Lady and the Tramp: Dog Travels 10 Miles to Find Shelter Mate

Ben and Jade were two German Shepherd strays fed by the staff at Benjamin’s Family Dining in Terre Haute, Indiana. When Ben impregnated Jade, the Humane Society sheltered both dogs to ensure their safety. The Lawler family eventually adopted Ben, but when they took out the trash one night, he escaped and traveled 10 miles back to the Humane Society shelter to find Jade. In a reverse "Lady and the Tramp" love story, Ben now won't ever be able to leave Jade behind because the Lawlers have now adopted Jade too.
