Faces of Justice: Stunning Black and White Photos of Human Rights Leaders

"I wanted to give a face to social justice by making portraits of human rights pioneers. Peering through the camera lens, I hoped to gain an understanding of how they become so devoted to the rights and dignity of others," remarked photographer Mariana Cook about her new book "Justice," that features 99 beloved luminaries like Sir Sydney Kentridge who served as lead lawyer in Nelson Mandela's trial in '62, to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who helped champion this week’s historic gay marriage win.
