    I like that this video game uses "breaks" from play to push kids into real world situations for practice.

      I like that, too. That connection between real and virtual worlds in a low stakes way is so great.

    Yes, a video game can teach compassion and grit. Just the same way that Mortal Kombat taught killing and dismemberment and war game teach kids that it is OK to eliminate your enemy and GTA embeds weak minds with the idea that doing whatever you feel is totally reasonable.
