet you anything it would be the continent of Africa as well. Barack Obama is a pride to any color or race, he is a brilliant intellectual with a beautiful brain and attitude, he has already made a big difference to the world, what does Trump has to offer except his vulgar attitude about every aspect of life from money to woman, to his classless hotels.

    • osabung

Donald Trump is orange!!! Love it, rodalinda. You read my mind.

    • Ericinstl

I'm sorry I may have just puked a little when reading that Obama is "a brilliant intellectual". LOL So brilliant that he sucked so much in school that he can't release his college transcripts. The man is a fraud.

      • osabung

Erisinstl--You mean, Obama is so brilliant that he went to Harvard Law. Ever heard of it?

      • Amrita Moon

Yes, he was so brilliant that he was elected editor of the Harvard Law Review and believe me if he were lying about that, Harvard would have outed him in a New York minute. He doesn't need to show transcripts to prove anything to someone like you. Be sure and clean up your mess.

      • TheAngel

He doesn't have to release anything simply because a bigot calls for it; who is DT, God? I think not.

  • MaxT

I don't give Donald Trump a second thought. Never have, never will. He's a buffoonish distraction that the media keeps foisting upon us. That being said, I believe it's the author of this article that's racist. Insisting Barack Obama is "black" when he's of a diverse and mixed ancestry means the author is more concerned with race than of innate humanity. When are we going to be able to see past color and race? Truly sick.

    • Ericinstl

Probably never as long as blacks play victims. They cry racism but can't explain to me how 99 percent of blacks voting for Obama instead of (the white guy) Romney is NOT racist. It only is racism when it's against them. Pitiful.

      • osabung

Ericinstl--How about we drag your butt to Africa and force you to be a slave to the African people for 245 years. Sounds like you could use some sense. I do not like when people play the race card when it is not valid and holds no bearing. There are times when it is used excessively and for reasons with motives to distract from the truth. But that is clearly not the case here. This is racism, and Trump is racist. It sounds like you need a good beating of Hard Knocks, to pound some sense into you. Maybe that will give you a different perspective of others, which starkly contrast the privilege and power you've gotten while living in your little bubble. Don't get me wrong, I'm white, and have been fortunate to not have to experience firsthand living in a world where I'm perceived as inferior. I just have the ability to understand that others had been stripped of their humanity and freedoms, solely based on their skin color. Their skin color. That was not okay then, and is not okay today. I don't know how judging anyone on anything other than a person's mind, and heart is acceptable.

And one more thing, no one said Romney is racist. Why should they vote for him, just because he's not? There seems to be some holes in the way you think, clearly by the points you make. Your logical thought process isn't very logical.

      • Catherine Chastang

Maybe because Romney is/was a bishop in a church that did not let Black men be bishops until 1978.

    • RossP

Seriously? Obama himself identifies as black. If the man wants to identify as black, he's black.

    • Vast Shadow

If you ever watch Trump during his lil lectures he sits forward or to the side and his mouth never moves. Its his wallet who is taking and making him slant that way.

  • Michael Thomas

Donald Trump image has come a long way and it is sad to see this man through the 80s, 90s, and now through 2012 to just continue to throw shame on his image. What Donald Trump brings into question more is not Obama's citizenship, but Donald Trump's immature and circus way of handling whatever he thinks is the right thing here. How many times must this man appear to be this stupid? For this man to claim that back when Obama was born, so many people falsified birth announcements, then why has this sitting president, President Obama become the poster child of these acts? If Trump is the crusader against past trendy acts, then Trump needs to answer questions like, why is it that he has never questioned any other President about their birth certificate. Why has Donald Trump not questioned Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush, Bill Clinton, George W Bush about their birth certificates? Why is he not consistent with the pressure? Why does he pop up, then go away, only to pop up again with nothing new? This man's name should be "Knat Trump". Go away Knat! Donald Duck is about to sue you for ruining a good name. This is events by Trump are nothing more than class warfare at its finest. Obama has overstepped his place and Trump has made it his sole responsibility to remind him of his place. Trump really does a disservice to his lineage. Trump is a 2nd generation American at best, yet he has the audacity to attack President Obama. President Obama has provided the necessary papers publicly. Government officials have backed him, vetting by the FBI has backed him, then why does Trump continue on so. Surely he is getting into legal liable/harassment waters here.

