So I too read the comments first and was waiting to hear something REALLY offensive for people responces. Maybe its because I'm black but it sounded like he said more offensive things toward black people than white. He said black people have lots of kids and family members, don't know how to organize themselves, and only buy vicious dogs. On the contrary, he said white people go to other communities to help minorities, bowl, brew beer, and have smaller families.
I've heard white and black racist comics and this one isn't really hitting any nerves for me. Let's not for get its COMEDY and that the election is OVER. In four more years we have another opportunity to choose the next leader of this nation.
As for me and my house; we will follow Jesus. Bump the rest.

    • karlschneider

Jesus...the same today, yesterday and forever, dead. Plenty of people voted for Obama for the same reason plenty voted against him, to deny that is just dumb. I voted for him because I was terrified of Romney.

      • Candice Dewhart

I agree with you on Romney but not Rublicans. What or ever is good for the nation.
Like I said, for me and my house. Jesus is alive for us.

  • Russell Penman III

In reading all the posts good and bad the one thing that really can't be denied is if you look all throughout history what is the one race that has bastardized all other bloodlines. What race has gone around the globe, stealing, raping, and destroying? People can be mad about a black man being in the White House but the one thing you can't argue is if you all weren't so lazy and left us over in Africa you wouldn't be bitching and griping about white's losing rights and all the other crap being said. It's amazing that in this day and age many white people still feel entitled to act and think that your shit doesn't stink, well wake up it does! It doesn't matter whether it's blacks, mexican's or people from India coming over here the white race is pretty much reaping what it has sowed for hundreds of years, thousands if you want to include history prior to the USA. If you all recall the Middle East, Africa had civilizations well before the white man came out the cave and started destroying things. I know what I say is harsh and cold but it's the truth. For the most part I like everyone until they open their mouth with the ridiculous claims. Just like the welfare and foodstamp lies, well guess what when I go grocery shopping I too see many white women with EBT cards and I also have seen plenty of section 8 caucasions as well. So if you all are that upset, there is always Canada you can run too. This is the new USA build a bridge and get over yourselves. You are not the future you are the past that is being replaced..............

    • karlschneider

You're a perfect example of why the "N" word is still in vogue.

  • keeping it Real

This is funny, but if a white guy was doing this skit saying black people need a black president, there would be outrage, people saying he was racist.
By the way 72% of the American population is White, only 12% are black. This means more white people voted for Obama than black people.
By the way being racist is not a crime, but people are trying to turn it into that.
The constitution states FREEDOM OF SPEECH, so Chris can do this skit, I love Chris Rock, and think this skit is funny, but just want to point out how Black people have more Freedom than White people, in 2012. Taking White people's rights away does not make it right, with what happened with white on black racism years ago. Now, there is more Black on White Racism, and I know cause I used to date a black girl, and when we walked arm in arm in white neighborhood people said hello, in the black neighborhoods, they would call her MOTHERF****KIN WHITE BITCH.
SOCIETY NEEDS TO GET A GRIP. As long as black people and the media make race an issue, it will always be an issue. Racism will never end and you can't make people change their beliefs, Racism is wrong, but people have the freedom to believe what they want, and if you don't think so then you are wanting USA to be a communist country.
WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!! DON'T GIVE UP YOUR RIGHTS!!!!!!

  • Carla Corey

I think this is good. Some white people (especially Republicans) need to see this. I'm a Democrat I don't always vote across the board. I dont care about political parties or color. I care about whos going to run the country the best. By the way... I voted for Obama

    • Marylamb72

      Carla
I thought it was funny. You seem to think I didn't vote for Obama because he is black? His race may be good enough reason for YOU to base your vote on but not me. You deny it but you accuse ME of that don't you? I don't care that he's black. Liberals are ones always going on and on and on about RACE. Democrats have historically been obsessed with race. From the founding of the KKK to opposing the civil rights act to believing blacks are too stupid to get into college or get ahead without a hand out and up from whitey.
I too voted for the person I thought could run the country best. It would have been ANYONE but Obama. My daughter could have done a better job when she was 12! It's got nothing to do with his race. It's got to do with him thinking the way out of debt is to triple it. It's got to do with him believing he does NOT need congressional approval to get involved in a war. It's got to do with him telling the Russian ambassador that he will be able to "be a lot more flexible AFTER the election". Aren't YOU a little curious about what he meant by that?
I think if you want to see a racist you should take a good close look in the mirror sweetie.

  • One4all

Wow, I decided to read the comments prior to watching the video. Many of you people need to have a FEW stiff drinks! Great Scott it's a Jimmy Kimmel segment for goodness sake. Based off most comments here, I thought Mr Rock providing actual political jargon to a repeatable(if any exist) political commentary. Not the case.
This wasn't the place for most of your comments. You ruined it -such downers! Yeah, freedom of speech is everyone's right but please vent on the right forums unless you purposely want to ruin other peoples joy. Personally, I've never been fan of the misery loves company cliche.
A few comments were humorous and very much appreciated.

  • bdrummer

couple grammatical errors.. I meant to say we are NOT far apart as people and you have TO know where he is coming from....my bad

    • Fraa Orolo

      More than a couple, bdrummer.

  • bdrummer

Now...here is the rub...which is which why we have such a divide from the far right and far left.. To actually understand chris rock, you have know where he is coming from.. (his background per se). He is actually making fun of Barack Obama...lol..he was not attacking the white establishment, he was comically making fun of the fact that Barack shares alot of the attributes our republican share. So in conclusion, we are far apart as people. We share alot of the same qualities which makes this country great, but when you try to disect or examine his message as literal, then we are right back in the same situation.. people calling him the "N" word, people thinking he is racist, or even pushing the black agenda...hahah.. its comedy people...what you should be mad at is " how shallow someones mind thinks that you cant see through Chris Rocks comedy to see the real picture"!!!

  • Joey Zanaras

I don't think he's being racist but I'm sure he's trying to get back to the fame he once HAD! .. He's pretty much fallen off-track and out-of-sight where Hollywood and Celbrity goes! .. Bottom Line___ He's Over! (NEXT Black Comic to fill EOE Quota PLEASE!!)

  • Barbara Shanley

Chris Rock's message is a load of BS. Even when he was in movies , he couldn't act one bit. His jokes are stale, and he has an annoying voice.!

Tired of having the black agenda shoved down my throat...isn't it funny that they all think OJ is innocent and Obama should be president...you tel me..are they voting facts or color? you tell me who is racist...

    • Raymond Levine

It appears to me that you are the racist here.

    • Nancy Rubino

I agree with you I'm also sick of the black agenda being shoved down my throat. We do know who is racist, don't we.

      • outspoken1

oh and since you want to get off the "black agenda"...lets get on the any minority agenda! It's not just about blacks. It's about all minorities who in many white people's minds dont belong! smh ignorant.

      • outspoken1

its not really a black agenda so much as real life. if you dont think there is still racism going on today, even though we should be way past that..you're an idiot. Factor is..blacks are downed by whites because they believe we are ignorant and just fools. when we arent! thank you

        • Marylamb72

          I don't think you're ignorant or a fool because you're black :)

        • humbleandtrue

We don't believe that , you people (yeah that's right) seem to think white people owe you and we don't. We weren't there when all that slavery crap took place. Get over it. We need a good president not a white or black one.

  • Chris P

Chris Rock is a comic and this piece is something called humor from the Jimmy Kimmel show, I don't agree with Obama but I know comedy when I see it. LIGHTEN UP FOLKS!

    • Marylamb72

      I thought it was hysterical.

  • RichardM

That's why people like CR are called ni**ers! They're dumb as a box of rocks (pun intended).

    • Marylamb72

I dont' watch him regularly but I thought this was funny. So I guess I'm green eyed blond ni**er?

    • outspoken1

NO ONE especially you or any whiteperson for that matter has the right to call an african american that name

      • RichardM

Actually, I DO have the right to call CR a ni**er. I noticed you said 'whiteperson' but I guess it's o.k. for blacks to call other blacks ni**ers, right? Huh?

    • outspoken1

how dare you even think about putting that word up here. Russell Penman Ill is right..that is why people like you are considered racists. That is such an offending word and for you to use it shows how dumb you really are!!

      • RichardM

Although I don't consider myself a 'racist', I'd rather be called a racist than an un-American, who has voted for that POS fraud we have in the White House!!!!

  • Terri Gabriel

The sad thing about this is it's no joke! There are millions of people out there that voted for that clown Obama just because of the color of his skin. It has to be the only reason because he's a horrible president.

