CEOs See Lack of Government Intervention in Moving Towards Sustainability

The third CEO Study on Sustainability--a large survey of CEOs around the globe--found that while a majority of CEOs held that "business is not doing enough to address global sustainability challenges," 83 percent see efforts by governments "to provide an enabling environment for the private sector as integral to advancing sustainability." In other words, policy infrastructure weighs as heavily as market forces in the fight for sustainability, and CEOs may be willing to bend with climate policy.
