Foster Parent Sees the Value in Adopting an Older Collie

Terry Albert always wanted a dog like Lassie, and when she started volunteering for the Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue, she came across a Collie that was older, with a congenital eye problem and arthritis. Albert fostered the dog and named her Colley Girl, but when a family came to pick the dog up for adoption, Colley Girl would not leave Albert's side. The family did not end up keeping the dog due to the dog's eye problem, so Albert adopted Colley Girl, and has since found that she is one of the most loving companions, for her family and her other pets.