    • Russell Penman III

Does this equal the number of people that didn't vote for him because of his skin tone?

    • Nancy Rubino

I believe every black person able to vote voted for that idiot just because he is black. They are stupid if they can't see what a bad president he has been. Obama will ruin this country. It's a damn shame!! If I could move to another country I would!

      • outspoken1

Actually not every black person able to vote, voted for him because of the reality that not every black person in the UNITED STATES is democrat..nor do they believe in what he has done! dont assume something you do not know without thinking about it. There are Black republicans out there believe it or not!! #youre stupid!

        • Marylamb72

          Outspoken
You had me till the last line which reminded me of my grandkids. Poopyhead! LOL
There are black republicans but they have to be really thickskinned because they get hammered from the liberals AND especially the liberal blacks. Just check out what happened to Stacy Dash when she tweeted vote Romney. Vulgar namecalling and threats.

      • outspoken1

      • Russell Penman III

So is he as bad as Bush? The one that lied to us American's about WMD and allowed this country to crash and burn all the while lying to us??

        • Marylamb72

I never really understood that claim. Aren't chemical weapons considered WMD? SA used them on the Kurds so obviously HE HAD THEM.
And just for the record at least Bush got Congressional approval. Obama says HE doesn't need it. Biden said he would lead the impeachment charge if Bush went to war without congressional approval but when Obama did it? shhhhh don't ask don't tell.

  • Elron Aven

Obama's gonna give rich clowns like CR what they voted for...good and hard.

  • dunwithit

Honey Boo Boo is more credible than Chris Rock

  • dunwithit

    How do you spell f#@*ing idiot?.... C H R I S R O C K this guy must be Whoopee Goldbergs' lost twin

  • Morgan Farmer

Obama is just like every other politician....they only care about you when they want you r vote. We can trust them ALL to do absolutely nothing good for this country.

    • RichardM

Actually, Morgan, every politician does not care about you when they want your vote. What they do is lie to you (they'll say what they think you want to hear) to get elected. Afterall, now that the Communists are in control of our govt the 'ends justify the means' right? Obama has stolen another election with all the vote fraud that has occurred again in the election!!!!! Now, there's a call for the FBI to investigate those voting machines that seem to have a brain of their own when you vote for Romney, up pops Obama.

  • Nanci Crocker

I like Chris Rock because he's funny, not because he's smart, as this proves.

    • RichardM

So I guess by that logic you wouldn't mind Hitler either if he could tell a good joke or two, right?

  • Rob Goergen

Imagine the outcry if this had been George Clooney with a "Message to Black People" Chris Rock is a racist, always has been. He even admitted it once. Screw Chirs and his "whitefaced" message.

  • Roger Carter

Chris Rock is a jack ass. Those of us on the "right" won't soon forget the likes of Rock, Beyonce, Jay Z, and the rest of the no-talent, talking heads. You want to "entertain", if that's what you call it, all the power to you. But your mouths have no place in the political arena. That's why my dollars have no place in your pockets. If you care so much about the poor, open up your wallets. My wallet is closed from now on.

    • girlpolice51

I don't particularly like Chris Rock or think what he had to say on here was intelligent, but I've got one thing to say to you. GROVER NORQUIST. So don't talk about anyone keeping their mouths out of the political arena. Everyone has a right to support who they want. This idiot Norquist gets the wackjobs to sign his little pledge to interfere with our country in a totally destructive way. With no consequence to his interfering dumbass, people who are suffering already are the ones paying consequences. And as far as opening their wallets, why don't you try reading some news that might be informative instead of believing the blatant lies on Fox.

      • Roger Carter

Nice logic sweetheart. Let me make sure I understand - because I don't like the likes of Chris Rock or Jay Z, that must mean all I listen to is Fox news? Actually I have a voracious appetite for all "news", and it's all pathetic. 99% of the mainstream media is in Obama Claus' hip pocket, as you well know, and the remaining 1% are a bunch of morons and hypocrites. At least your MSNBC aren't hypocrites these days - they'll come right out and admit they get off on being the Obama Claus mouthpiece. And you want to talk about suffering? Why is it that tens of millions more people are on public assistance under Obama Claus' watch, yet this is somehow the fault of the Republicans and Bush? At what point is Obama Claus held accountable for anything? You people are worthless, and not just because you're liberals - because you won't use your brains to think!

        • Marylamb72

I wish there was a like button.
          Amen Roger

  • labll

As a former US Marine I voted against Reagan and Bush but both were my commanders-in-chief. Obama is now the commander-in-chief and I did vote for him.

What is amazing is those who only support the president when their party is in office. Are they really for democracy of the constitution or for the money. I guess equal is in the eyes of the beholder is now the rule of law.

Has the United stated lost all it civility towards one another?

    • Marylamb72

      Thank you for your service.
Were you deployed during any of those elections? Did you get to vote? How do you feel about all our troops who did NOT get to vote in this election.
I support our troops no matter WHO is the president or who they voted for. I support their right to vote no matter WHO they want to vote for also.

    • Kim's World

      Thank you for serving!

    • Justin Garner

I agree with you on the support or at least respect the position once election is over. Though I would say democrats started the president bashing. Obama has had it easy compared to what Bush had to endure from Liberal media and the left in general. All that said, I (a navy vet myself) think we need to remove that commander-in-chief title from all presidents now and future. I am sorry, but even Bush's National Guard doesn't pass in my opinion, but someone with no military should NEVER be called the commander-in-chief. The reason Presidents had that title to begin with was because at one time in order to be considered a Presidential candidate even, usually meant you were a General or Admiral in the armed forces or a war hero. Your average American today could care less presidential candidates have served the country are wanting to lead. Politics today are driven entirely on media and party designation A or B. The person running themselves, are irrelevant

      • Marylamb72

Thank you for serving too. I have one nephew in the Army one in the Marines and one in the National Guard. I do think the NG counts. Pat was deployed to Afghanistan.
Just wanted to say, can you imagine the FURY if someone showed up at a protest with a sign that said, bomb the white house kill Obama as they did to Bush?

      • Marylamb72

John Dixon thank you for explaining to those negative comments against our Preaisent Barack Obama, God bless you young man...

  • crosstown

It's comedy people and he's actually funny. Don't be so uptight. Love this country or leave it.

    • mzdemilo

If we don't like Chris Rock, we have a right to say so.

  • Claire Moseley

Chris Rock needs to focus his efforts on being a comedian. I couldn't care less about his political views. As far as O is concerned, I didn't vote for him. Not because he's black, I couldn't care less. I didn't vote for him because he's inept, a liar, and the worst thing that has happened to this country as long as I've been alive.

To John Dixon--yes the president can advise. But O uses his executive powers to circumvent the congressional process. His administration uses policy rather than the regulatory process to effect wholesale changes in how business is done. O is a sneaky bastard who doesn't have this country's best interests at heart.

    • will81

In case you have seen in all of your years they all LIE. Really the worst thing that has happen to this country maybe with your old age you have forgotten alot.

    • will81

In case you have seen in all of your years they all LIE. Really the worst thing that has happen to this country maybe with your old age you have forgotten alot.

    • Michael Price

They all lie. None more than Bush, so check your facts. I'm sure you've heard of the Iraq War. Regulating business is a good thing since the deregulation by Bush helped facilitate the economic collapse! Maybe you should tell everyone the real reason you didn't vote for Obama. It is not because of the "lying" or the "regulations" but more likely your views on social issues with which you disagree, but are too afraid to make public.

      • Justin Garner

You may want to check your "facts" It does not matter who was in office,if Clinton was still in office, 9/11 is what caused the crash. During Clinton's final year and half the economy was beginning to slow after record highs. Simple economics, what goes up must come down. That combined with 9/11 caused the crash. During Bush's 8 years he only moved the debt 4 trillion while being in a much worse situation than Obama has ever seen. Obama though, is spending 4 trillion a year! Hate to tell you this, Obama lies just as much as any other politician. But, you are right about social issues. Many do not believe in a Marxist society and because of what it leads to. This is why millions of Americans have served, fought, and died for the sole reason to keep America from becoming a communist society.

      • Claire Moseley

I know my facts, I deal with this administration every day. I don't need someone else to tell me their version of the facts. For your information, I support women's rights, i.e, abortion and birth control, stem cell research, so don't presume to know my views on social issues just because I don't support O and his cronies. I didn't bring up Bush, you did. He has nothing to do with the conversation.

