Here we visualise the fascinating chemical, Ethylene Glycol also known as Ethanediol (amongst other names). Ethylene Glycol is used as one of the primary ingredients in Antifreeze because of its very low freezing point but did you know that as you dilute it with water the freezing point actually lowers? A mixture of 70% Ethylene Glycol and 30% water has a freezing point over 4 times lower than pure Ethylene Glycol...amazing!
