Do we really want all our wilderness land mapped though? Google wants to map the entire world—but is that really progress? Is it possible that we may lose something in the process? I'm no luddite, but somehow I can't help but think that in a country with declining visits to National Parks, year after year since 1999, this may not help. I for one, don't really want all my secret hot springs and hidden gems of waterfalls and favorite surf spots (!) photographed and mapped.
