This is a refreshing perspective on modern medicine. It makes complete sense that families would want to do everything in their power to keep their loved one alive. The money doesn't always matter because you can't put a price on a life, but it seems that families don't think about the other costs -- the pain and suffering that is being inflicted. I've never discussed anything like this with my family, but maybe I should.
