Food that Re-grows Itself

A friend of mine has recently taken up kitchen gardening; Basically anything that she can grow and decorate her interiors. The simple science of using the seeds or even simpler, the scraps of your food, to generate new food -- woke me up. We get caught up in throwing everything away, when there's an amazing potential in a one time purchase of a fruit or vegetable.