    • osabung

Great post, Michael Thomas. I definitely agree with you.

Trump has nothing, but money and power. Coming from money and power Trump gets what he wants when he wants it. He isn't used to being so powerless. With only having one vote in this election, he has to "buy" as many votes as possible, by putting doubt about Obama, in as many minds he can reach in the homestretch. His white superiority is slipping, and he is fighting a fight he's never fought before. He is pathetic and it's sad that people actually believe his merit-less words.

What's funny to me is, Repubs say Obama's campaign is merely trying to smear Romney in place of speaking on his agenda for his next term. And yeah, in addition to providing us with his plan for re-election, he has smeared the guy, which isn't too tough when your opponent is Romney. Romney doesn't need to try and smear Obama because the entire Republican party has been doing that these past 4 years, with Trump, Limbaugh and Coulter as their head cheerleaders. This is a desperate attempt to buy any last vote they can possibly get before election day. With all of Trumps resources and power, if in fact Obama wasn't telling the truth, (although he is), surely he'd be able to get the dirt he is desperately trying to find. Only problem is, you can't find the "truth" if the "truth" isn't true.

    • Louis Mitchell

I just keep trying to figure out what donald chump has to be upset about ... great post

    • Ericinstl

Hilarious. Maybe do a little actual research as to why he is seeking those transcripts instead of just reading MSNBC's website and Huffington Post.

      • osabung

Erisinstl---Because Fox News has got the truth, right? You are what is wrong with our country.

      • Ron Johnson

You do the research. Did you ask the last President where he was born. Btw your guy, John Sununu: Please look at my research of him

Sununu was born in Havana, Cuba, the son of Victoria (née Dada) and John Saleh Sununu, an international film distributor of Rûm Palestinian descent[1][2] who belonged to the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem.[3] His father grew up in the Ottoman Empire's Mutasarrifate of Jerusalem in Palestine and his mother was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, as part of the mass exodus[where?][not in citation given] of Ottoman subjects seeking a better life abroad.[4][5]

Is not an American born in Cuba.(Communist) Not White, Palestinian and Hispanic. Wow this guy has nerve.

  • Larry Kenney

I am so sick of Donald Trump. I am about the same age and he is an embarassment to our generation. I don't really know how much my feelings are shaped by simple envy but I do know I didn't have the incredible luck to be born into big money. I don't know how much my animosity is affected by the fact that while donny was excelling at Fordham some of us were getting wounded in the jungle. I do know I do not like this guy and would gladly sponsor his egoectomy. He is an ass who has the money to get away with bieng dumb on a national level. In Marine Corps boot camp we would have called him a sniveler and that would have been the good part.

  • Chuck Waid

None of this matters. All that matters is that everyone vote for anyone except a Democrat or Republican. You want change? Bounce them all, they are all sellouts and idiots. Get rid of every single Democrat and Republican from office, PERIOD! Choose a Constitution Party, a Justice Party, a Green Party, or a Libertarian, anything will be better then these clowns that have cornered the market for too long now. They are not even opposed to one another it's a show. Wake up Sheeple!

  • Dick Crossman

Odumbo is only half black , he is half white .

  • carlgottstein1

Obama is hiding his past for a reason. Why? Democrats seem reluctant ask, so Trump did. Why should he be remain un vetted? 'Cause he is black? Now that's a racist position.

    • Lillian Ricketts

Again, who the f##k is Donald Trump, or you for that matter?!

      • Stuart

It doesn't matter who is who... that is the beauty of the position of the president, he is not out of the range of questioning by the citizens of the United States.

    • osabung

Carlgottstein1--How the hell is Obama hiding his past? Because you, Trump and the rest of the world weren't there to watch the man grow up? You didn't live in Hawaii or attend Harvard while he attended, so that means he didn't live in Hawaii or attend Harvard because you didn't see it happen with your own two eyes? The only thing that would have mattered is if Obama wasn't born in this country, however Trump can't harp on that anymore since Obama provided his Birth Certificate. The long from Birth Certificate that the state of Hawaii has confirmed is legitimate. He didn't even have to share that with us. He's already been checked out by the appropriate channels, which don't include Trump, the rest of the Republicans, or you. There is no valid reason Obama needs to give anyone his College records and application or his Passport records and Application. It's absolutely nuts!

