Cooking in the Dishwasher - Better for the Environment?


I went to bed last night and woke up this morning in some amazing alternate universe where you can cook dinner in your dishwasher without being shut down by the Health Inspector - and it might just be more environmentally friendly! Apparently Oprah recently got on this bandwagon, too, so you just know that we’re about to see her on the cover of her magazine pulling a 5-course meal out of her Maytag.

    This is fascinating. SO- like a deep pressure cooker? And you wouldn't wash plates during it? Not sure if it saves the environment, considering it takes a long time to run a dishwasher. Just wondering how it would make an impact. I think boiling veggies is just as effective, no? You just can't do it all at once.