    • Bobo Kelly

So lemme guess, you were frozen in ice during the 8 years that the Bush Administration used to attempt to destroy this country?

      • Claire Moseley

There really isn't any point in discussing O with the folks on here. But, i have to say that Bush was trying to protect our country. He may have not chosen the way most people would support, including me. But he is an American who loves America. I don't believe O gives a rat's behind about this country.

        • outspoken1

If he loves us so much..why would he damn near destroy us??? Tell me an answer.

        • Russell Penman III

Bush was what? trying to protect this country?? That comment is damn near as funny as Andrew Dice Clay and George Carlin. Bush destroyed this country and lied to us all. But because he is white and from Texas it's okay and it's all Obama's fault.......SMDH...

        • mzdemilo

          OH Puleeze!

    • Matthew Desario

      Claire:
Obama is the worst thing that has happened to this country as long as you've been alive? Really, or is that just exaggeration because you're really trying to emphasize that you don't agree with his political positions.

Just to be clear, your list is:
      1. Barack Obama being elected (and re-elected) president
      2. The 9/11 attacks, the Iraq war, the Afghanistan war, the Vietnam war, the OKC bombing, Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, the JFK assassination, the MLK assassination, the RFK assassination, the VT school shooting, the attempted assassination of Gabriel Giffords, the market collapse of 1987 and 2008, and everything else that has happened in the last 60 years.

I really didn't like George Bush's policies, but did you know that BO has used executive power less than Bush, W, and Clinton? And even though I didn't agree with W, I didn't think he was an America-hater. I just believed he had a different view on the direction America should take--that of a nation builder.

It's ironic that you are posting your political views and yet you start your post stating that Chris Rock shouldn't post his. Chris Rock can thank (your) God that voters under 40 are leaning significantly away from your party, and voters in their 40s and 50s are lean away very slightly. Each cycle that goes by, people in your age bracket (60+) who do lean heavily towards the GOP get older and die at a higher rate than an electorate that is increasingly younger than you. And these younger voters receive information from a variety of sources, are more likely to be critical thinkers and college graduates, are less likely to seek government involvement on social issues, and are less likely to use the hyperbole and exaggeration that your post illustrated.

So the good news is, keep doing what you're doing. Embrace your anger and use hyperbole. Speak at people who disagree with your beliefs, rather than with them. Use words like liar, bastard, and sneaky as it really sets the standard for the conversation you're looking to have. And most importantly, continue to get older. :)

      • Claire Moseley

So Chris Rock can send a message to White People and I'm not supposed to respond because it's his right? I find it ironic that blacks are the one who consistently raise the race issue. They appear to be the true racists in this country. Or is it brought up in an attempt to intimidate others? Race has nothing to do with why I don't support O's communist values (at worst) or his socialist values (at best).

Why is it that everyone brings up Bush? Get over it. He's old news. I didn't like everything he did either. But I don't trust O and his pals. As far as O circumventing the federal process, I stand by my views because they are based upon what I have directly experienced in my work.

You think I support the GOP? Not, exactly.

There isn't much difference between the Ds and the Rs.

        • L.P. Harless

          Dear Claire,

The first paragraph of your post says it all when attempting to have a rational conversation with democrats, liberals, progressives, etc.

First, dems, libs, etc. are not rational. That is to say they are incapable of thinking through actions to their logical conclusions. As such, they have studied and become masters of deception, such as, the USPS is losing money. We accept this as fact. As an example, one might introduce this subject into a liberal gathering of thought only to be told something like: "So what? In the Daffy Duck cartoons, you know that wasn't really his voice, don't you?"

If you persist in continuing to argue with a liberal, which is what they want, their next nullifying tactic is to brand or label you. I.E. The most common brand dished out currently by the dems; If you don't like President Obama's policies, then you are raciest, possibly homophobic (since the president "evolved" last year, or both.

To pursue or to continue to try to make sense of the irrational is itself irrational and an exercise in futility and therefore not encouraged.

        • outspoken1

First of all Claire...blacks are not the only ones raising the "race issue." There is a race issue but it's happening to all minorities. We african americans are just willing to speak what we feel alittle more. How can we intimidate others when whites only think bad of us. You will never know what it feels like to be shut out because you are black. Now I am not saying every black person is good..just like not every white person is good..same goes for any other race. But I am saying not all blacks are the same. Have you even been around an african american. do you know what we go through trying in a sense to compete with white folks. Well I know! I play volleyball for a D1 university and as i began my journey to play volleyball I was obviously left out and mistreated because of my color although i was better than just about everyone on my team. It's ashame race has come into the 21st century when we should be past that.
We have all experienced negative whether it was with Bush or Obama! (and why is it that you keep putting O huh) I hate Bush but I can write his name. Get over yourself. It's like you white people are blind to the fact that there is racism going on to all minorities and it's coming from whites. Yall essentially put minorities down more of the children and young adults as soon as they are born because of their race. smh.
But I do agree with you on there isnt much difference between the democrats and the republicans..theyre politicians..they all lie to us to get the vote..and behind closed doors, in a sense f@#k up the nation!

          • Fraa Orolo

            We all hate each other.

        • Kim's World

Are you kidding Claire? You sound like a real pig.

You are absolutely right & to add one more thing, Obama doesn't care about the black community either. They have the highest unemployment, babies without father (causes poverty, et al) Obama cares about Obama. Chris Rock has always been a racist himself & it's weird since he makes half his money from whites. I guess he laughs aIl the way to the bank.

      • Russell Penman III

So Chris Rock and Mitt Romney are like twins, cause Mitt made his money from whites and laughed all the way to the Cayman Islands......

  • Cassandra Mettler

How convenient that this time around Barak Obama is white. First and foremost folks, lets get this straight. He's not the first black president, never has been. He's mixed. I didn't vote for him the first time and I didn't vote for him this time. Why? Because of his continual abuse of power, convenient omissions, constant attacks on our Constitution and of course the latest debacle with Libya. People want to say the Republicans are the ones that cut resources to the Ambassador for his safety. Guess what? Our president has this thing that he can use known as Executive Order and he's been using it to push things through that Congress doesn't agree on. He just waits until Congress isn't in session and uses, Executive Order and signs what our Congress can't seem to agree on into law. Prime example is Obamacare! Wake up folks, stop believing EVERYTHING you hear in the news and actually do some research on your own. Start thinking for yourselves. Stop letting the government tell you how to live. For pity's sake the First Lady is telling people what they should and should not eat. Guess what, we have doctors that we go to that are supposed to tell us that. We don't need the president's wife telling us we need to eat healthier, we don't need the government regulating how large a cup of soda we can order (New York). I could care less what color Barry/Barak is. He could be blue with purple polka dots, it doesn't change the fact that he is the worst president since Jimmy Carter and it doesn't change the fact that HE is trying to keep EVERYONE down by keeping the economy in the tank. What better way to control the masses? Keep people financially dependent on the government and they will look at that government as their "savior". Not me! I see it for what it is. Then again I am a free thinking American who wants to see this country back on its feet with more people employed, our rights restored to pre 9-11 and less divided than it has become. Oh, yes this wonderful president of ours has come to divide and conquer, don't ever doubt that. You can see it on a daily basis if you just look around. I was told that if I didn't like the president I could move out of the United States. WHAT?! Just because I have my own opinion and happen to be white I should leave the country I was born in?

As for Chris Rock....This is the same guy who thinks it's ok to mistreat pitbulls because in his limited opinion they're not even real dogs. I would like to know what he considers a real dog. The Obama family got the dog they have because one of the daughters is allergic and the dog they own is recommended for people who have allergies to pet dander. Way to do your research, Chris Rock! As for the dog's name of BO. Yes, the First Family named the dog after a Dukes of Hazzard character. No, I'm think it is a little less "white" than that. Considerably more egotistical in all reality. BO would be the president's initals, without his middle name of course. So for all of you who consider whites to be racist just because we chose to actually do some research on the candidates instead of just voting based on someone's skin color, I say good luck over the next 4 years and when you have to start paying taxes because your employer no longer provides insurance and you can't afford your own insurance remember who it was that pushed Obamacare through. Or when you lose your job because your employer can't afford to provide everyone insurance, but your employer still wants to stay in business, remember who pushed Obamacare through. Get the picture? Obamacare is a TAX! Just keep watching, it's going to get REAL interesting over then next 4 years. Obama can't blame Bush this time for the economy. This is Obama's economy that he's got to fix or just leave it for the next President to try to clean up. Merita is going bankrupt. No more wonderbread, no more hostess snack cakes. Got to love those greedy Union workers. All of this is Obama's economy. More spending, more taxes, more waste, more big government. Don't blame me for it. I didn't vote for him.

