Where I live and work are two of the most important things to me, and they are usually one and the same. I move a lot, but I'm always on the look out for a community, in which I can participate and contribute.
My preference is historic neighborhoods. Twenty years ago I just happened to buy a house that was four doors down from the house my dad lived in as a boy. A year later, my brother moved a few doors down, same block, the other direction. Nostalgia Lane. We were two blocks from the university that my daughter and I hosted international students from, for a number of years. Great times!
