from a design standpoint, it's fun and creative. the fact that it's not completely biodegradable kills it for me though. i don 't mean to be too harsh, but it's a pretty useless item, and probably not worth the resources that it uses to be produced. maybe the edible/biodegradable material could be applied more effectively in a different product? ( i can't think of what though)

i agree...i'm also not sure what the best product would be, but i think there's probably some use for it. maybe seasonal decorations like susan suggested above. :) or, if there was a good system for reusing the electronics in a new product, the lamp could work. it would really be best for something that you only want temporarily—packaging would be ideal, but it doesn't seem like anyone would want to eat packaging.

Pretty cool idea. Although I wouldn't want one myself. This might be a great idea for college kids who only need furniture for a few years.

What are you willy Wonka? There is a obesity epidemic that possibly going on too.

Is that fruit rollups ? If its not in strawberry I wouldn't buy it.

Actually the obesity scam was allowed to encourage to use less resources / food because of all the shortages. One of the main reasons I try to encourage people to re-invent farms instead of reinventing stupid things.

Either way... having something like that in your house would make ants and other insects enjoy your insides more. It would spoil... Any kid that ate the Green-patch that forms on it would be hospitalized.
If it is anything like Bendaroos I would not eat it... Bendaroos are the most horrible liquorish. I ate so many i couldn't stand straight up... And taking a poop wasn't easy. Bend-a-what, Bend-a-whoo ... They sale that candy too kids too. Just isn't right.
