I love these data points- the site is so well done! Fascinating that women and people in South America are the hugest demographic to take part in selfie culture. I personally only take a selfie if I'm in front of a landmark or a cool piece of art and no one is there to take a pic. Or, I take it if I have a new hairstyle or something so I can show a friend. But- I honestly find that selfies can be narcissistic if done too often- though I'm willing to be challenged on this bec I know there are communities around selfies.

I'm participating in #365feministselfie and love it. I think selfies are fantastic because they're our best insight into what others like about themselves--something we rarely hear aloud, especially from women, who are much more prone to talk about features they dislike!
