Just Love

In the most basic terms, beyond the status of personhood granted to us by the state and the rights that it allows for, we are still human. Whether or not you then find yourself able to accept someone for the person they are positioned as under the law - gay/straight/male/female/etc - at the very least accept and love them on the condition of their humanity. It is, after all, when we are stripped bare of all of our differentiating features, that our humanity remains. Be a good neighbour and love.
