Infographics have a way of transforming the way we visualize data. But how do you actually retain information from looking at one? Working with collaborators to collect over 2,000 images, she found out that people remembered human-recognizable images the most. Anything with curves, over six colors, and visual density won. Bar graphs and charts lost.