Trump should take that $5M and donate it to charity without turning it into a circus, and a last attempt at persuading some votes his candidates way. He clearly has his own agenda in his heart of hearts, boasting to throw out this $5M like it's peanuts (which it is to him), while charity organizations that actually do good are struggling. His heart bleeds money, and nothing more.

    • Ron Johnson

Well, you said he was hiding is birth certificate he showed then now he is a crappy student. Can crappy students be President of the Harvard law class. Wow they must have hide all this stuff for years knowing he was going to be United States President. WOW
      YOUR A SAC(SLKFJJ FJ

    • RossP

His past has been recorded in excruciating detail. What are you going on about?

      • Ericinstl

Bull. HE wrote about his past. When other people write about it it's always dismissed as racist or some conspiracy by those evil Republicans.

        • Lillian Ricketts

Quit whining...many republicans are evil co-conspirators in blocking any effort by the POTUS to move forward.

    • Danny Vinson

Where does this stupid statement come from? What from his past has he hidden? H e has revealed more than any president I can recall.

  • diablo135

The Donald is, as usual, just trying to get air time. I think he may be clinically insane. That being said, why does the left play the race card for everyting? It's past old, it's now aggrevating.

  • Hugo Guzman

President Obama has been vetted numerous times by different and very serious organizations, including the FBI when he was elected Senator. You do not go to Harvard and become one the Law Review editors, and then is asked to teach Constitutional Law because you lack intellectual credentials. What Trump does is plain racism, he is suffering seen a superior intellect, and black, as the President of the United States. Trump needs to embarrass somehow the President so he can feel better about himself. Trump might found out that the President finished Suma Cum Laude his law degree, and has traveled to countries that he does not know even exist. Will that put Donald to rest? I think his on the pipe.

    • Ericinstl

Obama was a crappy student. He's not some brilliant intellect that all of you kool aid drinking liberals think he is. It's all a sham. And you losers all fell for it.

      • Louis Mitchell

um .... no ones his transcripts (EXCEPT HARVARD) AND HERE YOU ARE ERICINSTL telling the world he was a poor student .... CAN i assume you applied to HARVARD ... course not would have been a waste of time

      • Ron Johnson

How do you know did you go to Columbia, Harvard Law school and was told by the Professors. Or was it DT, who's father was wealthy and gave him everything like DT gives his kids. Lol you are funny stupid guy.

      • TheAngel

Oh, can you give us the details from the records you have secured Ericinstl; Obviously you know something we don't.

  • lj3869

Racism is a very old argument that gets used when you have no other defense.. Come up with something a little more believable... That is just stupid.

  • lj3869

Why won't the President come up with his college application and birth certificate for his favorite charity? Sounds like a deal to me.. Unless he has something to hide...

    • enicholas08

^ lol ^ - 8 years ago the President trumpeted not negotiating with terrorists/various Islamic leaders because that would be weak and counterproductive and people backed him 100%. Yet now people (and YOU) think it is worth the President's time to negotiate with Donald Trump when this man, who clearly has more money than he knows what to do with, should be donating to the charities he mentioned anyway. If he already does then he should do more because it's obvious that he can. If it was a waste of time to sit down with world political leaders that were against us...do not ask President Obama to now humor the phobias and conspiracy theories of a wealthy loud-mouth. Be objective, please.

  • basittest

    I like his hair.

  • auggiedoggy

Hillbuzz.org, regarding that comment on Obama being cool vs. Romney being square.
Read the website. What's with Obama golfing with all those young male aides all the time. And what's with that guy in Hawaii that Obama visits for a 20 minute workout, the one who was picked up for soliciting a male prostitute?

    • dan3000

So auggiedoggy responds to Trump's racism with homophobia and disinformation. Typical of the ad hominem style of the right, which Trump practices and auggiedoggy apes. Filled to the brim with lies, the dittoheads go on and on, repeating them, hoping something will stick. It is the familiar practice of THE BIG LIE-- the larger the lie, the more likely people are to believe it, if it is repeated often enough. The idea was championed by Hitler and Goebbells, and is now standard practice for the Republican party and their Hate radio.

  • auggiedoggy

People who said they'd leave the country if Bush was re-elected didn't leave. So that makes us even I'd say.