    • outspoken1

NO ONE ever said all white were racists..first of all! but many are. There are a lot of African Americans who did not vote for Obama..and that's because they did their research and theres also a lot of blacks who did vote for Obama because they did their research..so honey don't go there trying to be the victims in anything. and let's not forget, "black" is not the ONLY minority sweety!

    • mzdemilo

Where does YOUR research come from, RUSH LIMBAUGH?

    • Isabel Maione

Well said; I totally agree with every word you said. Now we'll have 18,500 more on unemployment to add to the 24 million. I know more will be coming. Got to give it to the needy uneducated who voted for this president. Know what they say; watch what you wish for, you just might get it. What goes around comes around.

      • Russell Penman III

So let me guess the 18,500 on top of the 24 million are all black right?? Maybe had Bush not allowed all those jobs to go to India this country wouldn't be so bad. But the job losses are Obama's fault too. Pretty magical that a 1/2 black man can be at fault for something that happened long before he came along...........

  • John Dixon

Well it seems you are all funny. Does anyone realize that the two houses are split. Meaning one is run by the republicans and the other is democrat run. Now the president can send all the legislation he wants to congress. If the people in congress vote it in then guess what you don't have proper and good representation on there and they are the ones who need to be voted out. The president can advise, he can pass executive orders but at some point congress has the overall capability to overthrow anything the president puts out there. The president is not the lawmaker he is the guy who is like the orchestra leader. He conducts the orchestra but he does not write the music. You all want to blame one man whether it is Reagan, Bush, Clinton or Obama. Figure it out people, know your branches of government the president is the person who simply oversees the executive branch. He can veto laws but congress can over ride by 2/3 majority anything he signs or does not sign. Again, these are individual people that you elect by popular vote. GET IT! It still comes back down to one thing...the "morons" who vote congress in are the problem. That is why the president gets elected by electoral college in the end and not popular vote and the congress is popular vote. Congress represents YOU...the president represents the country as a whole. Congress is the problem, any president is just the fall guy in the end. If the team does not do well, the manager gets fired. Fire the players who don't get it right.

    • Isabel Maione

Well let's see now. Clinton is a democrat and he had a republican congress, the budget was balanced first time in 40 years. Bush is republican and he had a democrated congress, and there seemed to be some flaws then. Now Obama had an all democratic congress in both houses for two years. Nothing was actually acomplished. Then for two years Obama had a republican house and a democratic senate. Seems that not much was done unless Obama sneaked in what he wanted. Now we'll have two more years of the same crap. I blame the voting fraud, the lies from the Obama administration and the uneducated liberal voters who think Obama is their mesiah. It's hard to fight the corruption the liberals throw around,.

      • Kim's World

You have no right to call anyone else uneducated. 1. Democrated isn't even a word. 2. Bush's democratic Congress voted up on some of the worst ideas Bush brought to the table- Ahem, No Child Left Behind, (or as I like to call it, Most Children Left Behind), which was the worst thing to happen to the U.S. Department of Education since offering public school teachers tenure...or how about those tax cuts for the rich, or bailing out Wall Street? All of those have been a part in destroying the economy. 3. Try doing some research instead of believing what you hear.

Barack Obama save this country from an economic disaster. Most of the deficit came from Bush's two wars, and Barack Obama is fiscally conservative despite what you think. I bet you call him the food stamp president, right? That Farm bill he just passed, cut everyone's SNAP benefits by more than $30. The average family of 3 now receives $200/mo. Sure, $200/mo can feed a family of three, but that would mean cutting out things like meat, fruits, vegetables, and real juice; instead living off of processed junk food and sugary drinks. That isn't an adequate diet for children, who need healthy foods from every group for brain development, and overall physical health. Perhaps, one of the family members has diet requirements due to illness, such as Type 1 Diabetes. This is what it's like in my family since my husband's T1 Diabetes caused neuropathy and legal blindness: We have only my minimum wage income. I came from a middle class family, graduated at 16, and had intended to go to college until I was told no because my parents made too much for financial aid and not enough to pay for it themselves. I was still on my parents health insurance and claimed on their taxes, so I wasn't allowed to apply for financial aid on my own. Due to my lack of degree, I've found living wage jobs are very hard to come by. This was never a problem when I was single because I didn't mind having roommates. It wasn't a problem until my husband was laid off at Apple, he was forced to take a job at a huge pay cut. They didn't offer health insurance and he wasn't eligible to be added to mine because T1 Diabetes is obviously a preexisting condition (and an expensive one at that). Since he is a brittle and insulin sensitive diabetic, the lack of adequate health care caused a rapid progression of the disease and within a few months he was noticing tingling in his extremities, and visual impairment. Eventually, after 4 cataract surgeries, he was out of options. Now it's just my income. Because our savings (our child's college fund) is gone, we now live off of $1,660/mo. after taxes. Our rent alone is $1,400 and that's the cheapest we could find that was deleaded and accessible to public transit that we need because we no longer have a car. Then there's the bills, food, and household needs. How are we supposed to get by without help? Neither of us have close living relatives. All we have is each other. I can't go to school to get a better income because I don't have the time. I work 60 hrs/wk for $7.50/hr. on top of raising a child, and caring for my sick husband. This country and people like you make me sick.

While I sympathize with your plight, I too was a single mother and at the time made considerable less than I do now. Worked 2 jobs most of my life to support me and my son. The problem comes in with the expectation that it is the government's place to take care of you, and it is not. I never received any kind of public assistance, ever. You couldn't go to college because of your parents income, well what happened after you reached the age that their income was not considered? I went to college full time and worked full time, Was it easy, NO, but I don't buy into the fact that it is the government's place to provide for me. Now I make about what you are bringing home after taxes, but my rent is only $680. NO WAY would I ever consider trying to pay $1400 a month in rent. You say you have no transportation, but you could get a cheaper rent, and buy a used car cheaper than paying $1400 rent. You have to learn to live within your means and you obviously are not. Your rent should be no more than 25 to 30% of your salary. I don't see how you do it now, because the power bill alone will throw you over the top. And People like me make you sick??

Well, I'm not you, am I?
            1) What happened after I became of age that my parents income wasn't considered, I spent 8 years working my regular job, then working the overnight shift taking care of my great-grandmother who had Alzheimer's because no one could afford overnight nursing care for her.
            2) Where do you live that you pay $680/mo for rent?? There is no such thing as $680 in rent where I live. Not even for a studio apartment. The cheapest studio you can find here is $850...however, I can't live in a studio or even a 1 bedroom because a) It's not not big enough for my family and b) It's against the law to not have rooms for each individual child if they are different genders. $1400 is cheap for a 2 bedroom here.
            3) Cars aren't cheap here. There's insurance, Motor vehicle excise tax, and personal property tax, and $200/mo for parking. Add gas and regular maintenance and your talking far more than I can afford even if I moved somewhere outside the city (which would still be no less than $1000 for rent).
            4) I can't afford hospice for my husband. That means I have to care for him myself. What part of I don't have time for school don't you understand?
You're a know it all who clearly doesn't. You fail to realize that your state isn't the same as every other state. I live far below my means, you ignoramus. I don't have a television, a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, a bed (I sleep on the floor), a couch, and if it weren't for my friend giving me her old laptop when she got a new one for Christmas last year, I wouldn't have that either. My electric and water is covered in my rent, I have to pay for gas and rental insurance. Who are you to say what will and will not throw me over the top, or what an apartment should cost in a state you've probably never been in, or how easy it would be to move and get a car? I have no savings. How am I supposed to afford first, last, security, a car, and a moving company? That would cost more than $4,000. Do you know how long it would take to save that much? It just took 10 months for me to afford a pair of new shoes. Yes, you make me sick. Comparing yourself to others, and thinking they can do the same, is disgusting.

