Kraft to Remove Artificial Dyes from Some Mac & Cheese Products

The iconic glow of creamy yellow in Kraft's Mac & Cheese products is that color for a reason: artificial dyes. On Friday, the company announced it would end the use of Yellow No. 5 and Yellow No. 6 in their SpongeBob SquarePants and Halloween-shaped line of Mac & Cheese products. An online petition, which had gathered over 348,000 signatures, was sent to Kraft earlier, urging an end to the use of the dyes. Yellow No 5, for one, has been linked to skins conditions, hyperactivity, and even cancer.