    • Michael Harper

I left the day after the election and lived in Amsterdam for eight years...and voted by absentee ballot for Obama in 2008. I got to miss the last 4 years of the worst president ever from 2004 to 2008, and didn't pay taxes for four years that would have supported his agenda.

      • Louis Mitchell

Sorry ... I 've read so much horse rubbish in this tread that I glazed over and thought you were saying you left due to the presidents policies ....... for those who will call me a hypocrite ... I say - apples and oranges there were ACUTAL reasons to differ w/ Bush

      • Louis Mitchell

what a patriot you are ..... lil harper = PATHETIC

  • auggiedoggy

Great article. Still, Obama won't take it up and prove him wrong.. Guess that 5 million will go to some racist organization. That'll teach the Don a lesson.

  • Troy Kelsey

Awesome, thought provoking editorial Liz. Well done.

    • Troy Kelsey

That is just dangerously hilarious. I almost choked on ice because I was drinking something and just didn't see it coming... Colbert never fails.

    • Liz Dwyer

Oh that Colbert...how does he keep a straight face?

      • Vast Shadow

Colbert was smart up until he went just for popular opinion... Now Colbert is doughy--doesn't say things to be intellectual, but to boost his ratings.
Steve Colbert got kicked out of a senate panel he was invited too, and then attempted to blame his writer for his asinine speech.

Jon Stewart from the daily show has finally seen that -- Its better to be right then just have a few extra ratings. So he has finally gotten more politically-correct.
I thought the Bill O'Rielly and Jon Stewart lil debate was funny. O'Reily follows statistics but unlike Stewart, O'Reily runs off of political assessments and mainly the cause and effect from them. Stewart runs off popular opinions, but addresses them with substance.

Politics are pretty tedious and some parties like fool people using ignorance... If they can get one person saying it, they will try to get a whole bunch of people saying one thing and that is used to help boost someones statistics. An the Racism `card... Is from the Obama Administration. You can look around and just notice Obama did a bad job--by either comparing Obama with another president or just looking at what prices of food was 6 years back--there is more evidence to see Obama did a poor job.
Then, you have Obama trying to blame other presidents.

Along with the many upgrades in liposuction procedures, laser device liposuction takes it one step further and offers improved skin tensing, less damage to the nearby cells during the process and in turn less recovery time publish process. Costs for http://www.smartlipo.com/smartlipocost.html are generally a little higher than those of other modern liposuction procedures techniques but after considering in the considerably reduced recovery time associated with laser device liposuction procedures the cost is well worth it.

  • rready4198

I just called it racism on another page. These people need to leave the country if they do not like President Obama. All of the insults he has endure because of racism. He will not say it but I will. I remember every election since 1960 and have never heard such foolishness in my life. All the money that is being spent could have solved some of the problems this country faces after having 8 years of Bush/Chaney!

President Obama has not lie to the American Public, he does not cheat on his wife, he is a good father, he has saved so many from being excluded from health insurances by doing away with preexisting conditions. A college student can be cover under their parent health insurance until they are 26, seniors can receive yearly health check-up, he saved the American automobile industry and he killed Osama bin Laden when George Bush had to catch his self from saying, "I do not give a s_ _t about him and Mitt Romney said, "I would not move heaven and earth to find him." This man successfully struck this country like NO one else has ever done and they did not care if he was caught or not?

Examine why you feel the way you do about President Obama and I bet if you write it down on a piece of paper you will fine that you are a racist!

    • AMAZED

I hate to tell you this, but if the reason you want him in office because of Obamacare...you will be very surprised to see that you will be paying MORE for your Doctor visits, etc. because of it. Since WHEN were the poor left without medical anyway? They always have received treatment without health insurance.

      • Amrita Moon

I'm so sick of hearing conservatives say the poor always receive treatment because they can go to the ER. Actually, that's what drives up costs. The ER is only for acute care. If someone goes there with a heart attack, yes they will be seen, but how will they receive the long-term care they need? Not for free, you can be damn sure. And that goes for any chronic illness that has acute episodes. Where in hell do you all get the idea that the poor are always cared for? Not where I live. And I'm already paying MORE because I'm self-employed and don't have a group plan. Everyone deserves to have a health care plan in place.

