FILL THE SPACE: A RESIDENT'S GUIDE TO CREATIVE PLACEMAKING.

Seshat Yonshea

FlLL THAT SPACE is the first interactive guide in which residents, artists, community leaders and small business owners can use in order to understand how placemaking can increase the vibrancy of a neighborhood. It is my hope that residents can use the guide as they begin to recognize the creative potential in their neighborhood.

This guide is the result of my final project while studying at SCAD. An official Fill That Space site and other download options will be available soon. Enjoy.

I love this toolkit, Seshat! Are you doing something with this for Neighborday on April 26? You're so cool.

Thanks Alessandra, I hadn't thought about it. That weekend we celebrate my sons birthday so ill see what I can come up with that day...maybe print some copies of it for my neighbors or make some available at the local library.

Perfect idea. Simple is the way to go. We had a lot of ideas like that in this hangout. Like bake cookies for your building- or throw a bbq in your front yard- or write notes to your neighbor that you have things they can borrow if they'd like (like a ladder or mixer). Here it is if you have time to watch: http://www.good.is/do/organize-a-simple-neighborday
