One way we can work towards ending human trafficking is by passing laws that outlaw trafficking, treat children as victims instead of criminals, & establish recovery programs for survivors. The Polaris Project recently launched their 2013 State Ratings map. For the first time ever, 2 states (New Jersey and Washington) have perfect scores! Let's celebrate that victory, but keep in mind that most states still lack basic victim assistance protections. We still have a long way to go.
