First Step Toward Dream Decoding

Historically society has a shared obsession with trying to recall and interpreting our dreams. And because of our limited access to the subconscious, researchers have been unable to give us a definitive answer of whether our dreams actually mean anything. In a study published in this week Science journal, scientist Yukiyasu Kamitani explains that his team developed a decoding program using brain scanning to be able to predict content of the volunteer's dreams for a first step in dream capture.