    • Leroy611

One: why is it with people like you that everything is racism.....why can you all not understand he your president is breaking this country with all his "green" bs and his ACORN SEIU crap.....he can't get a budget not in three years and yes the entire senate was racism as they voted 94-0 against his budget and really the day is too short to get into this...quick drinking the kool-aid and see what kind of radical he really is......people like you are scary

      • auggiedoggy

It's easy to palm off personal responsibility instead of, you know, liWORKING for a living, they prefer to make a living off the working class. And when you don't fold under to every demand for things they're not even entitled to, you instantly are labeled a racist. Someday, we'll counter this stupid comment. People are tired of being labeled for calling out stupidity, laziness and mooching off the rest of us.

      • Liz Dwyer

Leroy611--Well, I happen to like "green bs" since I don't enjoy breathing in smog-filled air or drinking water that's so toxic you can light it on fire when it comes out of the tap. However, I completely understand that some people are cool with those things despite their cancer-causing side effects. I can respect that choice. But there's a big difference between talking policy and disagreeing with Obama on that and claiming that the man only got accepted to--and got good grades at--Occidental College, Columbia University, and Harvard Law School because of affirmative action. There's a difference between disagreeing on policy and demanding that he prove he was born in the U.S. And, for the record, people like me happen to have white friends and relatives that let us know all the racist conversations they hear and emails they receive. You know what's actually scary? How much hatred some folks have in their hearts simply because of the color of the President's skin.

  • lorakolodny

@VastShadow - Interesting that you attribute so much power to just one man when there's an entire Congress at work.

    • auggiedoggy

At work. Have you seen the headlines lately. What work. More like kindergarten, name calling and spitballs.

  • LindseyJulen

I'm glad that you have faith in our President, GOOD. I do, too! Donald Trump is an insufferable ass. The fact that he feels like he has the power and the authority to challenge the leader of our country like that is devastating to me.

Its not at all racist. Most of the animosity Obama gets is from him screwing up the economy by all his budget cuts. While rich people were like -- Oh taxes are a bit high... The working, middle, and poverty class americans were starving. Losing jobs, having banks foreclose on homes... Needing to remortgage their home.

I know how many rich people can say -- OH its just racism. BS... It is not, if you were poor or even close to being low-income. You would be very-very angry.
Rich don't have the slightest clue of what it takes to get medical care at middle income level. Rich people have doctors come to them...
Rich people don't know what it is to struggle with bills... They don't know what its like to live without electricity, because they lost a job in the oil refining plant that closed down, and they couldn't pay the bill.

The poverty class person, is who put Obama in office... An guess what, Obama done pissed them all off.

I have friends that work in fracking industry, its a division of Natural gas well drilling. After Obama made the budget cuts--millions of people were laid off in cluding my friends. In industries that orientate around the oil & gas industry. Not just petroleum oil but natural gas as well.
Many trucking companies got shut down also, and laid off employees because--guess why--the trucking companies could not afford the gas to ship things.

Obama pissed all these people off that are in middle and lower class... The same people that voted for him. Rich people don't notice anything, because they to busy paying some guy to whipe their ass.

So sure, its easy for a rich person to not realize a f-n thing. They don't ever have to wait in line at the emergency room or look for a job... It all goes to them.

Donald Trump... heh... Isn't he the `voice of the rich people club? The guy who will make political stabs so it doesn't denote any of the people prodding him to say stuff.

    Needs better writers, that guy...
Either way, some people would care to see Obama's birth certificate or pass port, but more would rather him just not be in office for making poor decisions. I don't hate Obama... I just think Obama has made many-many-many-many STUPID decisions. An its been even more pathetic with Obama blaming everyone else. But at least he fooled the rich people -- Its all about racism. HAH. *claps*

Ol' trump does have a lil point though... Transparency and Obama Administration has been complete opposite. Hiding the real reasons and blaming others for why USA went into recession... Not assessing and publicizing his foreign policy that has given china and other countries USA assets. Not publicizing how much Obamacare will toll onto the USA debt, but at least Romney addressed it. Obama hasn't even tabled and margin what cuts he has planned to make... Romney, GOP, and congress have publically declined Obama in the `new budget cuts -- Then Obama turns around saying he can make everything better but can't cause Congress wont let him.