            • Pamela Garrett

While I am not going to get into a crapping contest with you, I will say that i stand by what I said. Part of what is wrong with this country is that people no longer feel the need to be self reliant. I believe gov't help should be for someone who is down on their luck, not as a tool to support people through out their life. There are choices to be made. It is not feasible to pay $1400 out of $1600 in rent. While I don't know your state or your options, I do feel that there are section 8 apts or vouchers that could solve part of your problem. I also believe that these apts would be near public transportation as a matter of necessity. Also, where I live, hospice doesn't come in and take care of you around the clock, they only come once a day or every couple of days to help and are available at other times as needed. You should lose part of your attitude and get off of your pity party kick. As far as comparing myself to others, I am a firm believer that if I can do it, so can you and others. it is a matter of wanting it to do it and being willing to make the sacrifices that it takes to make it happen,

              • Kim's World

Also, I just realized you said something proving our stories are different. You said "I too was a single mother." - I've never once been a single mother. They have lots of help if you're a single mother. They do not have a lot of help for married woman with sick husbands. When you were a single mother how often did you have to clean up your husband's puke, or stand by watching him have seizure after seizure, or have to get in a physical altercation trying to give him insulin because he thought you were a witch trying to poison him, or have social services get involved because he got violent with EMTs and they had to call for police backup, and they thought he may get violent with the kids? Oh wait...you were single. You didn't ever have to do that. Care of my husband and kids, is a full time job with overtime. Add that to a full time job that actually pays money. Please, by all means tell me where I'm going to find time and extra money to continue to do all of this, plus go to school. If I can't do it, neither can you.

              • Kim's World

You don't say? I'm poor. I'm more than aware of my options for public assistance. You really don't understand the system, though. I live in a major city. Help doesn't come easily. I live less than a 5 minute walk to public transit in an apartment that already accepts subsidies. However, you can't just get a subsidy even though you live in a place that accepts them. You have to apply and wait your turn. We've been on the list for just over two years. I've never once pitied myself, and that's something people say to make themselves feel better about being selfish. I'm actually a happy person. I'm lucky to be alive. I wasn't supposed to survive the night after being born, and look at me now. I'm a happily married woman with a family, and a life full of love. I just would like to be able to eat three meals daily, so I can be healthy for my kids. Just because you did something, doesn't mean everyone else can. You and I don't come from the same walk of life. You are you, and others are themselves. Just because you had an opportunity, doesn't mean everyone else has the same opportunity. Your firm belief is the most ignorant statement I've ever heard in my life. How many heart surgeries have you had? I'd had 4 before the age of 9. I missed months of school at a time and still graduated early. I have done the best I can with the cards I've been dealt and again, there is nothing to pity. I have nothing but pride for what I've accomplished. You're a sick and sadistic individual. Seek help.

        • Pamela Garrett

While I sympathize with your plight, I too was a single mother and at the time made considerable less than I do now. Worked 2 jobs most of my life to support me and my son. The problem comes in with the expectation that it is the government's place to take care of you, and it is not. I never received any kind of public assistance, ever. You couldn't go to college because of your parents income, well what happened after you reached the age that their income was not considered? I went to college full time and worked full time, Was it easy, NO, but I don't buy into the fact that it is the government's place to provide for me. Funny? For you free thinkers and the one size fits all morality crowd think that anyone who does not agree with your jaded views is racist. This guy is a POS like the POTUS. Of course you all will brand me and others as racists, bigots, members of the KKK if we do not like the LIAR, traitor, American hating bastard that is sadly the POTUS While most of you may miss this, read this next line SLOWLY, OK? Ready: For me and many others it is NOT about skin color, period. If BHO was white, brown, whatever, I would dislike him every bit as much. It is what he has DONE (Benghazi anyone), circumvented our Constituion and I could go on and on. Oh yeah, of course we are 'low information voters' but the real LIV are the ones who voted for this liar just to ensure their entitlement way of life. Since I will be branded a racist by you morons who are consumed by the White Man's Burden and tthose who are victims of reverse plantation syndrome, enjoy your new taxes come 2013 and slavery truly comes from the left. I had been watching BHO going back 2003 and was alarmed back then. I hope he gets his sorry ass IMPEACHED and Chris Rock? A true racist.

    • outspoken1

no one ever said all of whites were racist. what was said is that all whites who think that all african americans or minorities only voted for obama because he was black..well yea that's pretty racist. And there are just as many whites who didnt vote for him because he was half aftican american, as there are blacks who did vote for him because he was black. there are some whites and blacks out there who did vote for him because they actually like him. everyone has a difference of opinion in this matter. dont knock someones opinions because they arent like yours. I agree with you on that.

      • Fraa Orolo

"...there are just as many whites who didnt vote for him because he was half aftican american, as there are blacks who did vote for him because he was black..."

        Nope.

    • Isabel Maione

Also well said, the only problem is that the house can try and impeach, but the senate has the final word is they actually do impeach. We are between a rock and a tree. We suffer for the stupid idiots who voted for hime, and again the 10,000 dead people, and don't forget mickey mouse and garfield the cat. Oh and this year I believe I heard Hitler voted too.

      • L.P. Harless

        Dear Iasbel Maione,

You must be new to liberal forums because you keep trying to introduce logic into the thread. The democratic, liberal ideology has no room and little patience for logic and common sense.

To persist in trying to introduce both into a liberal thread is itself illogical and therefore not encouraged as it is indeed an exercise in futility.

      • WA Jones

You should sue your school board and every teacher you had. The House does not try to impeach...they do impeach (may want to learn what impeach means). Impeach does not mean remove...duh...get it right...

    • chrisplumber

i so agree with you this man is the worst commander in chief we have ever had

    • Andy Derler

You are absolutely correct in that you will be identified (correctly so) as a racist and hate monger. Keep in mind it is and was the party you seem to support that drastically CUT funding for the consulate security and remained mysteriously silent when the bush boy had MULTPLE attacks and deaths on consulates in his reign.

    • Tim Shannon

"Of course you all will brand me and others as racists, bigots, members of the KKK..."

      Nope. Just stupid.

    • Rich Provinzano

I didn't see anything remotely resembling traitorous or American hating behavior on behalf of the President. If you are looking for something truly Un-American look no further than the Patriot Act. Obama didn't come after your guns. He lowered middle class tax rates. Let me reiterate: you haven't lost a country and the only rights you've lost are the right to act like a privileged, white crone expecting everyone to show deference simply because of accidents of color, religion, social standing or location. An increase in taxes on the wealthy is anything but class warfare, since it only undoes the tax breaks that Bush gave, and nothing more. If you think letting people whose jobs and living were lost become victims a second time is the American way and not genuine class warfare, you are in dire need of a remedial ethics course, sense of charity and compassion and close examination of what a real life of poverty entails. Many new families are in that boat because of corporate malfeasance and previous administrations undoing key market regulations allowing a global economic collapse, and loathsome actions of bankers betting against homeowners so they could take over their homes during the same collapse. It's made even worse by the Tea Party crowd (corporate interests touting De-regulation as taking liberty back for the common man), since too many of that cult are under the impression that taxes are unpatriotic. The original Boston Tea Party was a protest against taxation without representation in London, not against taxation. The original authors of the constitution put the necessity of taxation in there in article 1, section 8. Previous generations fought for the rights of the people in this country to vote. They voted, and a majority voted in favor of eliminating hardships for others by reminding those who have done well that they didn't do well inside of a vacuum. If that offends you, maybe you need to examine your values and why you have allowed age to allow misanthropy to encroach on your psyche.

      • bopgirl

Very well - should I say elegantly? - stated.

      • Isabel Maione

Let me get this straight, our country is heading toward socialism, our president should be impeached for the killing of our ambassador and three seals, our president runs a crooked campaign, sending letter to republican voters that they are ineligible to vote, our voting machines are tampered with, you vote for one candidate other than Obama and his name, (Obama still comes up, Thousands of dead people are voting, acorn and crooked thugs intimate the voters, and they have people voting more than once, you have black panthers with bats at the voting polls and the republicans are kicked out even when the court system is on their side, of course they disregard everything they want to. You have mandates against freedom of religion that we must help pay for others to screw around and then want to have us pay for them to abort their babies and their birth controls. We have a president who was never vetted and won't unseal his college records or proper birth certificate. He was a drug user in his day and their are five deaths under his watch, that's not counting our ambassador and the three seals. He had the muslim brotherhood at the white house two months before they attack our embasy and they still won't admit their hand in what happened. Wait til we hear something, if ever, that the attack in Libya was a botched deal. The ambassador was only supossed to be abducted and the mighty king was going to be the rescuer. The seals were told to "stand down" but they didn't follow those orders and were then killed. Valerie Jarrett who is Obama's right hand girl is from Iran and she practically runs this country. We are not standing with Israel who were our alies because we are standing with Iran who hates us, Not Obama of course because he is one of them.

