Came across this story while editing a story (currently under wraps) for our Winter Issue. It asks whether our environmental crisis also a crisis of imagination and cites the work of science fiction writers like Paolo Bacigalupi and Octavia Butler, which imagine worlds of wild environmental speculation, imagining just how radically different things are going to get, and just what humanity will have to do to adapt and sustain.

    Well, on a positive note, there were real-life Quidditch games inspired by Harry Potter and childrens' camps inspired by Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Can't think of a sci-fi parallel off the top of my head, but maybe stories could serve as inspiration for new ways to organize and manage our activities.
