We are missing opportunities to leverage sports as a way to teach kids about healthy lifestyles. Sports-related junk food marketing to kids is helping to undermine the naturally symbiotic relationship between physical activity and healthy eating. All of us – parents, coaches, and administrators – need to push back against this with our words and our actions.

    Thank you for posting. Play is so important for youth, especially with more tech being incorporated in their day to day. Have you heard of Sports Matter? Dicks Sporting Goods is giving money away for teams in need of equipment or uniforms. They're looking for teams to apply. Here's the info if you want to spread the word:
