In the Slums of Delhi, Girls Receive a Creative Education Through the Arts

When 24-year-old Sonal Kapoor started the NGO Protsahan three years ago, she hoped to help at-risk girls often subjected to sexual violence, domestic abuse, or forced to work in brothels. While most girls in Delhi's slums don't attend school at all, many of Protsahan's students eventually go on to government schools. Through art, digital stories, photography, and design, Kapoor and her team are helping girls improve their health and sense of self-worth along the way.