Obama shouldn't be in office, not because he may be from another country -- I don't care if he is from another planet. Obama is a good person and a great speaker, but Obama makes poor decisions and then turns around and blames everyone else for his decisions he made.

VastShadow: Wow, you sure know a lot of words! Too bad you can't put together several hundred of the ones you used to make a valid point. There is literally nothing you said that is true.

      • Vast Shadow

I'm sorry that is so difficult for you to understand... Maybe if I had a bunch of smaller sentences, a graph that was in bright colors, and a full illustration... It would connect and make sense for you.

        Obama never made budget cuts?

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GN58upsHli0

Get your mom or dad to explain what Obama is saying, when you have twouble understanding -- All those words Obama says.!

    • Leroy611

      couldn't have said it better

      Ummmm....whaaaat????

    • Aaron Hutson

Obama's budget cuts? What have you been smoking?

    • vegas14mwz

Screwed up that darned economy with his budget cuts, huh?
Fox news watcher? Anyhow, just wondering...how exactly does one get publicly (that's how you really spell it) declined??

      • Vast Shadow

Oh, I guess you are the 99% huh ? Wall street controls the world with a bunch of numbers and exchanging making high taxes.
        Its not Obama right... LOL

I think everyone can agree that there are still race related issues in this country. When you have a Legislator in Arkansas that believes black people should be thankful for slavery, not to mention the Congressman we have all grown to love that believes women's bodies can repel rape semen. It is safe to say that there are still some backward thinking people in this country. 1. I think there have been some democrats that have used the term "racist" a little too loosely. I believe this because although the person may be racist or may have said something with an undercurrent of possibly subconscious prejudice, I can say from experience (being black and having used that term) that using that word outright often eliminates a chance for many people to have a conversation. Nobody wants to be called that term. It can conjure massive amounts of guilt/defensiveness that inhibits an intellectual conversation. Sometimes the person does not fully understand what they have said and didn't intend offense. And sometimes it isn't racist...I've witnessed a lot of people say and do shitty things purely out of our modern day roid-rage on political party loyalty. 2. People who brush away the use of the term "racist" in the belief that is a bygone concept are also preventing serious discussion and are also pretty uninformed. I'd say that everyone is familiar with institutionalized racism, the kinds of things people saw throughout the majority of the 1900s; laws that withheld rights from black people and outspoken discrimination. However, I think that many people (mainly non-minorities and some minorities) are not familiar with slights or prejudice that is under the rug. More than half of the people in this country have not had to once think about whether or not someone was treating them a certain way or speaking to them a certain way because of their appearance growing up. I am friends with a lot of white people, and when one of my white, male friends, one of my best friends, too, who has grown up in predominantly white systems his entire life, tried to shut me down about a conversation on race, I was honestly pretty offended. He very well could have been right, he very well could have been wrong. Yet to sit and say, "psh that is not racist, that is such an old argument," as many of you contributors have stated above, indicates to me that you are not even willing to have the discussion when you most likely have not experienced injustice or maybe even just felt uncomfortable being in the hue of your skin for one day in your life. I have been privileged to grow up in the era that I have. The best testament to this that I can think of is the classic time machine question. If you could go back in time, which time period would you go to?...I never fully understood until college (my current position) that this question kinda sucks ass if you're anything but a white male, and believe me this does not come from a place of hatred or jealousy. It is simply an honest realization. This is the best time period for any minority, whether it is religious doctrine, race, or sexual orientation, in which to exist. And for people, like many Tea Party members, to speak of the good old days and how Obama is destroying that and the fabric of America and everything we once loved and thought true, and when his credibility is questioned every step of the way, as it is now by Mr. Trump...one (a minority) can't help but feel uncomfortable. Sorry this has been so long winded.

In summation, overusing the term "racist" is a double-edged problem. It shuts down people's ability to have a discussion and can often be very insensitive. It has a time and place. Also, if someone like Liz Dwyer, who is a super intelligent person that does her homework and is of a minority makes a case for discrimination - simply telling her that she is lazy in her conclusion because it's "an old argument" is 1,000,000 million times more lazy, especially if you have not walked a mile in her shoes. Have a discussion, people.

