Have Researchers Found The Fountain of Youth?

It's a protein called Sirt1 and it works in the brain to delay the onset of aging by extending youth. Researchers have proven that mice with a higher number of Sirt1 had "significant extensions" of their life span, among other positives--it helps protect against age-related declines of one's physical body, oxygen consumption and quality of sleep, and delayed the onset of cancer in mice. Cool, but a little freaky. What do you think?

    I wonder what activates this protein in the brain? Is it affected by the food we eat or how much sun and sleep we get? So weird!
