    Great idea, Los Angeles! I wonder if the city will be measuring any data to see how these parks impact the community.

      Good question. I was wondering about that, too. The article says federal money from the NSP program is being used, so there's probably some sort of evaluation plan (though probably not accurate, and completely quantitative). I was also curious about zoning - can the city really just bulldoze an empty home and build a public park in its place?!
