    I try to meditate every night- with an app! Is that cheesy? I wonder if there's a better one out there than the one I use, which is called Simply Being.

      Ben! Sounds familiar...I had the same problem, but what has worked for me is trying different TYPES of meditations. The best advice I ever got on it was figuring out what was your biggest obstacle. If you find it's really hard to physically sit still try a walking meditation, or something like yoga. If your mind wanders try Transcendental meditation by using a mantra to keep focused. Deepak Chopra has great iphone apps and online videos. Also, try a mindfulness meditation that practices observing thoughts and sensations without a mantra but just the breath to help you stay put. There are so many different kinds, so it's good to be in that process of trial and error, you're totally on the right path.

        Thanks, Katherine! This encouragement and advice means a lot. I've been doing mindfulness meditation, but am now looking at mantra/tm as I find it less punishing. I'm gonna check out some the other stuff you recommend as well.
