    The idea is great. I'm hoping that they will implement this technology worldwide to stop illegal logging.

    Jamie, thanks for posting this! It is so awesome and comforting to know that there are individuals working to fight a problem that isn't mainstream. I wonder what the punishment for processing illegal wood is besides jail time. Is there a fine you pay?

      I think the punishment probably varies depending on the area and on how much illegal lumber one possesses. I read about someone who got 5 years in jail in Australia, but I'm sure there are people who get away with a fine and a slap on the wrist.