        • L.P. Harless

Sadly, you will see, as evidenced by the post below, that the mantra of: "The Democratic party is the party of tolerance and inclusion," is a myth.

        • WA Jones

You are not made are you? Well you've got four more years to get over it. Cry a river and build a bridge and "GET OVER IT"...

          • James Rye

obama going to bend over so you can his ASS shit for brains

      • Rick Lakehomer

Poverty, do not even go there. You Assume that I a white privileged, rich person. Typical. Most and I mean MOST people would have given up or withered what I and my family have been through or they would have expected the government to bail them out in every way. Try this one: i am disabled, have managed to work and hang on to our home after two spinal fusions and eight shoulder surgeries with little help from anyone. I am now looking at more fusion surgery and you need to be not so quick to judge anyone as my comments were judging no one, especially by skin color etc. Yet you are quick to pull the garbage you pull. Compassion, charity, morals? Ask the Vet who just left our home with a load of firewood and several bags of food from us food so he can keep his family warm and feed them. He has been out of work for three plus years. I caught him two days ago trying to steal firewood from us and instead of calling the cops, I gave him the option of telling his story or me calling the police. He asked me to follow to his place and I did, met his three kids and wife. He is one of many we and my friends have helped; We have little yet we are willing to share and help and so are all the conservatives we know who are BTW, not wealthy or privileged tidy, whitey folks as you assume we all are. Class, financial, race warfare has been pushed by this administration like no other and I suggest you look at Alinsky's ten rules as I bet you have them glued to your forehead. Your arrogance and morality are what needs an examination. I suggest you pull them out of your rectum You are the perfect example of what is wrong in this country right now.. BTW, do some research on the tax breaks for the middle class. they are a lie just like Obamacare, which is robbing how much from medicare. The Bush tax cuts are but one tiny piece of the puzzle but of course, it is still Bush's fault who is a POTUS I found plenty of fault with. Your gavatar looks like the fat loser Michael Moore. Is he your hero along with Alinsky, Ayers, Dorn, Soros, Gueverra and Huey Long?

        • bopgirl

From your post you are obviously a caring, compassionate man. You also sound very bitter, which is a shame.

    • Clyde Dantignac

You have a right to free speech as everyone else, but if someone call you a racist, you wouldn't like that? You can call others 1. POS, and 2. Morons, but you want others to turn the other cheek when it's your turn to be call something other than a child of God. I'll just say this to you...I hope you feel better now that you've vented. Peace.

      • Rick Lakehomer

Maybe when Obama is impeached. Thanks for your kind thoughts and peace through superior firepower. Turn the other cheek? I really do not give a damn what people call me and it will not be the least time.

        • mzdemilo

Hey Rick, you're a real peace of work. I feel sorry for you. ("and it will not be the least time" ?)

        • Goodem

Obama will not be impeach, get over it, poor people was poor people before Obama. He is better than Bush,

          • Marylamb72

and they are worse off now. How's that hope and change working out for you?

  • 2012okcorral

    11-16-12
It is so horrifying that these people go around and show such hate toward me and my people. Why? It appear that they have such self pity and thinks that they can steal my money instead of working and being a productive individual of society. Why are you people so full of hate??

  • Wanda Faye Rigdon

why is everybody worryed or even care about color all the whites are having mexican and black babies by the thousands theres not gonna be a true black or mexican race onty all half and half of whatever they wanted to be called is gonna be the new race chew on that

  • syspro

Cynthia Scott - since you are a racist, OF COURSE you are a Democrat, that's the party of racists - always has been, probably always will be. The Democrats seceded from the USA rather than deal with a Republican President who was an abolitionist. The Democrats fought de-segregation every step of the way. Martin Luther King Jr was a Republican who was hounded and harrassed by a Democrat administration (JFK & his brother AG Bobby). Malcolm X said that any black person who voted for a Democrat was a traiter to his race. Oh never mind - go call someone on your ObamaPhone and tell them how wonderful your Obama welfare check is because you can't find a decent job, thanks to Obama and the Democrats.

    • Dahveed Writes

@syspro - You must not know who Chris Rock is; he's a millionaire. I don't think he gets welfare checks, and he does have decent job. As for me, I'm a Republican that voted Democrate across the board.

      • Isabel Maione

I was a democrate all my life until Obama got into office and I saw how the liberals are so evil, how they lie, how the media hides importand facts instead of being good journalists, I am now an independent and I'll vote for the person not the party. I don't like Obama not because of his skin color but because he is corrupt and evil and speaks with a forked tongue.

    • Bruce Williams

In that case, I'm proud to live in a country where the most racist party nominates a black man for the highest office of the land.
      (your logic is pathetic)

      • Goodem

        Amen

    • Jennifer Hart

The ObamaPhone? That was actually started by Ronald Reagan's Administration in 1984 after the crash & restructuring of AT&T. You know the same man that signed a very important Pro abortion law in California around 1967 ? Ya, that Ronald Reagan. Also, just an FYI, just because the Republican Party was not party supported by racists 100 years ago, or even 10 years ago, means nothing today. People change, so do our political parties. BTW, that's a good thing - It means we are growing as a nation. AND our President really is the product of both white & black parents. One year I voted republican 4 years after that Democrat. Some of us actually vote on issues and not just whoever is running for our "favored" party.

  • syspro

Another racist heard from... blacks voted over 90% to re-elect Obama, based on skin, Ya'll should shut the ef up about racism and go look in the mirror.

    • Beverly Ritz

Hey, "syspro"? Another dumbed down, low information voter? You betcha! The majority of people voted for the re-election of President Obama because we did our research, unlike you! Now, as a nurse, I have a challenging question for you: How would you manage financially if you or a member of your family received a catastrophic diagnosis of cancer? Well first of all you wld have had your $8,000 Medicare 'VOUCHER' if the R/R ticket had won. Now let's do the math here: surgery/chemo/radiation/meds = $100,000 (and that's a low estimate) minus $8,000 = $92,000 medical debt that will leave you in financial arrears for years. Now try digesting that one for starters! Or if you're an upper middle class member of society, (which I know that you're not--how? Your low class literacy just gave you away) you would be picking up the tab (through taxes) for millions of E.R. visits for those who are w/o health insurance; either way you would have lost if the R/R ticket had won. Guess what, "sys"? I'm from MA and M.R. was my gov. (or should I say my absentee gov. for at least one yr. of his tenure) and he left office w/the dubious distinction of being 47th in job creation. Now you do the math on that one. Furthermore, we have "Romneycare" (which he did his best to sweep under the carpet during his campaigning) and WE JUST LOVE IT HERE! So being "dumbed down" when it comes to the extremist, toxic Tea Party Republicans will not serve you well, at all. Why? Because you are a card-carrying member of the 98%/47% club and President Obama is fighting for you. FOOL!

      • Cassandra Mettler

        Hey Bev,

You want to talk about Obamacare and how great it is? Next year my mom will no longer be able to have necessary exams done because of her age. No more pap smears, no more mammograms. So because of your beloved president my mom could end up with cervical cancer or breast cancer and not even know it because of her age. So, because of Obamacare there is a chance that any female over the age of 70 could end up with cancer that could have been detected previously. I guess 70 year olds don't need to have pap smears or mammograms done, if they end up with cancer and die it's fewer people that have to be supported by social security and/or on medicare. You have to love that way of thinking. Plus Obamacare is just another tax on ALL of us. President Obama is fighting for no one except himself. He got what he wanted, do you really think he gives a damn about what happens to this country at this point? Keep dreaming sweetheart. Your beloved President Obama is all about the prestige of the office and nothing more.

        • Isabel Maione

Bev, I'll add to Cassandra's message. I work in a hospital, and what she says is true. I have patients that came here from Canada and other countries just for the healthcare we will soon be losing. One patient told me she came to this country and saved her husband;s life because he could not get the operationg he received in our country. Many doctors already have stopped taking medicare and you'll be seeing a lot soon of the dangers Obamacare will be doing for you.

  • Carol Ferrell

Chris, Loved your movie on hair. So funny. But you think too much in black and white. Love you anyway. And on the election talk, I wasn't even thinking about race, and I'll bet most white people aren't either, you insult us by saying this.

  • Cynthia Scott

Chris Rock congratulation for a Job well done... Keep it up until a great change is discovered.

  • Cynthia Scott

I saw it , I heard it... Now I read it. I thought no one paid attention to this great message of a divided society.

