    ahh so beautiful! I have seen similar from swallows in central California. They house themselves under the overpasses along hwy 5. There are a ton of bugs out there and they go in swarms gulping them up.

      I don't think I saw a murmuration yesterday - it was no where near 10,000+ birds but I was driving south on the 395 towards Mt. Whitney. I looked up and saw something resembling a very dark cloud. It ended up being maybe 600+ birds floating just above the highway. The motion and rhythm was so fluid. We pulled over for about 30-40 minutes to shoot some videos - that alone doesn't justify how it felt to be right then and there.

      I quickly remembered this article of Wylie's that reposted the vimeo of these two girls. I'm now on a hunt to see one of these in my lifetime.
