How to Start a Repair Cafe in Your Neighborhood

When it costs more to fix something than buy a new one—whether it's a piece of cheap IKEA furniture, a toaster, or even a smartphone—it's not surprising that so many things end up in the trash. Part of the problem is bad design that makes repair difficult, but most of us also aren't quite sure where to begin. Enter repair cafes, which started a few years ago in Amsterdam.
