Inner-city kids benefit from Science Club

Chicago has its share of worthwhile after school programs, but there's a unique program running at the 50-year-old Boys and Girls Club of Uptown.

Science Club aims to develop professional scientists out of inner-city kids with the help of some graduate science students from Northwestern University.

    Thanks for sharing this. I've seen a few news stories lately about how crime rates in Uptown are on the uptick so it's nice to hear some good news. It's also nice to see that NU students are the volunteers, which brings much-needed mentorship into the science equation.