  • Cynthia Scott

Chris did the greatest, no shrink predicted for this election year. Kudos to a great young man sight. and inspiration.

  • Melvin Leppla

"Oh good job Chris." You've got to be kidding. Has everyone already forgot the vile crap Chris Rock was spewing before the election, now all is forgiven because his man won? !!"Screw You Chris Rock you stinking Hollywood Hypocrite!!"
Jeez, how people can be so shallow.

  • ScottInIndiana

I think this is great satire. I was worried when I saw the headline that I would find it either offensive or mean spirited, but it was neither. Good job Chris!

    • bopgirl

I agree. I think Chris Rock's humor is too sophisticated for many of our friends on this thread.

  • Noconnor78

Also the democrats are the TRUE racists if people would look into it. Why is it that if a black person has conservative values (many do since they tend to be religious and also want all the same things for their family and friends such as good jobs good education and the American dream) they are called an uncle Tom. Look at the history of the democratic party...segregation, slavery and the KKK and you will see that the people who were fighting for the rights of every person to be treated equal are now being called racist!! Hard to believe.

    • Cynthia Scott

You've gotta be crazy, really out of your head whom ever you are. Dem are very loving and forgiven. I have work in a Reps den caring for kids at the YMCA Dover 2008-2010 I was ever so surprise to what I have experience the treatment these narrow minded super W give to blacks. Black babies were so afraid of these monsters they cried until their parents return I was a savior to these kids, Oh forget about it, life must move on. ..Christ Rock you're great.,,

  • Noconnor78

The reason I could not in good conscience vote for Obama had nothing to do with the color of his skin or if he acts more black or white. It has everything to to with his ideas and actions as our president. He has made us weaker in every way. That being said I did laugh quite a few times during this video.

  • TruthFinderXXX

This administration has proved itself to be the most divisve in the history of the U.S.A.,
    I wish it were otherwise

    • Patriot77

Really? The divisive ones are the GOP members of of Congress who made their top goal from day one of Obama's administration, to make sure that he would'nt be re-elected ! They voted against every bill that the President submitted to Congress, regardless of the negative impact on the economy, to suit their own agendas. They were willing to let the economy decline last August 2011 during the Debt Ceiling negotianions to save the rich from paying a fairer share in taxes! So in fact, the divisive one's are the Republicans and the Tea Party, who feel that the people should suffer for the benefit of the 1% . Now the people have spoken, and they are no longer willing to allow Karl Rove, Donald Trump, Newt Gingrich, R.Limbaugh and others to determine the outcome of elections and the future of this country!

      • mzdemilo

        Amen, Patriot77.

      • Isabel Maione

The dems don't need, Karl, Donald, Newt and Rush to determine the outcome of our elections, their is so much fraud and corruption coming from the dems, why they even have the black panthers with night sticks to keep voters in line at the voting booths, they tampers with the voting machines, they have people voting twice in two states and don't forget the 10,000 dead people who voted and garfield the cat, mickey mouse, etc. oh and this year Hitler voted. wasn't that nice, feel better now?

      • Conservincali

The divisive ones are the GOP members of of Congress who made their top goal from day one of Obama's administration, to make sure that he would'nt be re-elected !

From DAY ONE Huh? You mean from day 730. For the first two years, he had filibuster proof majorities in both houses. THE REPUBLICANS COULD DO NOTHING TO STOP WHAT EVER HE WANTED. He chose healthcare and political payback for his cronies. IE, green jobs (which are now going bankrupt), union bailouts which actually broke the law. (see GM). Not jobs, not the economy, not the debt, (he added massively to it) They could have done ANYTHING!

        • L.P. Harless

You really shouldn't try to introduce facts into liberal or Democratic party threads. It only confuses them and makes them invent a new slogan and/or rant.

Not to mention it takes unfair advantage. Shame on you!

  • sugar renae

My daddy always told me "don't trust whitey"... and we're a white family!

This is funny stuff, shame some folks seem to have had their sense of humor paralyzed by sensationalized media and partisan politics.

@ sugar renae, your comment actually made me laugh out loud, literally. Thank you so much! :)

I think it is funny. But can understand that some people can find it offensive. It it just how you look at it. I see it as comedy and not as some kind of political message.
Racial difference an everything that come with it is a fact it is not fiction. In my opinion everything and everyone can be made fun of.

    • Cynthia Scott

EdsOn sorry it was a true message from daylight experiences. These folks are the sleeping monsters in society, when they skin their teeth for you never take it for a laugh.

  • Vast Shadow

Thats offensive... Not to just Obama, but to white people too.

Insults my intelligence, but degrades his. I understand why he's voting... his facts are all based of skewed campaign folk-lore and that folklore that people who voting for Romney is just racist.

I'm really tired of "slavery" and race bullsH#t. People that think USA racist since civil / independence of this nation. GO READ THE BILL OF RIGHTS. You will find, slavery was a co-race intersession. If you broke the law, slavery... Was a criminal punishment. White, black, indian, spanish, too mexican... You broke the law... YOu became a slave.
Racist country... I think there is more blacks that hate white, than whites who hate blacks.

Insult to my intelligence... At least I can tell, that it wasn't Bush who put the USA in a recession from late 2008-2010 . Congress asserted the recession and one principle Congress placed in motion that Obama campaigns with today.
Congress will not allow Obama to do anything... Because, OBAMA PUT THE USA IN RECESSION. Obama's changes have to be analyzed by Congress before they are even used. THAT IS OBAMA'S fault for screwing up. Instead of asserting his accidents Obama blames everyone else.

I do not vote because... Your vote doesn't count... The public is called " the popular vote" ... "The electoral vote" is the `REAL vote that is done by a state parties called "Super-delegates"(Google what super-delegate is cause 9 out of 10 people do not know what a super-delegate is.) .

I am no longer a fan of Chris Rock -- The idiot is racist... He insulted the president and insulted my intelligence, by doing the mediocre act of `white people don't vote for Obama cause he is black" . That mediocre BS... Is so over heard and used its annoying. An it only really shows that people who use that acquisition as substance, is either stupid and do not follow/understand politics or the person is just racist.

    • Patriot77

What cave have you been living in? Obama caused the Recession? You're quite right about one thing though................People as ignorant as you should never vote!

    • ScottInIndiana

I became involved in politics in 2003 because of my outrage over the Bush doctrine and as a result have observed something over the subsequent years ... Outrage while a great motivator to take action is a terrible tool for convincing anyone to change their mind. I sense a little outrage in your post.

I assume you and I both agree that the Electoral College should be eliminated. However I would disagree that voting does not count. I live in Indiana a Red state and the majority of the time I vote for Blue candidates for President. In 2008 it obviously counted because the state went Blue, but most of the time it doesn't and even then I feel my vote counts.

This year President Obama for instance won convincingly in electoral votes, but from a political point of view he would be in a weaker position if he had not also won the popular vote. Perhaps if more folks like you would have voted he would not have won the latter.

Bottom line you should always vote if you have an opinion and you obviously do.

    • avalon74

This was not a real political ad - its satire. If you have followed Rock's career, this has been part of his act for a long time - he makes fun of black people just as much as white people.

When you talk about other races being slaves - you're really talking about Indentured servitude - you could be sentenced to be a servant to pay off a debt or crime. In some cases the people that immigrated to the US signed contracts to become Indentured servants in lieu of the passage to the US. After a specific amount of time, they completed their sentence or contract and were freed.

Where as a group of hunters rounding up the inhabitants of Africa - being sold at auctions like livestock that are never going to be freed - that is completely different than what you are talking about.

You choose to ignore real facts. Check the Dept of Labor stats - the Recession was well under way before Obama ever took office. - Unemployment rose more under Bush from 4.4% in May of 2007 to 7.3% in December 2008 (a total of 3.9% under Bush). That continued rise from January 2008 to 10% in Oct 2009 (a total of 2.7% under Obama) so it actually slowed down under Obama before it leveled off.

      • Marylamb72

        Avalon
Read Black Rednecks and White liberals by Thomas Sowell(who is black btw) The word "slave" actually came from "slav" because so many slavs were taken as slaves. YOU should read some history that hasn't been revised to suit a political agenda.
BTW too. Those "hunters" rounding up the blacks in Africa were mostly other black tribes who would sell them to the white traders.
My grandmother came to the US as an indentured servant.

      • bopgirl

Thanks for this - I always enjoy posts with real information in them.