Did you even read my original post? I basically said, people don't hate Obama for racism. Its because they hate Obama for they had many problems, because of him in office.
Obama hacked on the budget and it put USA in a recession.

            You should paraphrase better.

Slaves? Go read the Bill of Rights... Slavery was a punishment back in the 1800s. Indians had it worse then any other race in the Americas. But you could be white and still be a slave.
Slavery wasn't originally started in America ... Its a World wide tradition, every country had slavery. Africa evenly sold their natives(African-Indians) to slave traders in Europe.

Back in 1960s black people weren't repressed. White people and Black people paid the same low wages income. All slaves(not just the black ones) have been free since... Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln wasn't around in 1960.

Women had it far worse in beyond 1960s. There was a time, a female could not own a house, own property, have their names on bills, they could not vote. There was a time females would be seen as mearly objects and just slaves, in the USA.

People do not hate Obama cause he's black... Obama has made some poor decisions in office. You don't notice it unless you are middle to low income. If you RICH, you think it all racism.

            • Jeremy Cohen Hoffing

"Back in 1960s black people weren't repressed". You ever hear about something called the Civil Rights Movement? You have a lot of history to catch up on.

              • Vast Shadow

Oh your right... Civil right movements... Of the counties that were white-only but some black people were wanting to live there. You should go back and do some of your own, resiting.

Two sides to every story... EVERY STORY... There was also black-only towns, but no white person ever ran civil right movements there.

There is still today religion-only towns that if you are not in a specific religion club... You suppose to get outta dodge. Many small towns, that isolate themself off. Its nothing new to have gated community.

They also were not repressed they wanted to live in some towns, that were growing-isolated communities. Sure they were racist, but thats what the white people believed... As that is profound and ridiculous to hate for skin color -- That was their religion. An guess what they still have that lil hate, Aryan religion.
                Two stories...
One side says it was all about white people just hating.

The other side, declared it was an isolated town that black people came and force their selves into there.

That was the entire scenario. The federal government appealed the Aryans and allowed black people to live in the Aryan community.
Thats why there was so much anger from the white side ... Because "Freedom of Religion" and the Aryan's right was ratified... Aryans today still are seen for discrimination.

I don't know why any black people would wanna live near any Aryan/ KKK member, but hey... Thats their right?

So yea... Again, what repression were you reffering too exactly?

                • Vast Shadow

And thats where ROSA parks... And Martin Luther King came to be at.
In a massive Aryan society. Aryans were also very womanizer in their belief... Aryans believed females were to only give birth and thats it.

Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks gave a message... That message of that there shouldn't be that discrimination inside that town OR ANYWHERE in the USA.
Sure the black culture could have said, "screw y'all" and made their own hate towns... But Martin Luther King go for that, however Malcom X wanted too later on.
Martin Luther King wanted unity and it was best for the nation. Not just for black people... But for the entire nation as one.

USA is not a racist country... People get confused with ethic and religion and schools never will teach Aryans had a right. Aryans would burn me at the stake too and I am white... Aryans set me on fire because I don't believe in god -- I would be a `blasphemer or somethin in their little minds... An thats what they did in their religion... They were and still are irrational morons -- That put their faith before common sense.

Trump argument isn't racist... You can google black people that hate Obama and want to see his identification... Some people call Obama a lot worse things. I only disagree with Obama cause how he conducts business.

                  • aficionado

As an old self-employed veteran white guy, I voted for Obama because I support his policies. I've observed racism in action since the late 50s and recognize clearly that the most passionate and vocal Obama haters over the last several years were acting out their own racism whether or not they admitted it. You don't disrespect and dehumanize the president to that extreme over an issue like health reform. Only racism and religious bigotry inspire that kind hate.

                    • Patrick Manley

By your logic, George Bush was disrespected and dehumanized because he is white, or maybe Texan. That is a stupid argument. I particularly find the part, "Only racism and religious bigotry inspire that kind hate", completely stupid. Whatever "hate" their may be has to do with his disregard for the Constitution, freedom, liberty and federal law, not his race.

                      • aficionado

George Bush was God's curse on America for stealing Texas from Mexico. Look at the destruction his policies wrought. NYC, our military and our enconomy experienced great harm under his rule. I'm sure he never personally suffered the effects of racism. If he sufferes from anything it is likely guilt.

                        • LOL@thekoolaid
