Free Pop Up Libraries

Stereotank, Architectural League of NY and the Pen World Voices Festival have partnered to install a pop up library for residents downtown. The design promotes curiosity, allows you to peek and browse, and inside gives you an immersive feeling of your very own personal literary collection and reference.

    Promoting literacy and the appreciation of "real' books...this is an age where ebooks are quickly becoming the norm...I am grateful for the many initiatives that I have seen of late that are bringing books directly to people in incredibly inventive, captivating ways.       Thanks I agree. I love like this as well. Growing up as a kid with real books in a real library I definitely got nostalgic, and also it made me think about how different the experience is. A book hidden under layers of apps on your Kindle is very different from a hardback demanding to be finished on your night stand. Appreciate this!