      • avalon74

That should be 2.9% under Bush

        • Vast Shadow

Chris Rock was better in the begining.. He had better character. Now he seems to just not care. Sorta like how Steve Colbert is... Just a pompous douche that has no substance but wants to say something and be popular.

Chris Rock would at least think about what he was saying as his career started to be on TV. He always had a strong levity of racial jokes and consention for all black, mexican, and white races.

Its not "SATIRE" it is mediocre. Doughy. It was just said to get some good fans with an assumed popular opinion. But that popular opinion of White people only voting white... Is an idiot's idea.

          Group of hunters...? LOL
They were actually slave traders. Mostly during the crusades -- As Europe british(The ones after the pilgrims and Red Coats) -- Used slaves and are evenly the ones who brought them to the America's.
Spanish too -- Spain, believed in Slavery. What you think Spanish are all from MEXICO? TRY AGAIN, they killed the Mayans off and are from SPAIN!

Africa -- had kingdoms as well... Most Slave TRADERS... hense the word `trade... BOUGHT slaves from Kings and Sultans of Africa.

The whole... Everyone hates black people... Is called "Propaganda" . Propaganda is material conspiring to dilute truth from fact, aimed at a particular audience. All this everyone hates black started emerging during the 60s around the time Malcom X was around. or Muslim.

Chris Rock has became doughy and lame... If you don't think about your message your giving -- You really just stand for anything. An Chris Rock has shown, hes mediocre and will stand just for money.

          • Cynthia Scott

Lord you are purging your system will grow weak, what a great relief Chris Rock did for you .. No more Dr again for you hon bye...

  • Rebecca Carroll

I mean this in the most not black-rage-y kind of way, but why is this funny exactly?

    • seitzinator

      It is called "tongue-in-cheek"

    • Vast Shadow

Its actually racist... Chris Rock evenly insults the president, using white-ethic as an insult... He calls the president white and he appeals that white is a crap way to be.

Chris Rock is an idiot too... Says that white people only vote white. I was going to vote for Hillary in 2008, but since she stopped running... I had favor in Obama.
But I think the mediocre BS of people only are racist... Is so over used and usually comes out of Hollywood's ass... Bill Maher acclaims the USA is racist... Bill O'Rielly says USA is racist... The daily show with Jon Stewart -- Says that USA is racist... Steve Colbert says that USA is racist...

I am sick and tired of hearing this lil crap about it... Chris Rock was the first black guy to openly direct that White people should vote for Obama cause he is white... Racist accusition stating, "hey white people he is white so vote for him"

Even Oprah did not want to vote for Obama, because Obama screwed up.

      • mzdemilo

        So Oprah told you this?

      • avalon74

Oprah never said she wasn't voting for Obama - what she said was she wouldn't going to actively campaigning for Obama this time because she was too busy running her new TV network.

        • Isabel Maione

If you must know, Oprah still supports Obama and I believe she gave something toward his campaign, but Oprah was kicked out of the white house by Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett. They were afraid she was too powerful more so than them and they didn't like that.

      • avalon74

Stop spreading rumor as fact. Oprah never withdrew her support of Obama, I could see why you think so - you must read every rag website on the net. Try a real news source.

        • Vast Shadow

No actually there is a youtube video with her announcing it... You can google it or what ever... I'm not going to look it up.

          Rag website?
Nah, just the ` rag ones them rags put more effort of charisma into.

    • Pete(r) Karinen

I think it's funny for exactly the same reason that I think stuffwhitepeoplelike.com is funny. Stereotypes and comedy aren't mutually exclusive IMAO.

Why didn't you think it was funny? Were you offended?

It's an interesting topic to discuss - Dave Chappelle passed up on $50 million from Comedy Central because he no longer thought he was making the world a better place with his comedy (or at least questioned it). He looked around at the people quoting his material, and decided that either A) this wasn't the audience he wanted to reach, and/or B) this wasn't the material with which he wanted to reach them. He didn't want the responsibility of being the voice of a generation; I'm just happy he chose a different way out that Kurt Cobain, who struggled with similar feelings.

What kind of responsibility, if any, do you think comedians (or entertainers in general) have to their audience, or to "make a difference"? I would posit that the only responsibility a comedian has to his audience is to make it laugh, and that maybe Chris Rock is even doing something right if he offends people...

      • gracekim

I love that we live in a country where we get to poke at our deepest insecurities and latent flaws through comedy. I'm thankful for this if only that it sparked a conversation amongst strangers here about their values.

I think I feel it's a sort of "too soon" situations -- joking about Hurricane Sandy the week after it hits; joking about adultery a few weeks after your best friend's girlfriend leaves him for another guy. President Obama is black and we need to allow him to be black in a non-monolithic, individualistic way before we can joke about him being white. And also, although long a fan of Chris Rock, I am struck that his best work is behind him. What's more, his best work is when he talks about the reality of black/white relations; not the hypothetical of black folks being white to please white folks, even in jest. If that makes any sense.

        • Ynnis Glytyr

You must be color blind ! For the very last time....Obama is NOT black. Even so you black voters wish he was black, he is NOT black. It's time for you blacks to acknowledge that simple fact and get on with your lives. Obama is 50% WHITE and 50% black. How many times do you need to be told that his mother is WHITE ? Obama dislikes his black part so much, that, except for his wife and children, he barely surrounds himself with black people. At most, the colored people he surrounds himself with, are like him - mixed folks. Believe me, Obama knows that blacks in general do not gain him popularity, because of what blacks in GENERAL represent - unemployment, drug dealing, killing themselves off, pants that hang below the butt, laziness, crime, ignorance...That, of course, is bad for those black folks that want to accomplish something in life....that's why he has always and always will distance himself from the black population. If you haven't noticed that by now, you are either blind, dumb, or just ignorant. George Bush Jr. had more minorities in office, than Obama. Hmmm....why was that? I reckon I don't need to tell you again why.

          • Fireoasis

Now your being the racist one. NOT all blacks represent unemployment, drug dealing, killing themselves off and so on as your rant says. Obama struggles with placing blacks in office in that he has to be careful not to show 'favorites' he has to juggle that he doesn't show racial favoritism even, he could just frankly have found people better for the job. However even as a white person I find your clumping of all blacks into the category of what they represent appalling. This is what is wrong with racism. People - no matter their race- should be judged on their actions. druggies should be judged as druggies, not based on their skin color. Now someone walks into your office dressed as a gang banger but is white and someone walks in wearing a nice suit but is black are you going to assume the white buy is a bigger threat? Yes, because again you are closed minded and judge people based on their LOOKS, their clothes, their skin, you need to stop judging people on their looks and start judging on their ACTIONS. YOU are what is wrong with our society.

        • amapola08109@yahoo.com

WHOOSH...That's the sound of the tongue-in-cheek message going over everyone's head who missed the humor here. Chris Rock is not criticizing Barak Obama for acting white, he's "reassuring" nervous conservative white voters who don't feel comfortable voting for Barack Obama (and distrust minorities in general) that Barack Obama really isn't so different from them.
Far from adhering to black stereotypes, Barack Obama fits the white stereotype that should feel comfortable to conservative whites and reassure them. He's doing it with humor and wit because he's a talented comedian.

There's no inherent criticism of Barack Obama in pointing out that he fits the white family stereotype (small family) even better than the superwhite Romneys (5 children and 14 grandchildren). Nor is there harm in reminding conservatives (again with humor) that in fact Obama was raised by white grandparents in a value system that should reassure conservative whites, even using the name "Barry" when he was young. This in no way negates Obama's self-identification with the black community as a mature adult (he did after all resume using Barack when he grew comfortable with his on identity upon maturing, marry a black woman, etc). Don't lose sight that the sarcasm here is leveled at making uptight whites that balk at voting for minorities feel that minorities are not so different from whites after all.

The message here, told with humor, is ....hey, he's not so scary, is he?

Chris Rock is not saying that Barack Obama is acting white to please whites at all. He's actually saying that Obama is what he is and he doesn't fit either the black stereotype of what a black president should be, nor does he fit the white stereotype of a black president-- a threat to white society. Using humor to convey the point is effective and thought-provoking.

          • Marylamb72

Yes he IS scary. Not because he's black but because he really and truely believes that the way to get out of debt is to triple it. Also, I really have to wonder what he meant when he told Russian he could be more "flexible" after the election. He's also scary because he has said he doesn't need Congressional approval to go to war. Scary. Liberals HATE Bush for Iraq but at LEAST he had congressional approval.

          • Marylamb72

How can Obama ACT white, when he IS part white? Explain acting white to me, please!
