In This Brand-New Library, A Robot Fetches Your Books

This library in North Carolina includes 3D printing lab, a digital games research lab, and a political thinktank. If you want a book, you enter it in a computer and a robot goes to get it for you. This means books are tightly stored, and don't take up as much space. But part of the fun of looking at physical books—I think—is the ability to browse in person. I'd be sorry if my local library lost that.
